The cause is self-evident: left-wing policies
In a state that hasn’t elected a Republican governor in nearly two decades and where Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly two to one in registered voters, Tuesday night belonged to two conservative political outsiders who based their campaigns on a simple message: Californians deserve better.
Former Fox News host Steve Hilton and reality television veteran Spencer Pratt arrived at their respective races with thinner war chests than their establishment rivals, no prior experience in elected office, and campaigns built less on policy infrastructure than on raw charisma, populist messaging, and an uncomplicated argument: that California leaders had failed, and that change – dramatic, disruptive change – was long overdue.
“It’s a Jackie Robinson moment.” That declaration by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries struck a curious chord because Jeffries was calling for Black athletes to boycott SEC conference teams to protest not the existence but the elimination of racial discrimination.
Jeffries was upset that the court had ended racial gerrymandering designed to guarantee the election of non-white (and largely Democratic) House members. It was as if Jackie Robinson were to join a protest calling for the return of race-based discrimination in baseball.
The Supreme Court’s decision in Louisiana v. Callais, barring racial gerrymandering, has many on the left feigning vapors, despite the predictions of many of us that this result was likely.
While figures such as Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) declared that the court itself has been “gerrymandered” to rig the upcoming elections, this decision is actually the culmination of decades of jurisprudence by various justices — particularly Chief Justice John Roberts.

The Rutherford County Library Board in Tennessee fired its top librarian for refusing to move LBGTQ books out of the children’s section.
The board voted 8-3 Monday to fire library system director Luanne James after she said she would not move more than 100 LGBTQ books from the children to the adult’s section, The Associated Press reported. The board voted earlier this month to move the books, saying they cause “gender confusion” for young children, especially those going through puberty.
“Follow the law,” a Rutherford County school board member said when speaking in favor of moving the books “Protect the children. Hold the line.”

This is the first time the House has voted to stop Trump’s military action in Iran.
Four Republicans voted with the Democrats: Thomas Massie, Brian Fitzpatrick, Tom Barrett and Warren Davidson.
The resolution is likely dead on arrival in the Senate. If it passes the Senate, Trump will veto the resolution.

Americans should expect, at a minimum, to have elections that are free and fair, and results that are delivered promptly. But California is taking its laid-back reputation too far, failing to deliver its election results in a timely manner and creating the perception that they are neither free nor fair.
Slothful election results have plagued California for years since it made wholesale changes to its election system in 2016. It has mass mail-in ballots that can be counted post-election and allows for an extremely slow pace of counting.
Proponents of the system say this makes their elections more “secure” and accessible.
