The Democrats are certainly guilty of leading parts of the country down a socialist, “progressive” path that has left many of our cities in ruins. They divide the country with their polarizing, violent rhetoric, and they regularly spit on patriots who think it’s OK to celebrate our country. But they have long had a partner, one that has caused as much if not more damage than they have: the mainstream media, or whatever name you want to call the collection of leftist legacy outlets that for many years dominated the news landscape. (Thanks to conservative outlets like RedState, their dominance is fading,

Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson conceded this week to violating state ethics law, agreeing to accept a $4,000 fine for letting his former chief strategy officer take a taxpayer-funded flight with him last year.
The order Ferguson signed earlier this week could resolve a complaint the state Executive Ethics Board received last July, alleging that the governor misused state resources and gave the former advisor, Mike Webb, special privileges.
The board will consider approving the agreement during a meeting on May 8.
If approved, Ferguson will face a $4,000 fine, with half suspended if he pays $2,000 within 45 days—

For decades, Tehran has delayed, promised, denied, escalated, and recalibrated — all while rebuilding its capabilities... and preserving the machinery of regime survival.
The Iranian regime is not sustained by ideology alone. It is sustained by money, contracts, ports, banks, smugglers, foundations, front companies, privileged merchants, terrorist proxies, and commercial collaborators. Washington... must target the networks that feed it.
The regime does not move money through uniforms and official titles. It moves money through family members, front companies, exchange houses, shipping firms, insurance brokers, commodity traders, gold dealers, charities, banks, and offshore accounts. Every one of these channels must be mapped, exposed, and disrupted.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has created a special team of criminal investigators to root out immigration fraud, equipping newly designated special agents with expanded law enforcement powers to investigate, arrest and prosecute violators and even denaturalize cheaters.
"We're going to get to a place where people are going to know that if they file, and they're going to file something fraudulently, or they're not giving us their full story, we're going to find that," United States Customs and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Joseph Edlow told Just The News.

What would be unpardonable is if US President Donald J. Trump simply replaced a brutal Islamic dictatorship with an equally brutal non-Islamic dictatorship -- as seen in other adversaries of the West such as Russia, China, and North Korea.
At the height of the violence in mid-January, Trump memorably told the Iranian protesters that "HELP IS ON ITS WAY", while calling on the anti-regime activists to "seize control of your destiny."
Iran is still drawing out negotiations as it reconstructs its nuclear and missile sites.
Meanwhile, concerns are growing that Trump is losing interest in the plight of ordinary Iranians. He has recently been stating that he no longer regards regime—

MILAN, Italy — While President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni may have been somewhat feuding over Trump’s criticisms of Pope Leo XIV and NATO during the Iran war, there remains deep ties between the movements that elected both of the leaders in their respective countries. Matteo Salvini, the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and leader of the Lega or League political party that rounds out the coalition that put Meloni in as Prime Minister, held a huge rally a couple weeks ago in Duomo Square here in Milan alongside other major European conservatives like Jordan Bardella from France and Geert Wilders from the Netherlands.

A senior Iranian military official warned Saturday that a “renewed conflict” with the United States is “likely” after President Donald Trump said he is “not satisfied” with Tehran’s latest proposal and signaled military options remain on the table, saying he “can’t imagine” the offer would be acceptable given Iran has “not yet paid a big enough price” for its actions over the past 47 years. Speaking to reporters before departing West Palm Beach, Florida, President Trump said he would review the proposal after being briefed only on the “concept of the deal,” noting, “They’re going to give me the exact wording now…

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is receiving backlash from GOP lawmakers for pushing former President Biden's Justice Department to block the merger of JetBlue and Spirit Airlines.
“The 14,000 employees at Spirit who’ve lost their job loss, the travelers who will now pay higher fares, and the shareholders and debt holders who have been wiped out can thank Elizabeth Warren,” Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) wrote on X on Saturday. “Electing left politicians, who have ZERO business experience, has consequences.”
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz reposted a critical Warren post and wrote, “Stunning.”
Warren defended her advocacy against the merger by blaming a federal judge for stopping it.

ormer top official in the Biden administration is questioning the decision by his Department of Justice to stop the Jet Blue and Spirit Airlines merger after Spirit announced its closure on Saturday.
Neera Tanden, the CEO of the Center for American Progress, served as U.S. Domestic Policy Council from 2023 to 2025 and senior advisor and staff secretary to former President Biden from 2021 to 2023.
"Given the news today that Spirit Airlines is shuttering and thousands of people are losing their jobs, I think we should honestly assess whether the Garland DoJ stopping the JetBlue merger with Spirit Airlines was the right call.

new report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office found that several major U.S. weapon systems are becoming significantly more expensive to operate and maintain, with some programs seeing steep cost increases and missed opportunities for savings.
In the report, the GAO found the department identified 14 weapon systems with what it classifies as “critical” operating and support cost growth out of 36 systems reviewed in fiscal years 2023 and 2024. The report defines the critical threshold as “at least a 25% increase” over recent estimates or “at least a 50% increase” over original baselines.

Fresh off the news that over 62,000 federal jobs have been eliminated or relocated out of Washington since President Donald Trump took office for his second term, another 200 jobs will be relocated from the swamp to Iowa and Georgia.
“Consolidating support operations in Iowa, strengthening scientific work in Georgia, and aligning staff with mission needs will reduce duplication and improve accountability,” Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Stephen A. Vaden said about the recent shift.
The Trump USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) is relocating roughly two-thirds of the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) National Capital Region (headquarters) workforce from the Washington, D.C. area.

The red-state counteroffensive is underway.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced Friday that he is calling a special legislative session next week to review and redraw Tennessee’s congressional districts after the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a major ruling that struck down race-driven mapmaking schemes and weakened one of the Left’s favorite redistricting weapons.
Lee said the move is necessary to ensure Tennessee’s congressional districts “accurately reflect the will of Tennessee voters” and to comply with election qualifying deadlines. The special session is expected to begin Tuesday, May 5.
