It’s been a rocky spring for President Donald Trump, at least as far as his favorability ratings go among voters. That’s the bad news. But there’s also good news for Trump: His ratings showed little change in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll, as he moves toward a deal with Iran that will reopen the Mideast’s oil spigots. The national online I&I/TIPP Poll each month asks voters to assess presidential performance. June’s poll was taken from May 26 through May 28, and included a sample of 1,589 adults, with a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points. The first question:

Will the American people throw away 250 years of hard earned liberty because the price of gas is dollar a gallon more than they would like? That is exactly the question that must be effectively posed in front of the voters. Besides Democrats harping on affordability is like arsonists pushing fire safety. But it must be communicated.

Hello! Trump is not on the ballot. I see the midterms as a referendum on the Democrat and Republican parties. Lots of stats, most not useful. For people who are unhappy with the economy and inflation, which party gets most of the blame and which party do people think can fix things? Personally, I think both are 50/50. Bet many people think both parties are to blame and neither will fix anything. Let's face it, our political class would rather use the economy and inflation as political issues rather than fix anything. Also, both parties and their big supporters are too busy lining their pockets at the expense of everything else. I would say vote them all out, but there are too many crackpots on the ballots. Btw, the best news out of Texas is Cornyn is gone.

Is the memory of the American people so short that they would believe that the same party that let in 18 to 20 million illegals, left 84 billion dollars of taxpayer paid military equipment in Afghanistan, then told the military to high tail it out of Afghanistan like their butts were on fire and letting 13 soldiers to be killed while doing it, are going be voted back into office? Have they forgotten eight dollars for a dozen eggs? How about sky high interest rates? Gas prices too high? How high do you think they would be if Biteme hadn't drained the strategic oil reserves to keep gas prices artificially low. All the while Iran had free rein of the middle east with the billions the demosluts gave back to Iran. Don't forget the Covid scam implemented on the American people, the school children, and American businesses under the demosluts. All this crap and that's just scratching the surface of what the demosluts caused. Sure, 4.50 for a gallon for gas sucks, but how much better off are people and this country since Trump and the Republicans have taken over.

This is what Jessica Tarkovsky has been waiting for. How long will it take for her to go on a rant today? Anyway, how did we ever survive the Biden economy with 20% inflation? We didn’t hear squat a bout gas prices then, at least nowhere near what we do today. It’s the media who has pushed this into a big deal—anything to hurt Trump! I guess everyone wants Trump to quit now, let Iran have the bomb and we go back to cheap gas and be happy. Thank the Lord that Trump isn’t a pussy.

Midterm Voters: Are You Better Off Than

This isn’t normally the time when voters are asked whether they are better off than they were four years ago. That’s the question that tends to come around in presidential election years. But as the midterms approach, it’s what everyone should ask themselves as they decide who controls Congress for the next two years. Because the answer is obvious. Let’s turn the dial back to June 2022. Joe Biden had been occupying the White House for a year and a half. Democrats controlled Congress, handing him his $2 trillion “Build Back Better” spending extravaganza. The economy had more than recovered the ground

Gasoline prices have soared to their highest levels since 2022’s pandemic inflation sent prices to record highs across the nation. Why are prices so high now? If you ask average Americans, they overwhelmingly choose one answer: The U.S. war with Iran, which has sent crude oil prices soaring above $100 a barrel. As the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows, Americans are feeling the pinch from higher energy costs. With prices now at a national average of $4.53 a gallon (still below the all-time high of $5 a gallon in June 2022), the cost of gasoline again has seized Americans’ attention.

Democrats were quick to make hay of President Donald Trump’s remark that the high price of gasoline “is peanuts.” But what if he’s right? What if today’s prices are lower than they were, say, when we had a peanut farmer as president? Or many times since then? Democrats called Trump “out of touch” with everyday Americans. “’Peanuts’ isn’t how my constituents would describe the spiking gas prices that make everyday life more expensive,” said New Hampshire Sen. Jeanne Shaheen. “POTUS isn’t paying for this war. Middle-class Americans are, and he couldn’t care less.”

You’d think that the Iran war would have been good news for EV sales, given the boost in gasoline prices and general uncertainty it sparked. Instead, it might someday mark the beginning of the end of the left’s EV dreams. New EV sales in April – the second full month of the war – were down 6.2% compared with March, and down a whopping 23% from the year before, according to Cox Automotive. True, overall car sales were down last month, but just by 5.4% year over year, and 1.9% from March. In other words, people were increasingly turning to gasoline-powered cars when they bought in April.

The cost of higher education has become a major issue for many, if not most, American parents and even grandparents.
