Teacher's Unions rank right up there with the pedophilic intentions of any other Jeffrey Epstein clone and with HAMAS, North Korea and CAIR with their animus toward America the Beautiful. Those evil organizations should all be placed on the enemies watch list.

A lot of America's problems now can be laid directly to left wing teachers.

The teacher's unions have been turned into PACs.
If they spent as much time teaching as they do espousing political causes, our kids would not be illiterate.

Teachers unions are non-profit organizations but in a classification that permits them to engage in and fund political activities. It is way past time to either remove their ability to engage in political activities, or remove their tax-exempt status. The union is paying to support Democrats who in turn protect the union in return for their support. All paid for by member dues and school districts (taxpayers).

It seems to me that if teachers can have that kind of money to throw around then they are not being underpaid.

The Teachsters Union works to bribe lawmakers to ensure themselves: more money, for less work, more holidays, smaller class sizes and ZERO accountability. Hey, the alternative would be competence and working hard.

Only $1 Billion? They are a $TRILLION Corporation, with over $49Billion in revenue last year alone, ranked by Forbes in the top 100 largest Corporations. Though they are taxed as a "Non-Profit. And that is just their Insurance and Annuity Fund, not their actual operating funds. They own multiple Banks worldwide, Insurance companies are the 2nd largest "Property Management" company Globally, they own the "Shopping" sections of several Casinos, and are one of the Largest ag land holders in the USA, the largest Grape Grower, by acreage,(for wine) in California. Not long ago their Union Headquarters in DC was the second largest building in the City, second only to the Pentagon...though schools are funded via property Tax, their building was Tax Exempt.

Wasn't Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education, supposed to be getting rid of her department and returning to the States that task? Could that stop this non profit monopoly?

The ever lower scores in reading and mathematics is the result of far left teachers spending time indoctrinating students in far left propaganda and not on academic. The union teachers are getting higher pay for doing less of value.

If you're interested in American history, please immerse yourself for a moment in the grass-roots movement from 1860 known as, "The Wide Awakes." The parallels are many, yet the contrast instantly obvious. I'd never heard of such a pre-war Northern movement, while studying American pre-civil war history in school and university, and the occasion for picking up on it now is that a far-left group of same name operates today, and tied the most recent assassination attempt on POTUS.
Is it possible that that group from history also became the model for the post-Civil War "KKK," with the only exception being the wearing of white coverings, instead of black? Both carried torches and were armed with swords, instead of hatchets.
They were bent on revolution and had aligned themselves with a political party of the time, starting local "chapters" all across the nation. It's a shocking statement on our times if this is where we are heading, but I fear it is. Keep your musket handy and your powder dry.

You would think they could fund an awful lot of school supplies to prevent their teachers from spending their own money on such things with that kind of money.
You certainly KNOW they expect specific things in return for helping elect Progressive Democrat candidates who generally advocate for limiting opportunities for "the children" where fewer are expecting to see a bright future as a result of those very policies and agenda.
The never ending taxes, fees, rules, gerrymandering, growing government in nearly all forms, are the prime reasons for the affordability problem.
Heaping more of the same and adding to it won't change that dynamic or equation.
This is something the GOP needs to sell to the public.
