Gillette’s new Gillette Venus advertisement campaign features morbidly obese women and transgender models. The company claims “ALL types of beautiful skin deserve to be shown,” but it has experienced resistance and widespread mockery on social media. An advertisement featuring one obese model for the campaign, Anna, was captioned, “Go out there and slay the day.” (Tweet/Photo) “Venus is committed to representing beautiful women of all shapes, sizes, and skin types because ALL types of beautiful skin deserve to be shown,” declared Gillette in a Twitter post. “We love Anna because she lives out loud and loves her skin no matter how

Is this the same Gillette that thought it was a good idea to browbeat men for all being bullies and liking barbecue? What hyper-progressive loon brigade is running that place, and why do they want to ruin their brand?

No. Not all skin is beautiful . Especially when it’s stuffed with pounds and pounds of ugly lard.

This type of messaging turns me off. Nope - would not buy their products at all.

Who´s the spy inside Gillette destroying this company? Sure hope it is private equity firm, not some public company, where my mutual fund manager might have - for some stupid reason - invested a few shares in my name in this self-destructing company....
reminds me of the idiots that bought the yellow-page companies - but these wounds are self-inflicted, not the progress of technology....

Talk about doubling down on stupid! I bet they lost a million customers after their last advertising idiocy . This ought to be good for losing a million more, and gain perhaps a thousand SJW types (who mostly shave only occasionally anyway).
For the record, BIC makes the best razors (even if it is a primarily French owned company) and Barbasol makes the best (and nearly lowest priced) shaving cream.

Of all the destructive messages being shouted these day, I think that fat is beautiful is the one of the most dangerous. At the last high school graduation I went to I couldn’t believe all the fat young girls in skimpy sundresses. I’m thinking more of long term health issues but it’s just not attractive.

Who at Gillette is making these decisions? I would like to know more about the person that leads in this thinking. I really would. Anything goes?

I´m confused. Gillette´s message seems to be that we should learn to love our NATURAL BODIES but we should buy their products to remove the NATURAL HAIR that grows upon them.

For at least the last 100 years, ads have featured attractive models.
That is Advertising 101!!! You aren´t just selling a product, you are selling an image of a product!!!
I guess Gillette wants their image to be "the woke company"!!! I guess that will play well with the bull dykes and hair bun girly men out in Cubafornia. But it´s just going to turn off people in sane places!!!

when they had their first bullying homosexual ads a few months ago i switched to Schick - after 30 years with Girlette - and it was a GREAT move.. the Schick seems to be of a higher quality AND the top of the blade assembly flips back.. very neat..
will NEVER buy a Girlette product again..

Gillette, meet Dick´s Sporting Goods. They, too are dying of self inflicted wounds.
Free advice...Beautiful people sell things. Regular people buy them in the completely unfounded but common belief that they, too will be beautiful if they use this product.
Ugly people just sell ugly. I can get that in a mirror for free.

When I was a kid GIllette sponsored the Friday Night Fight (boxing) on TV.
Now men are yucky.
Like others here, I dumped Gillette after their Super Stupid ad campaign. No regrets.

I was going to sneak into a cable news station and play the jingle that Gillette used to use during the Friday Night Fights but I changed my mind. I would have been up all night due to the sound of exploding heads. At Gillette.

I´ve been boycotting Proctor and Gamble brands period. When I researched the company, I was surprised at the number of brands and how many of them I "used". P&G will lose several hundreds of dollars annually, from me alone.

As a child, Gillette used a march that symbolized their razors. The Look Sharp March. The Boston Pops with Arthur Fieldler did a super job on it. Gillette has changed their theme to I Feel Pretty.

Kellog lost billions after their bout with "severe leftist mouth", and then Dick´s has lost $150 million in their antigun SJW hysteria, so I wonder how much Gillette will lose?
Schick and Bic both make fine razors. Gillette has joined Kellogg and Dick´s on my "no aid to the enemy" plan.
