President Trump declared America "full" on Friday as he warned illegal immigrants and asylum seekers to turn back from the southern border amid a surge in arrivals. Trump traveled to the border with Mexico in California as part of a push to put border security at the heart of his 2020 reelection campaign. He told a meeting of military officers and local officials: "Our country is full. Our area is full. The sector is full." Whether it was illegal immigrants or asylum seekers, the message was the same, he added. "Can´t take you anymore. I´m sorry," he added.

A federal appeals court has upheld a 2017 Kentucky law that requires abortionists to perform ultrasounds prior to abortions and offer mothers an opportunity to view those images and hear descriptions of them prior to a final decision for abortion. The law, known as the Ultrasound Informed Consent Act, also requires physicians to offer mothers an opportunity to hear their unborn babies’ heartbeat prior to abortion. I’ve covered the Justice Department for three decades, and seldom have I seen a story like the one published in the New York Times this week under the headline, “Some on Mueller´s Team Say Report Was More Damaging Than Barr Revealed.” What concerned me most is that the story’s anonymous allegations reflect a fundamental misunderstanding of the role prosecutors play, including special counsels such as Robert Mueller. The job of prosecutors is not, as the Times headline suggested, to pen “damaging” narratives about people they couldn’t indict.
