Spencer Pratt Breaks Bread With Residents

Because of his viral candidacy, Spencer Pratt did a national media tour where he appeared on Fox News, ABC, NBC, and other legacy outlets, but then he came right back to Los Angeles to continue his campaign in the communities around the city. Unlike Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who are doing pre-programmed events online, or live events with cultivated crowds, Spencer Pratt is going where most politicians don't even bother to go anymore: to the 'hood. On Saturday, Pratt attended a barbecue at Jim Gilliam Recreational Center in the heart of what residents call "The Jungles." The area, which was featured prominently

I think he's got a good shot. PDJT was able to flip Hipanic & Black votes in '24, Pratt can do it in LA. The dem politicians have ignored those people for so long, they have to be sick of it & would like to have a person who will fill potholes, clean up parks, & streets, etc. If he can make a mini-movement there, maybe LA & Cali can come back from the brink.

I’m hopeful but not optimistic. Saw a video interview of a typical low-info LA voter, she didn’t even know Pratt got burned out in the Palisades fire. Said he’s running just for attention. Having lived in OC ( in LA’s media shadow) before escaping to Idaho, it’s not surprising.

The voters will vote for him when they have had enough misery. Until then, they will simply pull the lever marked with a D.

Can't say Pratt didn't show up. He got immediate respect for being willing to go into the hood and just talk/listen. Personally, I think he has a solid shot at winning, provided he can beat the cheat.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Tuesday asking AI companies to let the federal government take a look at their most powerful models before releasing them to the public. No mandatory reviews. No licensing. No federal approval process. Just a request, with a 30-day window to act on it. The order puts America's most advanced AI to work defending power grids, hospitals, and government networks before China or criminal actors find the holes first. Trump wrote in the order that America leads the world in AI because his administration cut the regulatory dead weight the Biden White House piled onto developers and researchers.

One of the few useful points from the DNC's aborted "autopsy," released two weeks ago by Ken Martin while renouncing it at the same time, focused on the Democrats' problems with men. Specifically – or as specifically as the report managed to get – the analysis pointed to Democrats' embrace of identity politics as particularly alienating to male voters, even those otherwise in minority demos: Male voters require direct engagement. The gender gap can be narrowed. Deploy male messengers, address economic concerns, and don't assume identity politics will hold male voters of color. There's a reason for that alienation,

It is now so common for leftists, indeed most Democrats, to call Trump supporters Nazis that it's easy to shrug and move on. Unfortunately, as much as we would like to think it is a mere rhetorical flourish, it is not one at all. If you think that Democrats aren't serious when they propose what sound like insane measures, just remember what they did during COVID, what they are doing with alphabet ideology (literally sterilizing and mutilating kids and putting sex offenders into girls' locker rooms), and what they did to President Trump before his reelection. They are quite serious about all the insane things they talk about

Texas Democrat James Talarico is running for the Senate, and his campaign thought it had a clever play. Reveal the girlfriend, and treat it like a power move against those questioning his sexuality. Instead, the move has sparked new questions that his campaign needs to answer, but so far won’t. Last week, perhaps in response to Republicans mocking him as “Low-T Talarico,” his campaign cleverly revealed that he does, in fact, have a girlfriend, and she isn’t some mystery girl who lives in Niagara Falls, either. Her name is Brianna Manard, and she’s a radical left-wing lobbyist. But that’s not the whole story.

There must be something about the month of May for the radical "protesters" at Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, because May 2026 has been a lot like May 2025 in terms of the wild scenes that have unfolded there over the past two weeks. RedState has extensively covered the clashes that the anti-ICE demonstrators have instigated with immigration enforcement agents, with one situation involving a violent agitator who allegedly kicked and bit two agents. New Jersey resident Brendan John Geier, 26, has been arrested in that case. Another disturbing incident involved an agitator caught on tape threatening to kill an ICE agent and their family. Bill has written here and here about Henry Nowak, the 18 year old Briton who was stabbed to death by Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh. The perpetrator, having stabbed Nowak, collaborated with family members to put out the story that Nowak was a “racist,” while his mother hid the murder weapon. This is the call that Digwa’s brother made to report the crime. The suggestion that the victim was a “racist” was all that London Southampton police needed to hear: Police officers arrived on scene. Henry Nowak, dying from stab wounds, could not respond coherently to their questions, although he did say that he couldn’t breathe.

Kind of a one-two punch out of ExxonMobil's senior vice president, Neil Chapman, today. On one hand, a not-so-surprising announcement tying up the loose ends of Exxon's corporate existence. The company, which has long been legally homeported in increasingly business-unfriendly New Jersey, would move that as well, thanks to stockholders giving executives the thumbs-up. ...Chapman delivered his message on the same day that Exxon shareholders approved a plan to move the company's legal home from New Jersey to Texas. Mayor Karen Bass is being slammed as un-American for a last-minute decision to pull funding for a neighborhood group who wanted to close their main street for a Fourth of July Parade marking America’s 250th birthday. The Sunland-Tujunga Fourth of July Parade, the longest-running Independence Day parade in the San Fernando Valley, has been canceled after organizers say the city withdrew support and left them facing at least $20,000 in traffic control and street closure costs. “The mayor’s office jerked us around for so long,” said Lydia Grant, president of the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council. “It’s devastating. The United States has secured long-term access to one of the world's largest untapped rare earth deposits, a move that could reduce its future dependence on mineral-rich African nations as Washington races to build a critical minerals supply chain independent of China. REalloys, a Florida-based rare earth materials company, has signed a 15-year offtake agreement with Critical Metals Corp. covering 15% of Phase 1 production from the Tanbreez project in southern Greenland. The deposit is among the world's largest known sources of heavy rare earth elements, including dysprosium and terbium, two minerals essential for fighter jets, missile systems, radar platforms, drones and other advanced defence technologies.
