Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Republican senators running for re-election next year should not couple their messaging to President Trump but rather run “independent” campaigns built around how they’ve helped their states. The Kentucky Republican, who is himself up for re-election, said senators’ races are big enough that they can escape the gravity of the presidential race and establish themselves on their own.

Mitch´s advice: We are the uniparty. It has worked to get us reelected before, why not stay with it now.
I hope some new, real young patriotic republicans appear in the primary to challenge these RINOs.
President Trump needs loyal help, not this. Drain the swamp, and that includes Mitch.

Any moment now,the usual suspects will justify voting for anyone with an R next to their name.
As has been domonstrated time and again, voting for the lesser of two evils only gets you more evil...

The crap show we are witnessing now Is because we lost the House.
As I recall. Mant GOP candidates that lost their House seat had tried to distance themselves from Trump at some point.
Bad advice Mitch.

Even when we had the House the Uniparty made sure nothing got done. One of them is dead, and he has been replaced by one who should be. There are still plenty more.
No matter who you vote for, they serve their owners and it aint us.

This is the strategy that lost the House last cycle. I sense MCConnell would love business as usual and gridlock for another 4 years. That way you get to collect money from everyone!
Immigration is the #1 issue and you can distance yourself there. The results of the Economy and Foreign Relations success are Trumps as well. you cannot distance yourself from him and find any issues to own.
Find a way to say you like what he;s doing, not how he´s saying it.

Mitch proves he´s stupid with this advice. Congress has an approval rating of about 15%, while Trump´s approval rating is heading into the upper 50 percent. Sure, run against the Trump agenda. It´s a winner according to Mitch. Sound advice from the leader of the stupid party.

Another example of Republicans proudly turning and stiff-arming their own.
Democrats never do that.
Don´t worry, President Trump. We have your back.

I suspect McCony´all does want Scummer back in charge. That way, he has the salary, prestige, graft payoffs, and media spotlight...without having to do any work.

Yertle Turkey Neck is the HEAD RINOcrat and you damn well better suck up to him--
The voting public is getting tired and weary of people like him who they give money to and work to help get them elected only to find out that all the platform and party loyalty they provide is trod underfoot in their efforts to sell us out and ´get a piece of power´.
He is another corrupt unindicted person who needs to be run out of office

Poster #17, since I saw Governor Bevin respond to the liberal lady for gun control,
I´ve been an ardent supporter.
It still rankles me, his comment, "I´ll punch the Tea Party in the nose."
The Governor would win in a walk.

The Pubbies could run on the great economy, historically low unemployment, rising wages, etc. I´m just saying . . .
They could contrast that with the proposals of their opponents to take us to long-line, government-controlled, tax-and-spend, no-growth socialism. I´m just saying . . .
They could stand for LIFE. They could talk about how their opponents refuse to defend children who survive abortion procedures. I´m just saying . . .

The Congressional Republicans are definitely members of a Uniparty Congress, a covert political entity that would not be able to exist if it were not that way.
But McConnell is right, in that as former Speaker Tim O’Neill used to say, “Congressional politics is local”, and to be successful both Congressional Representatives and Senators must be seen by their District or State constituencies as representing them in ways that those constituencies agree is right, as if those Districts and States like what their Congress Critters are doing, those politicians will most likely win re-election.
In that respect nationwide polls on congressional approval are generally bogus and misleading, it is what is happening politically in the individual Districts and States that is important.
President Trump is a big boy and knows how to run a winning Presidential Campaign.

Not a player. He gives lip service when he must, yet in spite of the President’s glowing praise of him, Mitch bites the hand that feeds him.

It looks like the Uniparty´s masters have decided that flipping the house is not enough to stop Trump so they have directed their minions to flip the senate as well. Mitch was always perfectly happy under Schumer so he doesn´t mind.

Even Democrats that won in the last election that gave them the majority in the house RAN IN SUPPORT OF TRUMP! 53% Approval is fantastic and we are looking at a landslide coming down our way. Mitch would sooner be the Minority Leader than no leader at all. A Trump supporting Senate would show him his seat in the back and he knows it.
