Fenway Park Video Shows the America We Lost

When the Boston Red Sox’s legendary Fenway Park posted archival footage of 1950s Opening Day last week, the team expected a pleasant wave of nostalgia. But the comments section produced something else. The grainy clip showed thousands of Bostonians all lining up with uninhibited joy for a baseball game. After receiving almost 10 million views, the video was so flooded with pointed comments that Fenway had to lock it. The message was clear: The America in the video exposed the unmistakable decline of our current nation. Millions of viewers saw it and immediately understood why.

Boot the illegals out and if the Supreme's won't let us declare their children foreigners as well then offer some form of a temporary work permit tied to assimilation and a VERY clear requirement that they are not eligible for public assistance and will permanently lose that 'amnesty' if they vote or so much as commit a crime worse than a parking ticket. REQUIRE that they must learn English within 5 years or be sent packing with or without their kids. Forbid schools from teaching or permitting any language other than English. And most importantly, make the consequences for anyone that might hire an illegal so egregious that employers risk heavy fines and jail time if they do.

" And most importantly, make the consequences for anyone that might hire an illegal so egregious that employers risk heavy fines and jail time if they do". I have said that for years. Catch one illegal working for your company and it's $1,000 per day fine for every day that they were on your payroll. They will scream "But we didn't know he was illegal"!!. Tough. They knew or suspected that he was illegal and if you didn't do due diligence, then it's your problem. Show citizenship or a temp work permit or you are not hired. It would only take a few cases for the word would get out. Exceptions could be made for your independent lawn guy, handyman or small companies found to be employing less than five workers or some such number established by law. Most of those probably never file a tax return anyway but that's a problem for the IRS.

For the first 200 years the de facto motto of this nation was E PLURIBUS UNUM, out of many, one or the melting pot concept of assimilation. Differences were to be reconciled. This worked fairly well for about 200 years. Then, in about 1960, some people came up with the salad bowl idea where differences were to be celebrated and coexist. Rather than end friction it emphasized problems and created a culture of victim hoods dividing people from different places. The opposite of what was supposed to happen.

Hart/Celler legislation of the 60s and later Democrat immigration legislation was drawn to change the immigrant racial proportion, so mostly Democrat voters (minorities) were accepted as citizens. Biden then opened the gates to anyone who would vote Democrat as soon as possible legally or illegally. Goodbye America!

Looking up information on Google today means confronting AI Overviews, the Gemini-powered search robot that appears at the top of the results page. AI Overviews has had a rough time since its 2024 launch, attracting user ire over its scattershot accuracy, but it’s getting better and usually provides the right answer. That’s a low bar, though. A new analysis from The New York Times attempted to assess the accuracy of AI Overviews, finding it’s right 90 percent of the time. The flip side is that 1 in 10 AI answers is wrong
America’s first foreign war on “the

I have just finished two books that very nicely recount America’s first foreign war in the first decade of the 1800s, following its independence from Great Britain. The war was President Thomas Jefferson’s effort to stop the piracy of American ships by the three Islamic nations on the north coast of Africa — Algeria, Tunis, and Tripoli (now in Libya) — then called the Barbary coast. When the ruler of Tripoli declared war against the U.S., Jefferson was glad to oblige.

During the left’s infamous “march through the institutions,” it brilliantly captured organizations that held gatekeeping authority over access to careers and professions. Among these were education, journalism, and much of the fine arts, but the most important was the left’s capture of the American Bar Association. ABA accreditation of a law school has been required in all 50 states for a law school’s graduates to be able to take the bar exam. Texas and Florida just ended the ABA’s monopoly, and not a moment too soon.

It comes once a month, often quietly, but lately it’s landed like a thud. Heating your home now costs hundreds more a month than it did just a few years ago. You use the same appliances. You flip the same switches. Nothing in your daily life has changed – except the price. Why? The American electricity market is not guided by an “invisible hand” of supply and demand, but an accumulation of misaligned rules laid down over decades. Layer upon layer of regulation, subsidy, mandate, and accounting rules

For those of us who’ve been most passionate about defeating the mandates and regulations designed to impose an all-EV future, we understood that it wasn’t really about replacing gasoline-powered internal combustion (“ICE”) vehicles with electric vehicles. Rather, the goal was to eliminate all personal transportation freedom, and by outlawing ICE vehicles, the battle would be halfway won, ... Here in the U.S., blue states are pivoting toward mileage caps, which would establish maximum “vehicle miles traveled” (“VMT”) allowed for an entire state, with regulators then creating “incentives” to reduce individual driving so as to achieve the VMT objective.

What if I told you Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., has the power and the votes — right now — to save Republicans’ congressional majorities, President Trump’s second-term agenda, and maybe the republic itself, all while poleaxing Democrats on the short side of an 84-15 issue? Requiring voters to prove their citizenship is one of the most popular ideas in the country, with 84 percent of Americans supporting and only 15 percent opposed. That’s why 36 states and most of the world’s developed countries already have it on the books.

So Ondrasik knows a thing or two about both music and culture. It’s why he decided to weigh in on Sunday’s Grammy awards, a night replete with ugly, persistent attacks on ICE agents. Stupidity or Evil: Which is More Dangerous? 8 replies

“Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than evil.” — Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Bonhoeffer’s insight remains one of the most unsettling diagnoses of moral collapse ever written—not because it flatters our intelligence, but because it strips away comforting illusions. Evil, he observed, can be confronted. It can be named, resisted, punished. Stupidity, by contrast, is immune to argument. Facts bounce off it. Evidence is dismissed as irrelevant. Moral reasoning fails not because it is weak, but because it is no longer being received.
