Democrats have apparently decided that tonight is a good night for riots in Newark.
That's the only conclusion one can reach after Newark Mayor Ras Baraka announced that Newark police would no longer be providing security for the Delaney Hall ICE facility, saying it was not their responsibility to maintain order on city property outside the facility. He believes that private security should do the job.
I'm not kidding. That is what he said.
Baraka said that as increased tensions led to "unnecessary confrontation" with state troopers, the city stepped in and successfully brought calm “without the use of force, tear gas or aggressive policing."

As Americans paying attention—that would include American Thinker readers—know, the media has cherished narratives it defends with mama bear fierceness. Among those narratives is the existence of wide-spread islamophobia. When Islamists attack Jews and others on college campuses, the media wails about the dangers of islamophobia. And when people with Muslim names are attacked, the same wailing rises to mosque tops. Such a horrific hate crime recently took place in Minneapolis, where a Muslim was murdered—oh, the humanity!--[snip] surely a white guy and probably a Jew!—killing an innocent Muslim, and on a Muslim holy day to boot!

Vandals sabotaged generators at an event for President Trump’s Freedom 250 event, according to a spokeswoman — and fuel leached into underground water tanks, contaminating them.
A generator fuel line set up for temporary lights for a May 17 event was was cut, causing it to seep into underground cisterns that collect rainwater under the Washington, DC, landmark, Freedom 250 spokeswoman Rachel Reisner told NBC News.
“Following the Freedom 250 team’s installation of temporary lighting on the National Mall, our equipment has been repeatedly targeted by vandals. The recent fuel leak was the direct result of that tampering,” she said.

Who could have guessed that yet another candidate that Zohran Mamdani endorsed—this time in a Congressional primary to take out a prominent New York Congressman who is the leader of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus—is a communist?
Not me. PolitiFact assured me in a fact-check that Mamdani, despite all his statements and social media posts, is not a communist because his campaign website failed to use that word! [snip]
She is, unsurprisingly, a far-leftist who works for the public defender's office and is steeped in all the trendy DSA/Communist ideology of defunding the police, seizing private property, and, of course, wiping Israel off the map.

The devastated daughter of the Atlanta train passenger viciously slaughtered by an alleged homeless maniac in a random attack ripped local officials Monday for opening the transit system to free riders — and then failing to properly police its stations.
Margaret Swan, a 66-year-old great-grandmother, had her throat slashed and then was stabbed 18 to 20 times on the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority by the knife-wielding madman in an unprovoked attack Saturday morning, cops said.
Shanae Sams, Swan’s daughter, told The Post that glaring security gaps, lax policing and a temporary free-fare policy on MARTA paved the way for the heinous daylight killing.

As Los Angeles voters prepare to head to the polls next week, reality TV star and online influencer-turned-mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt has gained surprising momentum in the race for mayor. He's racked up endorsements from fellow reality stars as well as famous actors, musicians and media personalities.
Despite a growing list of high-profile supporters, Pratt said in an interview on "Gutfeld!" on Thursday that celebrity endorsements are not a priority for his campaign. "I actually don't want celebrities to come out and endorse me," he said, adding the only endorsements he wants are from "the moms and the animal lovers in L.A."

Ho hum. Another public school staffer embezzling. Maybe she'll run for mayor some day.
