Forget covering protests — some reporters think they should be the ones making the ruckus.
A group of over 250 journalists implored members of the Beltway press corps to “forcefully demonstrate opposition” to President Trump at the ritzy White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
Trump, 79, is set to attend the swanky dinner for the first time in his presidency. But the group of 250 reporters is demanding that the White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) ensure he doesn’t feel welcome. We believe the White House Correspondents Association should take stronger action by issuing — from the podium —

So: What's the news? They have shown that they no longer report the news, they make the news. In effect they show that they are no longer journalists they are just more left wing hacks and we cannot believe anything that they report on.
They have dropped all evidence of impartiality.

Our nation's leftist hacks have all gone stark-raving mad and, with each passing day, proves the point from the political right that America would be MUCH better off without any leftists in power.

Fifteen years ago, this dinner and Obama's mean and childish comments about DJT was the straw that broke the Camel's back IMO. The press will never acknowledge the amazing results we are seeing daily it seems, but I think the President will point them out. In detail.
Normally, I don't listen to the rantings, I just read about the policies and results. I think I'll make an exception this time!

Nothing says "We are unbiased and non political observers and reporters of events" than calling for a left wing protest against the most open and available President. Alleged non biased journalists are so blinded to their anti Trump bias that they are blinded to it. When Trump makes his speech during the dinner, he should recite the mistrust in media statistics. Report just the facts but do it in the fun cutting way that only Trump can do.

Keep track, keep score...those who "prove" an unwarranted degree of partisanship, dishonesty and animosity after inviting him to "Their House"?
Get no seat at the table, no invitation to "Our House".
Keep in mind....last year he "Earned", In Courts, over $150Million in damages and restitution from famous "Journalists and Media outlets" that LIED about him to the public.
The "Dinner" is not just "The Dinner" it is over 25 other events, parties, salons, lunches, cocktail parties, dances, over three days.
It is held in the "Grand Ballroom" of the Hilton...The White-house itself has no Ballroom or event space large enough, yet these same Media/Press people are near universal in bashing Trump for building a space that can.

These clowns haven't figured out that no one really gives a rat's rear end about what they write, say or do. Go ahead and create a stir and make Trump's point about the press being unprofessional and fake. And Dan Rather? A proven fabulist demanding accountability? Don't make me laugh. Hey, I didn't even think he was still alive.

The White House press corps had better humiliate President Trump - - or the "journalists" will hold their breaths until they turn blue - - and not dry the dishes. Stomping of feet may also take place.
Nothing is more comforting - - than watching highly-skilled professionals in action.

Trump has been shot and nearly escaped death and these lying hacks want to disrupt a dinner more or less in their honor? I hope they they do and show themselves as the petty fools for the world to see. Then revoke the hecklers press access for the rest of his term. Maybe they are smart enough to realize that exposing themselves as the classless dorks they are only helps DJT.

Sheesh. Do you really think Trump is some kind of idiot who doesn't know what's going on around him? He is apparently CHOOSING to attend; so in that sense, he's hardly a victim. That's HIS decision, not ours. No need to defend him. Maybe he knows something we don't? Maybe he LIKES to stir the pot?

I'd not bother to go. By refusing to attend for five years (2016-2020, and 2025), Trump put the "nerd prom" in the ICU. Three more years of non-attendance, and it would be time to pull the plug.

Let's not call them journalists. They are political activists and operatives aligned against a president the American people chose twice. They don't wish President Trump, nor the American people well. They have spent every year since he came down the escalator, looking for ways to get him removed from office, thrown in jail, or worse. Real journalists wouldn't have fallen for (or promoted) the Russia Hoax. They would have seen through the silly "Putin's Puppet" narratives, and dug deeper, discovering they were concocted in some deep state office. These self-serving operatives are the same ones who covered for Biden's dementia. They have shown the world who they are, and that is why nobody trusts them any more.

scribblers and bibblers and dribblers. there you have it; their entire evening of erudition. you're welcome.
all else is tacky self-aggrandising DC drear.
ancient societies like the Celts were founded upon, and insisted upon steadfastly, by laws of courtesy,
hospitality, and protections for dignitaries, musicians, storytellers, guests, as well as the needy,
women, children, and lone travellers upon the roads, before and after the arrival of St Patrick.
they would welcome you in, serve you, play music for you , and recite:
often often often goes The Christ in the stranger's guise.
the question being: where did we get these lowlifes?

The way reporters lie is astounding; do they honestly think we care what most of them think? And wasn't Dan Rather, the one who used "unauthenticated, forged documents to report on George W. Bush’s National Guard service"?? Why would ANYONE take him seriously on any matter?

#8, I agree completely. I've said this on other threads, but I was watching that dinner when President Obama thought it would be a bright idea to humiliate Donald Trump in front of the press. He gave a funny speech. And I think he and the Press had a really good time.
But when the camera cut to Trump, I saw the look on his face, and I said out loud in my claymation Goliath the dog voice, "I don't think that was a very good idea, Daaa-vey!" More to the point, I thought, "President Obama you've just made an active enemy of a critic who has more media savvy, more financial resources, and more genuine life accomplishments than you do outside of the Presidency."
I believe President Trump swore in that moment to destroy President Obama's political Legacy and devastate his minions, but even I had no concept of how effective a weapon he would be against his enemies. Even those who disagree with his policies have been forced recognize the reality that President Trump is the most consequential president we had in my lifetime.
Last thing on the journoids: Peggy Noonan was a loyal Reaganaut before she went a little nuts. She opposed Trump in every way she could, and refused to attend an off the record visit he made to the Wall Street Journal. Her reason was interesting. She believed that actually meeting the man in person might cause her to like him enough to overcome her distaste for him. Much later, she did attend an off the record briefing and reported in general terms that confirmed her suspicions: he was genial, funny, self-aware, and ribald in his candor and profanity. And she found herself liking him in spite of everything.
I hope I live long enough to find out who Donald Trump really was in office. He's simply fascinating.

More proof you don't hate the MSM enough. #39's example of Peggy Noonan is a perfect example of the willfully ignorant and emotionally negative combo that the left works hard to amp up every waking hour. They are disgusting people with limited intelligence, but believing they are smarter than the rest of us. The BEST thing the internet has done, is to make them less relevant and more exposed. If some foreign power or sick billionaire wasn't paying them, they would starve trying to find an audience via a podcast.
