Senator Bernie Sanders, the socialist from Vermont who with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Mayor Zohran Mamdani is an agenda-setter on the activist left wing of the Democratic Party, is proposing that the U.S. government seize 50 percent ownership of large artificial intelligence companies.
"I will soon be introducing the American A.I. Sovereign Wealth Fund Act. This legislation would give the public a direct ownership stake in the largest A.I. companies in our country," Sanders announced in a New York Times opinion article published online. "It would create a sovereign wealth fund through a one-time 50 percent tax — not on the profits

"60 Minutes" correspondent Scott Pelley had a heated confrontation with his new boss on Monday, scolding CBS News for "murdering" the iconic program.
Last week, CBS News fired "60 Minutes" correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega, along with the program’s executive producer Tanya Simon and other behind-the-scenes staffers. Nick Bilton, a documentary filmmaker and a former New York Times columnist, was selected by the network's polarizing editor-in-chief Bari Weiss to serve as the new EP.
Bilton met with the remaining staff on Monday in a pre-planned meeting to discuss the show’s future, but Pelley used the gathering to unload on Weiss after Bilton said Weiss loved "60 Minutes,"

Tuesday on MS NOW’s “Morning Joe,” former first lady Jill Biden said she believed her husband, former President Joe Biden, would have beaten Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
Biden said, “I mean, Joe had to decide whether to run again. But like you said, you know, we did well, the Democrats did well in the midterms, and in 2023, the Democratic Party was totally behind Joe, and people, everywhere I went, ‘Joe’s got to do it again. He’s got to run. He’s got to run. And he was like, ‘Well, I don’t know’ – you know – ‘Am I too old?’ I mean, it was the age question

The Trump administration is giving the American people what they want in the lead-up to the big 250th birthday celebration and is ignoring pride month — a once unruly, secular celebration beloved by the Biden administration and radical left.
Americans came to a breaking point during the Biden administration — specifically, in the summer of 2023, when the Biden administration went all in on “pride” month and Americans were horrified to see a topless transgender activist at the White House pride event, while corporate queering ran amok. The Biden administration made sure to let everyone know that it valued “pride” and did so every year,

Former New York Times reporter Paul Krugman, who worked for the outlet for more than two decades, is clearly grasping for relevance in his retirement and he's doing so by calling for violence against Trump supporters.
The guy who once said the Internet's impact on the economy would be no different than the fax machine thinks the country needs a 'thorough purging' and he's targeting MAGA as the group that needs to go. [Tweet, video]
"We need to de-fang Trump as much as possible and make sure that neither he nor anybody who follows in his footsteps has power after the next two elections," Krugman said.

Mayor Karen Bass is being slammed as un-American for a last-minute decision to pull funding for a neighborhood group who wanted to close their main street for a Fourth of July Parade marking America’s 250th birthday.
The Sunland-Tujunga Fourth of July Parade, the longest-running Independence Day parade in the San Fernando Valley, has been canceled after organizers say the city withdrew support and left them facing at least $20,000 in traffic control and street closure costs. “The mayor’s office jerked us around for so long,” said Lydia Grant, president of the Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council. “It’s devastating. We’ve been doing this parade for over 50 years.”

It’s been a rocky spring for President Donald Trump, at least as far as his favorability ratings go among voters. That’s the bad news. But there’s also good news for Trump: His ratings showed little change in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll, as he moves toward a deal with Iran that will reopen the Mideast’s oil spigots.
The national online I&I/TIPP Poll each month asks voters to assess presidential performance. June’s poll was taken from May 26 through May 28, and included a sample of 1,589 adults, with a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points.

Democratic lawmakers complained in late May about employers not providing paid leave for painful menstruation cycles, calling it “economic violence.” ... The Reproductive Healthcare Leave Act (H.R. 8158) — the flagship bill — would provide up to 12 days of paid leave per year for reproductive health needs, including severe menstrual pain, abortions, menopause symptoms, miscarriages, biopsies, vasectomies and more. ... Ansari ... ties the bill to her own period pain, telling TIME ... that she once woke upon the floor of her “local bodega, drenched in sweat, being dragged into an ambulance” and said she has days every month when she feels “barbed wire” inside of her.

The Bidens want to restore Joe Biden’s legacy after his disastrous presidency and his Hindenburg-style campaign collapse, and phase one is Jill Biden’s forthcoming memoir. The next step will be Joe Biden’s inevitable presidential memoir, which is sure to have quite a few doozies in it, but for now, we have Jill’s, and if she thought her book would “set the record straight” and the Democrat Party would be thrilled, well, that’s not what’s happening at all. Instead, it's setting the Democrat Party on fire — and the people most enraged are the ones who spent years covering for Joe Biden.
According to Axios, several former Biden aides, including

The United States has secured long-term access to one of the world's largest untapped rare earth deposits, a move that could reduce its future dependence on mineral-rich African nations as Washington races to build a critical minerals supply chain independent of China. REalloys, a Florida-based rare earth materials company, has signed a 15-year offtake agreement with Critical Metals Corp. covering 15% of Phase 1 production from the Tanbreez project in southern Greenland.
The deposit is among the world's largest known sources of heavy rare earth elements, including dysprosium and terbium, two minerals essential for fighter jets, missile systems, radar platforms, drones and other advanced defence technologies.
