MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota campaign finance officials said last week that U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar misused campaign funds in violation of state rules. They also revealed that she had filed joint tax returns with her husband years before they were legally married and at a time when she was married to another man. The revelation put the freshman representative under more scrutiny from critics who have taken issue with her marital past. Isn't there a tax penalty lurking in there somewhere, though since we are speaking about Rep. Omar, I guess she gets another reprieve. Someone somewhere should be compiling all of these charges that never get charged if you are a member of the Democrat party. I think it would make a very fun and informative book.

They come to America with the intent to do exactly that. As President Trump said, America is the Piggy Bank of the World. Why? Because WE let it happen! Case in point, this low life like Omar, tramples and circumvents the rule of the land without consequences and now we're paying her to LOOT our wealth.

Oh sure, no criminal intent so she's unlikely to face criminal consequences. Shades of Mueller and once again a 2-tier justice system. What do you think the IRS would do to you if you claimed no criminal intent? That's right, the add-on penalties would be so great they'd be unpayable and you'd end up in Leavenworth.

Elizabeth Warren leaped ahead of Bernie Sanders into second place in a pair of Democratic presidential primary polls released Wednesday. Warren has overtaken Sanders nationally, according to a new Economist/YouGov poll, which puts the Massachusetts senator ahead of her Vermont counterpart 16 percent to 12 percent. Former Vice President Joe Biden still leads all contenders with 26 percent support. Warren also polls ahead of Sanders in Nevada, where Democrats will caucus next February after the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary. Biden leads the first Monmouth poll of likely Democratic caucusgoers in Nevada with 36 percent support, followed by

WASHINGTON – As some Democratic presidential candidates are pushing back on blistering criticism from President Donald Trump that their party has become "socialist," Sen. Bernie Sanders on Wednesday doubled down on his embrace of the label. Touting his "democratic socialism" approach to politics as the best way to address income inequality, the U.S. senator from Vermont sought to rebrand the controversial term during a high-profile address – even as some within his party worry that a leftward lurch could hurt Democrats in states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin next year. "Over 80 years ago, Franklin Delano Roosevelt helped create a government that

DAVENPORT, Iowa — During a campaign swing through Iowa this week, Joe Biden mentioned that his family recently dined with former President Barack Obama's family. At a Houston fundraiser, Biden joked about the infamous expletive he deployed in congratulating Obama's health care victory. And Biden recently tweeted an image of Joe and Barack friendship bracelets. The message is clear: Biden really wants you to know he's still friends with Obama. He's betting that by dangling nostalgia for the Obama years before Democrats, he can help rebuild the diverse national coalition that twice propelled Obama to victory. Obama hasn't backed any of

EL PASO, Texas – The photos showed migrant families fenced in under an international bridge, huddled against the cold, their children shawled in Mylar blankets. The images, which captured national attention in March, sparked criticism about the treatment of those seeking refuge and asylum in the country. Federal officials issued statements saying they would transfer the families to a "location with more space and shelter capability." Three months later, a makeshift detention camp still occupies a parking lot at the foot of the northbound Paso del Norte international bridge in downtown El Paso. Freshmen Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants Congress to give itself a $4,500 pay raise next year. That would boost her salary to $178,500. AOC scoffed that a 2.5% bump in pay was “not even like a raise.” Before that, she grumbled that her income was merely a “living wage.” She also complained in a tweet that if lawmakers don’t get a raise, it “makes campaign finance reform *harder.* ” And it “increases pressure on them to keep dark money loopholes open.” It makes one wonder if AOC understands

California wants to look after its people, so it keeps expanding its social safety net. It also wants to welcome all comers and so embraces illegal immigrants and protects them in sanctuary cities. To see how this is working out, visit Skid Row in L.A. or neighborhoods in San Francisco or elsewhere where homeless camps are spreading. Caring for all Californians is made harder by the state importing as many non-Americans as possible. It's almost incredible, but also entirely characteristic, that California lawmakers have now decided to give healthcare free to nearly 100,000 illegal immigrants aged 19 to 25.
