New York is set to pass its most extreme sanctuary policies yet – as Gov. Kathy Hochul and Albany Democrats hone in on a deal that could impose sweeping bans on cooperation between local law enforcement and ICE. Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx) confirmed “95%” of an anti-ICE immigration package has been agreed upon between Hochul and state legislators as part of ongoing state budget talks – including etching New York’s first statewide sanctuary law restricting how law enforcement can interact with immigration authorities.

This is getting hard to imagine. I know the Democrats think that they can turn illegal invaders into voters and some are the 'no one is illegal' fools. Well, between the coming 'Escape From New York' caused by Mamdani the crime rate will also spike. Free buses? Subways? In 6 months your life will be in mortal peril trying to ride public transportation. The stench alone will drive all but the most desperate commuters away. Not usually mentioned is tourism. It will take a couple of years but word will leak out to travelers that getting mugged or killed isn't worth trying to see a Broadway show.

The leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats who consider Third World origin poor and uneducated illegal aliens to be members of minority groups once they are in the USA, and potentially leftist Democrat supporters and voters in unlimited numbers, are passing increasing radical so-called “sanctuary city and state laws” designed to keep as many illegal aliens as possible from being identified, arrested, detained, and being deported, in accordance with the Federal immigration laws as they possibly can, until they again gain control of the Congress and the White House able to “reform” the Federal immigration laws by granting massive amnesties to the tens of millions of illegal aliens now in the USA and those who unlawfully enter the USA in the future, and transform those amnestied illegal aliens into emerging future leftist Democrat aligned constituency groups whose support and votes would keep the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats in permanent political control of the USA on into the future. That’s the long term leftist Democrat strategic political plan that would allow them to transform the current USA into some sort of future socialist utopia. What the current Federal Government should do to stop that is to file legal actions in the Federal Courts targeting every city and state that has passed so-called “sanctuary laws” to effectively shield illegal aliens from Federal law enforcement activities and operations, with the objective of having the US Supreme Court find that such “sanctuary” laws are attempts to shield illegal aliens from the Federal immigration laws by the cities and states that passed such “sanctuary” laws that are completely unconstitutional.

U.S. Constitution Article VI, Clause 2: "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding." The State of New York is on the precipice of rebellion against the United States. If New York, other states, or political subdivisions of the United States enact supremacy legislation and takes steps to implement any such legislation in violation of our Constitution, our president should act accordingly to quell such rebellion by declaring martial law and deploying federal law enforcement, supported by military force, as necessary to ensure the primacy of our Constitution and U.S. laws enacted under our Constitutional Republic. There is no "middle ground" or "third way" regarding this matter.

Is Trump Ready and Willing to Try Arming

We still don't have many details about what happened the first time the Trump administration tried to deliver small arms to resistance groups inside Iran earlier this year, other than the president's comments that the guns never got to where they were going. Still, President Trump appears to be willing to give it another go, based on remarks he made to Salem Media's Hugh Hewitt on Monday. The White House amplified those comments on Tuesday with a post on X. Those comments certainly suggest that Trump is willing to make another attempt at arming some elements of the Iranian public. The bigger question is how would we go about it?

The Senate Judiciary Committee late Monday added $1 billion to a proposed spending package for the U.S. Secret Service to help boost security to the White House ballroom. The added funds do not specifically state that it must be used on the ballroom, but it does mandate that it's used on security upgrades to the White House. The funds are part of a $72 billion budget reconciliation bill proposed by the Judiciary panel and the Senate Homeland Security Committee. The committees said the $1 billion will be for “the purposes of security adjustments and upgrades, including within the perimeter fence of the White House compound —

Assembly Bill 1608 authorizes the high-speed rail’s inspector general to keep some reports out of the public eye. The bill would also allow the inspector general to keep parts of certain reports secret if the report reveals weaknesses that put the high-speed rail project at risk. The bill passed 45 to 18 and now heads to the Senate.

As the U.S. continues to debate immigration enforcement and humanitarian protections, the Dominican Republic has quietly implemented one of the most stringent migration crackdowns in the hemisphere. The immigrants in question in the Dominican Republic are coming from Haiti, the poor French-speaking country that occupies the western third of the island of Hispaniola. The border between the two countries represents the only international land border in the Caribbean. According to World Bank data for 2024 (the latest comprehensive data available), the per capita share of the GDP in the Dominican Republic is around $10,900 per year, more than five times higher than in neighboring Haiti. And it will only get worse:

The board will consider approving the agreement during a meeting on May 8. If approved, Ferguson will face a $4,000 fine, with half suspended if he pays $2,000 within 45 days—

For decades, Tehran has delayed, promised, denied, escalated, and recalibrated — all while rebuilding its capabilities... and preserving the machinery of regime survival. The Iranian regime is not sustained by ideology alone. It is sustained by money, contracts, ports, banks, smugglers, foundations, front companies, privileged merchants, terrorist proxies, and commercial collaborators. Washington... must target the networks that feed it. The regime does not move money through uniforms and official titles. It moves money through family members, front companies, exchange houses, shipping firms, insurance brokers, commodity traders, gold dealers, charities, banks, and offshore accounts. Every one of these channels must be mapped, exposed, and disrupted.

What would be unpardonable is if US President Donald J. Trump simply replaced a brutal Islamic dictatorship with an equally brutal non-Islamic dictatorship -- as seen in other adversaries of the West such as Russia, China, and North Korea. At the height of the violence in mid-January, Trump memorably told the Iranian protesters that "HELP IS ON ITS WAY", while calling on the anti-regime activists to "seize control of your destiny." Iran is still drawing out negotiations as it reconstructs its nuclear and missile sites. Meanwhile, concerns are growing that Trump is losing interest in the plight of ordinary Iranians. He has recently been stating that he no longer regards regime—

The Supreme Court ruled Monday its prior ruling on race-based congressional districts takes immediate effect. The order {SEE HERE} speeds up the normal 32-day timeline and puts the State of Louisiana on notice their current districts are not constitutional. Effectively the Louisiana Governor and legislature have delayed the election to address the districts. However, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was not happy with the immediacy ruling and wrote a dissent that was so ridiculous none of the other minority justices would sign on to it. Jackson said the majority “unshackles itself” from “constraints.” The court should follow the default rule, she insisted.

Because November’s elections are quickly approaching, the Supreme Court held that, yes, it could immediately certify the opinion. Callais is final. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued a strong dissent to this procedural holding. She opened by pointing out that Louisiana
