Each month, the I&I/TIPP Poll reports on President Donald Trump’s favorability and approval among voters. But what about Vice President J.D. Vance? I&I/TIPP has numbers for him too, and they make for interesting insights into Vance’s approval by the voting public and his potential as a presidential candidate in 2028. The numbers, as we noted above, come from monthly national online opinion soundings of approximately 1,400 adults, spread across all regions and 36 demographic groups. On Monday, we posted an editorial reflecting our most recent I&I/TIPP poll, which found that by a 4-to-1 margin, Americans think their taxes have gone up, despite the seven major tax cuts contained in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger has, since her election as a “moderate” Democrat last fall, quickly proved that she’s neither a moderate nor even remotely intelligent. If she were, she’d never have agreed to sign Virginia onto the left’s unconstitutional scheme to bypass the Electoral College.

This year, the average tax refund was up 11%, according to IRS data, thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which cut individual income taxes by almost $130 billion dollars.
Which makes the findings of this month’s I&I/TIPP Poll so shocking.
Yes, the poll found that the public is fairly evenly split when it comes to tax fairness. [snip]
But the poll also found that 40% of adults believe their taxes are “much” or “somewhat” higher, while just 10% said they were either “somewhat” or “much” lower.
That’s a 4-to-1 difference. This makes no sense.
Earlier this week, the Trump administration took another step toward liberating the economy by rolling back a Biden-era rule that needlessly hampered oil and gas production.
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said that, with this and several other deregulatory actions, the administration “is unleashing domestic energy and revising burdensome, unworkable Biden-era oil and natural gas policies.”
That’s the good news.

A violent “group of juveniles” allegedly chased a Philadelphia college student across campus and into a residence hall before beating him in a vicious, caught-on-video attack.
The assault happened around 2:50 a.m. Sunday at Temple University, when the teens chased the student into the Morgan Hall South dorm, according to the Temple University Police Department.
“Once inside, the group struck the student and damaged university property,” police said.
The unidentified student sustained minor injuries in the attack and declined medical treatment at the scene.

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map.
