Disney’s ‘Mandalorian and Grogu’
Flops Hard in Weekend Three

Original Article

The bottom of the box office barrel for Star Wars is unquestionably Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), which petered out with a $214 million domestic gross and a $179 million overseas gross, for a global total of $393 million. That’s catastrophic math for any blockbuster. For a Star Wars movie, it revealed a major disturbance in the force, and that disturbance went by the name of Kathleen “The Force Is Female” Kennedy. Remember, Solo is a movie that told fans that the legendary Lando Calrissian would be revealed as a robot-humping “pansexual.” I don’t know what a pansexual is. I don’t want to know what a pansexual is.

Comments:

Mandalorian and Grogu? For $50, bucks Wifey & I could go a theater filled with 'teens' and find out it's not an Asian meal.

Long ago I loved the Star Wars stuff. Disney and this leftist, incompetent woman director have totally wrecked it. I wouldn't cross the street to see one of those things for free now.

My kids remember the day I got them out of school early. I drove by the small theater in my town and saw that they had the 'Return of the Jedi' playing, it was opening day May of 1983. I went in, bought four tickets, went home, called their school and said I had forgotten to write notes to let them out early at noon. At noon, they came running out wondering what was going on and I think it was my oldest who shouted...'we're going to see the Star Wars movie aren't we'? We had a great time. The best part was when the movie was over and as we were walking out thru the absolutely crowded lobby, we passed a handful of my daughter's classmates. They looked at her and couldn't believe she had already seen the movie.

The first Star Wars opened on my husband's birthday. We made a day of it. Fun movie, a good meal.. But for goodness sakes the 250 Star Wars movie is a bit long in the tooth. There does come a time when a movie, or book, or television show needs to end. The first one was fresh and different. I never cared for any of the others but I assume the next 2 or three were enjoyable for most but enough is enough. This woke nonsense is just that - nonsense. Do you really want to be dealing with a trans sexual Harry Potter in Book #106?

I remember sitting through the first Star Wars movie and thinking that this was something wonderful. Computer generated scenes depicting futuristic people and places (yes, I know it was a long, long time ago), a feel good storyline of good vs evil (compete with a rescued princess), and tailored made for the big screen. Even after it was over, you knew another one was coming to the theaters. You have to be six kinds of stupid to kill this golden goose.

House Democrats spent years selling Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as the competent, sensible Midwesterner the party needed. A bombshell House Oversight Committee report released Monday tells a different story. The report, titled "The Cost of Doing Nothing: How Tim Walz and Keith Ellison Fueled Minnesota's Fraud Explosion," concludes that Walz and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison were aware of credible, systemic fraud in federally funded social programs as early as 2019 and did nothing. Their reasons for inaction weren't legal barriers. They were fear of lawsuits, fear of being called racist, and fear of upsetting the politically active Somali community in Minneapolis, a constituency both men depend on politically.

One man sits at the top of a short escalator, surrounded by trash; he offers a running, often threatening commentary about the end times. If asked to move, he screams. Sometimes he just screams. In the main plaza, a drug addict in tatters reels across the floor, accosting anyone who slows down — the New Jersey riders, the business travelers, the tourists. How many stories have you read recently about the mentally ill pushing people onto subway tracks?

Democrats have apparently decided that tonight is a good night for riots in Newark. That's the only conclusion one can reach after Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announced that Newark police would no longer be providing security for the Delaney Hall ICE facility, saying it was not their responsibility to maintain order on city property outside the facility. He believes that private security should do the job. I'm not kidding. That is what he said. Baraka said that as increased tensions led to "unnecessary confrontation" with state troopers, the city stepped in and successfully brought calm “without the use of force, tear gas or aggressive policing."

First he outlined the themes behind the $115 million creation and the answers it (possibly) posed to questions of life, faith and mortality.

Election Day returns indicated that Spencer Pratt had easily secured the second position in the Los Angeles Mayor race, and would face incumbent Karen Bass in the general election. But ballots have continued to come in and be counted, and a remarkable number of those ballots have been for the initial third-place candidate, Nithya Raman. So it looks like the runoff election will be between two far-left candidates, and Los Angeles will continue to go downhill. Conservatives generally assume that the fix was in, and Raman’s renaissance is due wholly or in part to voter fraud. Are they right?
