Republican Representative Thomas Massie signaled Sunday that his national political career may extend well beyond his upcoming departure from Congress, refusing to rule out a potential 2028 presidential bid following his recent primary defeat. Speaking on NBC News’ Meet the Press, the libertarian-leaning lawmaker declined to commit to specific future plans but left the door open to a White House run when pressed about speculation among his supporters. “I will not rule out anything, and right now I’m not going to rule in anything,” Massie told moderator Kristen Welker, adding that he plans to take time before deciding his next

In the most stunning revelation since it was confirmed Liberace liked the dudes, Bill Kristol — neocon, publisher, and one-time Republican operative extraordinaire — has announced he’s now a Democrat.
Kristol is best known both for his punditry in print and on various cable news hits, as well as publishing The Weekly Standard, long known as one of the pillars of the conservative establishment.
However, while the conservative establishment generally didn’t like Donald Trump as he became a serious candidate during the 2016 cycle, Kristol had an anaphylactic reaction to suddenly being displaced by the populist rabble. Fast-forward 10 years and the professional NeverTrumper has become yet another professional mouthpiece

A crazed gunman who believed he was Jesus Christ pulled out a revolver and opened fire outside the White House Saturday night, before he was quickly taken down by a barrage of shots from the Secret Service, sources said.
Nasire Best, 21, fired at a checkpoint at about 6:10 p.m. after being seen pacing in a strange manner up and down 17th St. Northwest, sources told The Post. He only got off a few shots before he was shot and killed in a hail of bullets from federal officers.
At least one bystander was hit and seriously wounded in the fusillade, the sources said.

It’s no secret that some humanoid robotics companies are training their machines for work on factory floors, while others are positioning their bots to enter homes in the coming years.
One of the first real signs of humanoids entering homes today is a new cleaning service in San Francisco that uses what appear to be Unitree humanoid robots trained to clean everything from floors and countertops to stovetops, mirrors, and nearly any surface in the house. Called “Gatsby,” the new service deploys humanoid robots to homes for a flat service charge of $150. “We just made U.S. history. Today, Gatsby ran the first-ever consumer cleaning by a humanoid robot

Somewhere in Tallahassee, Ron DeSantis is probably grinning ear to ear as Florida Democrats descend into yet another round of intraparty warfare.
The fireworks are happening in the Sunshine State’s 20th Congressional District, and it is all thanks to none other than Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former Democrat National Committee chair who managed to make nearly everyone angry, including her own party’s activists. Florida Republicans drew a new congressional map earlier this year under DeSantis’s leadership, leaving most Democrats fuming while conservatives celebrated a fairer representation of the state’s red shift.
The GOP already controls twenty of the twenty eight congressional seats, but the updated map could hand them several more.

Iran has reportedly agreed to give up its stockpile of enriched uranium as part of the deal announced by President Trump Saturday.
Tehran has agreed to a statement pledging to relinquish its cache of highly enriched uranium — believed to be enough to build 11 nuclear bombs — the New York Times reported, citing two American officials. The disposal of the highly enriched uranium, which Trump refers to as “nuclear dust” was a major sticking point in negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic. While Iran fought to address the status of its nuclear stockpile after an agreement to end the war had been reached,

A video began circulating Thursday of a guest speaker at the Islamic Center of Passaic County in Paterson, New Jersey (ICPC-Paterson), Osama Abu Irshaid of American Muslims for Palestine, that every American, including President Donald Trump, should watch, watch again, and study. Its implications for the American political scene are massive, but few, if any, will take heed of them.
The video comes from a Jan. 16, 2026 event at ICPC-Paterson, “The Night Journey & Cultivating Hope,” a commemoration of the Islamic legend of Muhammad being carried to Jerusalem on a winged white horse with a human head, which constitutes the entirety of the Islamic claim to Jerusalem

Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is touting his dreams for universal child care and announcing programs for children as young as 2 years old.
I want to also shout outs to something that we did a few days earlier, which is make an announcement that we are extending 100,000 offers of pre-k and 3k to New Yorkers across the five boroughs,” Mamdani said. This was part of our announcement that we were adding 2,000 new 3k seats. Now, as part of these invitations that we are sending out to children across the city to be a part of this program to their parents,

Multiple reports have indicated that U.S. negotiators believe that Iran has committed to giving up its nuclear ambitions and its highly enriched uranium as a part of a broader peace deal with President Donald Trump.
On Saturday afternoon, President Trump announced that an “agreement has been largely negotiated” between Washington and Tehran. However, Mr Trump said that the final details of the deal were still being discussed and would not be made public at the time.
According to a report from the New York Times, citing “two U.S. officials”, the Islamist regime in Iran verbally agreed to U.S. negotiators that it would give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

John F. Kennedy wrote his Pulitzer Prize–winning tome "Profiles in Courage" in 1956, wherein he discussed eight U.S. senators who took brave stands despite political risks. They believed it was the right thing to do.
If the book is ever updated, it's unlikely former President Joe Biden would be included. He recently told his former chief of staff, Ron Klain, that he has made his decision on endorsing a candidate in one of the most pivotal election battles in the nation — the gubernatorial race in the union’s most populous state, California.
His answer? Nobody.
This was our commander-in-chief barely 16 months ago, yet now he doesn’t have the — cough — guts

BrianStelter just posted an amazing photograph of The Late Show’s staff, showing that there were roughly 140-160 people on the Colbert payroll. (I didn’t count heads; that’s ChatGPT’s estimate.) Aside from the fact that this is an amazingly large number for a show where a guy cracks a few (bad) jokes, talks to some celebrity guests, and loses CBS $40 million a year, there’s something striking about the photo: Brian Stelter is thrilled, for reasons that are unclear, but I find it fascinating. That’s because this bastion of Democrat politics, where one would expect to find a huge quota of
