Artemis II astronauts have paid tribute to a late friend after reaching a milestone distance from Earth. On Monday, April 6, Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Astronauts Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen reached 252,756 miles from Earth as they headed toward the far side of the moon. The milestone on day six of their mission beat Apollo 13’s 1970 distance record of 248,655 miles from Earth. The crew marked the history-making moment by naming one of two newly discovered moon craters after Wiseman’s late wife, Carroll, who died of cancer in 2020, according to Space.

I sure hope they're able to get pics of some of our last lunar trips to shut up those that say they were just Hollywood movie sets.

In response to #1, their trajectory did not put them in a position to photograph the previous six sites, and even if they had, it would not faze any of the conspiracy crackpots.

Rex Heuermann answered preliminary questions before admitting to killing eight women and discarding their bodies at Gilgo Beach over more than a decade. The serial killer answered the judge in a loud, confident voice during the court hearing Wednesday, where he switched his pleas to guilty. Cameras were required to switch off when Heuermann was sworn in, but they captured the moments leading up to it. Here's the transcript:

You almost have to admire how far some Republicans are willing to go to lose the 2026 midterms — and ultimately, the country. Throughout their recent two-week vacation, several GOP lawmakers have been making the media rounds to tout “bipartisan” legislation they claim will finally solve America’s broken immigration system. There’s just one teensy-weensy important detail that somehow gets brushed aside: The bill would allow millions of illegal aliens to continue living in the United StatesSponsored by Reps. Maria Elvira Salazar, R-Fla., Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., and other lawmakers, the so-called DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act permits “certain long-term undocumented immigrants to earn legal status, without amnesty or a path to citizenship”

Republican Mike Lawler is trying to pull off one of the oldest tricks in the Swamp, and he’s using the left’s playbook to do it. Lawler is taking amnesty, dressing it up in soft compassion, slapping a warm and fuzzy “marketing” name on it, and hoping voters are dumb enough not to notice. That’s exactly what the so-called “Dignity Act” is. It’s massive amnesty with a brand new makeover, but no amount of spin is going to change what it really is.(snip)The people who’ve been here illegally for years aren’t more sympathetic because they managed to stick around longer.

Pam Bondi was President Donald Trump’s second choice for attorney general, and she never quite fit. Bondi often looked uncomfortable in the top prosecutor role, fumbling her way through and failing to meet the demands of a Department of Justice with a mandate to bring the criminals in the corrupt Biden administration to account. The frustration from the MAGA movement has been mounting for many months. The president’s patience had worn threadbare with an attorney general who — for many reasons — never did deliver on one of Trump’s biggest campaign promises: justice for the people caught in the crosshairs of the left’s political lawfare campaign.

Well, because it destroys the lie they’ve spent years selling. The jobs numbers are coming in hot, and they’re hitting at the right moment for Trump. The war with Iran, rising gas prices, and hand-wringing from the usual doomsayers is causing a lot of understandable concern. But, right on cue, the US economy showed up and punched straight through expectations. As we head into midterm season, there’s nothing voters care about more than the economy. It’s still early, and a lot can change, but there are signs things may be turning around March jobs did not just beat expectations. They beat them to a pulp.

It is absolutely self-evident to me that space exploration is pointless, and the more urgent the crises besetting this planet we live on, the more pointless it becomes. I can see why people got excited about it in the 1960s, back when the world was young and we still thought there might be little green people out there – who wouldn’t want to meet them? Most serious opinion, however, has now settled on the “Where is everybody?” paradox first framed by the physicist Enrico Fermi in 1950. If there is intelligent life anywhere, why has it not sought to make contact? It’s because there isn’t. There’s nothing out there

The move was “subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz,” he wrote on Truth Social. The announcement came less than two hours before his deadline on Iran to either make a deal that includes opening the Strait of Hormuz or else face major attacks on its civilian infrastructure. Pope Leo XIV used part of his Palm Sunday message to castigate the United States for attempting to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power and threatening the world with mass destruction. In doing so, the "American Pope" confused the real enemy in the war. Addressing thousands in St. Peter's Square, the Pope claimed that God rejects the prayers of leaders who wage war. He called the Iran war "atrocious" violence that cannot be justified by faith. He further said that God doesn't hear the prayers of people whose "hands (are) full of blood."

He seems to think that $40 million fortune of hers came from something different than wine sales from her winery. Which is shockingly direct. Usually, they don't state things so directly. But if it's true that Omar ran a pay-to-play refugee operation, it would surely be illegal. And who would be in a position to know this better than Rubio who runs the Department of State and all its adjacents? With a confident tweet like that, it seems likely that he knows something. The U.S. government is using AI to locate and arrest migrants who are accused of being in the United States illegally. According to several reports, the Department of Homeland Security is hiring a litany of private contractors and giving them the names of thousands of migrants. The contractors are then using artificial intelligence to find the migrants. The process of using AI, public records, databases, online information and surveillance is called “skip tracing.” It’s been used by debt collectors, bail bondsmen and private investigators for years. But reports say DHS is paying private companies billions of dollars to use this process to find migrants for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement
