NEW YORK — President Donald Trump won’t have to pay an $83 million defamation award to a longtime advice columnist until the U.S. Supreme Court gets a chance to review the case or reject an appeal, according to a court entry Tuesday. (Snip) Smith said last week there was a “fair prospect” that the Supreme Court will find in favor of Trump, who has called Carroll’s claims first made publicly in 2019 that she was sexually attacked by Trump in a Manhattan luxury department store dressing room in spring 1996 a “made up scam.” The $83 million award to Carroll

She said she was in a dress shop, on the second floor, trying on dresses. Supposedly Trump came in, went to the second floor, found her, raped her, then left. Oddly, no one else saw him. Even odder, she can remember the dress she was trying on, the month and year, but the actual date escapes her. Probably because he could prove where he really was. And of course there was zero evidence.. It would be nice if she had to pay Trumps legal bills but we know that won't happen.

Poster #6, supposedly the dress she was trying on wasn't even made yet according to the manufacturer for a few years after she says the attack happened. Poster #2, this is from Google, 'the New York legislature passed the Adult Survivors Act (ASA), in May 2022, which created a one-year window for victims of sexual assault to sue abusers regardless of when the incident occurred, even if the statute of limitations had expired. E. Jean Carroll used this law to sue Donald Trump in 2022 for a 1996 accusation. E. Jean Carroll filed her lawsuit against Donald Trump hours after the law took effect.'

As I recall, she couldn't even remember what year it happened. Remembering a date would have been dangerous to her case, since Trump would at the least have plane logs, and probably calendar/diary entries, showing he was out of state a large number of days each year. Of course, when crazy skank (the New York legal system) meets crazy skank (e jean "cummings"), facts, laws, and principles are not to get in the way.
