RUSH: Audio sound bite number 10, this morning on CNN Jim Sciutto is talking to James Clapper, who was as corrupt as Brennan, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence. And Jim Sciutto says, “Are you concerned that Barr or Durham’s investigation will find wrongdoing and seek to punish former intelligence officials like you?” CLAPPER: The message I’m getting from all this is, apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh, by the way, blown off what the then commander in chief, President Obama, told us to do,

In heavy German accent:
"Vee ver only followink orders!"
Didn't work for the Germans, either. They all hung. Clapper deserves the same, along with about 3 dozong other traitors.

Wow! So the Obama administration wasn’t quite as squeaky clean as we were led to believe? I’m shocked. Shocked!

One of the things about this entire fiasco that really bothers me is the complete lack of any interest by the media, or apparently any republicans in the Senate, into the origin of the whole Russia iinvestigation.
Even if all of the allegations about a russian mole in the Trump campaign had been true the opening of a multi-agency investigation into a presidential campaign by the leader of the opposition party should have been one of the most CYA paperwork and legal opinion backed endeavors government ever embarked on. At every single level from the President down to the agencies receptionist should have been overwhelmed with the enormity of wiretapping a presidential candidates office, of opening FISA surveilance operations on campaign workers, on using foreign operatives from unfreindly nations to gather intelligence against a presidential candidate and especially the leaking of that intelligence to the media.
The fact that there seems to be no appreciation of the terrible precedent this has created is more scary than an actual Manchurian Candidate. It is a headlong attack on our very core democratic process. If this were not a coup plot ALL of the major players in our intelligence communities would be spending a significant amount of their time explaining what justified such a tremendous breech of our political process, why the information that precipitated such a dangerous course of action was sufficient to endanger a presidential election, and why it risked the litteral appointment of a presidential candidate to the highest office in the world.
The fact that no one seems to care how cavalerially our own goverment undertook this investigation chills me to the bone. Mainly because had Hillary won, we never would have known the investigation was even started let alone that it had resulted in the removal of a candidate from the race on innuendo alone.
This should upset every American, regardless of their political affiliation. It smacks of a star chamber, above the law and operating in secrecy against the interest of the general public.

So, only compile reports, not STOP anything.
And someone else would hand it over to the Trump Admin?
And that someone else would also declassify as much as possible?
Never happened.
Is Obama being set up as the fall guy?

Let these fools blather on long enough and they will say all sorts of stuff that they probably will later regret.
Clapper is going to get some nasty phone calls about this. Along the lines of "You idiot, look what you said, ON TV! How are we going to deny this NOW?!!" His co-conspirators will not be pleased. I wonder if he might be put on a suicide watch.....or Arkancide watch.

Obama didn't mind actively interfering in Israel's election back in the day, if I am recalling correctly. His entire administration was rotten to the core but no one ever seems to be made to pay for such misdeeds.

I don't really expect any help draining the swamp from republicans. With guys like Burr and Romney that are as corrupt as Schumer. But at least Chucky is honest about hating us and America. Once again the only ones supporting Trump are us.

If hitlery and the dnc hadn't paid to have the british and russians and ukrainians and who knows who else produce phony accusations against President Trump, there wouldn't have been any russian interference and meddling. Just what, exactly, did obama tell you to do? Were you a good little nazi, and said "ya wohl, mein führer"?

#4, the media is looking to protect their sources, so they won't be looking into this too much, unless some major indictment or arrest is made.
I'm starting to feel that Durham and Barr have some big news coming, and it's not good for a few, particularly Comey - presumed to be an e-mail essentially implicating him directly.
My hunch it Rosenstein has cut a deal, and a few others.
That Clapper mentioned Obama as directing this whole thing, as if it provided them with the political and legal cover, is astounding.
I recall there was an audio of some lady from the Obama admin, that was played on Hannity's show, who bragged about how they had buried documents to ensure the Trump administration couldn't alert or change them. Wonder what has come of that person, and if she has been interviewed.

Of course it went to the top. There would never be a rogue operation carried out by multiple senior admin officials. If there had, Obama would have been furious and had their heads.

What completely blows the whole narrative that Clapper is peddling out of the water is that any legitimate counter intelligence investigation regarding the dossier would under normal circumstances be handled by the professional FBI staff that would verify it, determine its sources, and develop a complete report on its credibility and value that senior policy officials (Comey, Clapper, Brennan, Obama) would then be briefed on. There would be a documented process and hardcopy reports that would be preserved under the National Archives Act and would have been available to the Mueller investigators.
But this was different. This was Trump, Hillary's opponent and the guy who could not be allowed to win. So the policy heads bypassed the normal investigative channels and decided it would be better to save their country by laying a trap for the evil Trump and keeping everything among themselves. It would be easier to control and they wouldn't have to get all wrapped up in all that Fourth Amendment "stuff". Same goes for that FISA court silliness. Just shine 'em on and tap anyone that might be calling Trump with something juicy.
Obama, of course, is at the top of the food chain and is either a clueless "Emperor Claudius" or, more likely, an enthusiastic defender of the "insurance policy".

Apparently, the Obama administration was either the dumbest ever in power, just absolutely convinced that their antics would never be outed or convinced that Trump would be run out of office before they were caught.
Had Hillary won, none of this would have seen the light of day. And by dragging out impeachment over three years has given the defense time to start digging.
The dems have boxed themselves in. If they don't impeach and remove Trump asap, their dirty laundry will be aired. If they fail to remove Trump, or beat him in 2020, there will be hell to pay. Trump isn't the forgiving type.
Right now, I believe the impeachment charade is nothing more than an attempt to drive up Trump's negatives high enough that he can't be re-elected. Its all they have, and if Reid taught us anything its that dems will lie through their teeth to win.

Clapper: Yes sir. Shall I do this with a spoon or fork?
Doorknob Hussein: I don't care how just do it!
Clapper: Anything you say, sir.
Clapper's Wife: For crying out loud, why'd you do it?!
Clapper: I was just following order.
