Slap-re bleu! French President Emmanuel Macron was slapped by his wife during a foreign trip last year after she found a steamy message from a younger actress on his phone, according to sensational claims in a new book. Brigitte Macron’s viral attack on her husband — which was caught on cameras — was a result of the steamy messages allegedly sent between her former student, 48, and Iranian-born Golshifteh Farahani, 42, journalist Florian Tardif claimed in an interview with RTL France. “I find you very pretty,” President Macron told Farahani, in one of the messages, according to Tardif, whose book, “An (Almost) Perfect Couple,” was published Wednesday.

Former Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has unveiled a controversial new government initiative aimed at addressing issues in the city. The proposal would provide free dental care to methamphetamine users, funded by taxpayers. During a recent event, Bass shared her latest thoughts on how to tackle the city’s challenges, raising eyebrows as she discussed her approach. “How many people have you met who are homeless and don’t have any teeth?” she questioned. “Their teeth are gone because of meth. It’s hard to succeed without teeth. So, we need to offer comprehensive healthcare for these individuals.”

We are still working to get an answer about a trial date - but here’s what we know so far. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson said his office will “aggressively seek to retry Alex Murdaugh for the murders of Maggie and Paul as soon as possible.” Murdaugh’s first trial lasted a historic six weeks, making it one of the longest in South Carolina history.

Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary resigned Tuesday after a 13-month tenure that included criticism from various groups, including anti-abortionists and pharmaceutical companies, and culminated with weeks of conflict with the Trump Administration. For Makary, the final straw was the FDA's approval last week of fruit-flavored e-cigarettes, a move that he opposed. The New York Times reported that Makary told several confidants that his conscience would not allow him to approve the vapes due to their appeal among young people. (snip)The FDA is charged with ensuring the safety of food, medication and medical devices, as well as with regulating tobacco and veterinary products.

The French citizens are among more than 90 tourists to be ferried home from the Dutch vessel on Sunday, which anchored off the Canary Islands before dawn.

The South Carolina House voted last night to open the door for redistricting in a special session a week from now. The measure still has to pass the South Carolina Senate; however, with the Indiana outcome at the forefront of their political future, the redistricting is more than likely. As a consequence, South Carolina Democrat James Clyburn is potentially going to lose his gerrymandered seat in congress. Given Clyburn’s stature as one of the key architects of the DNC ballot harvesting and election counting fraud via the AME Church network, Democrats are apoplectic.

The Virginia Supreme Court has struck down a congressional redistricting map approved by voters in a referendum last month, ruling that the Democratic-controlled Legislature failed to follow constitutional procedures when advancing the measure. The proposed map would likely have favored Democrats, giving them four additional congressional seats and creating a projected 10-to-1 advantage over Republicans in the state’s U.S. House delegation. The decision could strengthen Republican efforts to maintain control of the U.S. House of Representatives ahead of the midterm elections.

Now, thanks to a Supreme Court redistricting ruling that’s expected to dramatically diminish Black representation on Capitol Hill, the CBC is fighting a five-alarm fire that could devastate its membership. WASHINGTON — Former Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas lamented the delay in immigration enforcement actions until the final year of President Biden’s term — despite having testified to Congress several times while in office that the US border was “secure.” In an appearance Tuesday at Politico’s Security Summit, Mayorkas discussed aspects of the “broken” immigration system in America, acknowledging that a “low bar” for those expressing “credible fear of persecution” allowed too many migrants into the country during the Biden administration. More than 8 million entered by the start of the 46th president’s final year in office — before Biden moved to shut down the border and crack down on illegal crossings

This was short of the necessary two-thirds threshold, with five Republican senators defecting.

Not long ago, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul told New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to handle his own mess. Now she's writing him a $4 billion check to bail him out. Mamdani had barely settled into Gracie Mansion before he discovered what socialists always find out: Eventually, you run out of other people's money. His grand campaign promises — you know: free this, universal that — ran headlong into the reality that New York City couldn’t afford all the things Mamdani had campaigned on. So, Mamdani went looking to Albany for a bailout. And, originally, Hochul said no. "The mayor and City Council need to work together, identify savings,
