Sen. Mitt Romney returned from a Middle East tour saying that he saw no alternative to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict other than the two-state solution. The Utah Republican, his party’s 2012 presidential nominee, has just assumed the chairmanship of the Middle East subcommittee in the Senate. Romney’s conclusion could put him at odds with the Israeli government, which now says that the two-state solution is all but moribund, and with the Trump administration, which has retreated from U.S. policy endorsing a two-state outcome.

I put this next to Romney warning about not using tariffs as a negotiating tool in negotiating trade deals.
There would still be two states, Israel and Jordan. There is no Palestine.

Go home, Romney! Anyone with an ounce of brains understands that nobody in the ME wants a two state solution...they want Israel wiped off the map. THANK GOD you are not the Secretary of State!

Get “woke” Mitt. The only solution your Muslim buddies will ever accept is the total destruction of Israel and her people. Foreign policy is best left to adults like PDJT and Bebi Netanyahu....... You were outflanked by Candy Crowley. Go sit in the corner and be quiet.

Mitt Romney is not stupid. He is dishonest and unprincipled. There´s a difference. He didn´t go to the Middle East to figure out how he could help Israel or to come up with a viable path forward. He went there to damage President Trump here.
Romney´s agenda is to restore his father´s liberal establishment Republican Party and destroy President Trump. He has missed no opportunity to stick the knife in our President, and now he´s traveling abroad to find more knives.
Mitt Romney needs to be primaried during the next election, or he needs to be removed from the Republican party and forced to run as an opponent of the party and its leader. Vote him out or kick him out. I don´t care which but Romney needs to go.

Its so obvious this jerk is not a Republican. He needs to be removed so he can align with his real allies: The Democrats. As long as Mitt continues to say he is a Republican, all he will do is confuse people.

This guy would be wise to shut his yap. A bit of creativity would not hurt him either. He’s as grating as fingernails on a chalkboard.

I can think of a two-state solution - Utah and Minnesota. Sell them both to Canada

The stupidity of Romney is appalling. Lets see, a two state solution. How long have we been talking about a two state solution and how long has it been failing. Well for decades. Problem, the Palestinians have refused since day one to accept Israel as a state. Every peace process has been stalled by that one problem which is driven by their deep seated hatred of Israel.

Willard ´the Brylcream guy´ only said that to discredit President Trump and harm his stance with Israel.
I can´t believe in my older age I had to vote for the likes of Romney and McCain because I refused to acknowledge the Kenyan as being a real citizen of America. What a waste of my vote and time.

And this historians, is why he did not get the coveted position of SecState. He is a sniveling idiot of epic proportions who would spend more time in front of a camera than doing his job.
Romney´s only principle is to never acquire any core principles. If you have those, it means you have to stand for something. Romney is totally against that.

Arabs will only accept a one-state solution. One with no Jews in it.

# 8 is right about Romney. But without any politically viable, homegrown conservative talent in red state Utah - we have what we have.
Is he better than a Democrat? Perhaps he is, around the edges.
Romney´s burr-in-our-shoe Middle East posturing was to be expected, and will have zero effect on policy. My real concern about him is where it comes to judicial nominations. Will we have to massage and entreat him when it comes to a close vote on the next "controversial" (by leftist MSM standards) SCOTUS pick? We´ve no choice but to stay tuned.

The "so called" two state solution has been a failure for half a century now.
Continuing to keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is the working definition of insanity (or stupidity).
Since elected, Romney has acted as a destructive force in the Republican party.

So, what Mitt Romney is saying is that there is NO solution, because anybody who has been paying attention can see that the Arabs will never accept two-states.
