United States President Donald Trump announced that Washington's effort to guide ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the so-called "Project Freedom," will be "paused for a short period of time."
Citing a request made by Pakistan and "other countries," as well as "Great Progress" with Iranian representatives, Trump said the halt will serve "to see whether or not the Agreement can be finalized and signed."
Washington's blockade of Iranian ports, however, "will remain in full force and effect," the US president noted in his post on Truth Social.

How can they be trusted? It is merely a game to them. Nothing but angst on our part will come of this pause.

As long as the ideological idiot mullets and the IRGC thugs are in charge in Iran, nothing will change.
President Trump could unleash the Israelis to eliminate the hard-liners, and then MAYBE there will be someone in charge who will actually TRY to work something out. Even if this happens, our people should do as President Trump's negotiator Steve Witkoff said:
"Don't Trust. Verify."
President Trump and Mr. Witkoff know the evil, false nature of the people they are dealing with, and will treat them accordingly.

Kowtowing to Pakistan is hardly a formula for success.....neither is preventing Iran's collapse--finish this thing already and let the Crown Prince establish an interim government.

The Iranians have been lying, promising and playing head games for decades. Have they ever kept their word?

I helped PDT get elected to the Presidency all three times he attempted it, and am a solid MAGA republican.
My only issue with PDT is the way he is letting the radical Islamic leadership in Iran toy with him.
These vermin need to be taken out. Period. There will be no real progress in Iran unless a pro-USA and pro PEACE leadership is in place in that country, and any condition that fails to meet this criteria will tarnish any false claims of victory by President Trump.

I voted for Trump three times, but I'm not at all happy with his handling of Iran. It seems like, above all else, he has to show he is the best negotiator and deal maker of all time (in his mind), whatever the cost of the deal.
The deal that is on the table looks more like a deal that Obama would offer the Iranians.
. It leaves the Regime in power.
. It does not require all aspects of their nuclear program to be gone for good - only a moratorium.
. It does not allow impromptu inspections.
. It ends long standing economic sanctions.
. It allows them to transport and sell their oil.
. It protects Iran from Israel.
Can someone tell me what the hell we get out of this, other than a black eye?
I'm done with Trump. His ego is too big to be a good and trusted leader.

Trump's "war" with Iran is taking the same trajectory as his insistence last year on standing down Israel's military, preventing a total Israeli victory against the Iranian-armed, funded, and commanded (Iranian proxy) Hamas terrorists, while trusting Islamic Qatar to fabricate a 'negotiated "peace," one that leaves the terrorists in power in their very real, existential war against Hamas, and now Hezbollah. All the while, the price for gas and diesel, thus most all consumable goods delivered to stores and/or people's front porches, continues to creep ever-upward, even within my major oil producing state and county. If all you have read in the last year were just the social media posts of the president, in his own words, finding a consistent, America-First policy amidst the president's rhetoric isn't easy. If you also read conservative columnists on these pages, then you see the backdrop of the mass Islamization and communism taking hold within our homeland, which includes a handful of Blue states teetering on open rebellion against our system of government.

What I don’t understand about the Trump agenda in his dealings with Iran is to invite an unlimited number of foreign entities to send their oil tankers to US Ports to purchase and load up with oil refined in the USA, at the time that fuel prices for Americans continue to surge upward? You would think that Trump would be demanding that as much oil as possible must be made available to American consumers to lower their fuel costs?
