There’s nothing really new in the uproar surrounding the loss of a USAF F-15E Strike Eagle over Iran this past weekend. Media hysteria over the downing of a single U.S. aircraft has become a commonplace schtick in coverage of American wars over the past three decades.
During WW II, the U.S. lost over 23,000 planes in combat. I kid you not, playmates: 23,000+ – and that’s only combat losses. Overall losses, including accidents, amounted to 65,164. The media talking heads would have had to be carried out in straitjackets if they’d been active at the time.
Losses dropped sharply following WW II. In Korea, the USAF lost 147 shot down

Leave it to the woke left to ignore, well, reality.
In the latest episode of Woke Progressives Gone Wild, former women's soccer player Megan Rapinoe is back to her usual shenanigans, denying biology in favor of having dudes play in women's sports. You'd think, having been a soccer player, a sport which I am given to understand required speed, strength, agility, and endurance, she's know better; but, clearly, she doesn't know, or care, about the differences between men and women.
Former U.S. women’s soccer star Megan Rapinoe ripped the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for implementing a new policy to ensure fairness across women’s competitions.

Unlike King Charles, by oath Defender of the Faith (Anglican), who skipped that thought this year, I do wish a Happy Easter to all who celebrate. I hope by the time you read this on Sunday we will have even more good news to celebrate.
In Iran an F-15E was downed in a remote part of the country. The pilot was quickly rescued, but despite conflicting accounts, it appears that the Weapons Systems Officer is still missing, and a significant search is ongoing to find and rescue him. (An A-10 was also shot down and that pilot rescued.) every effort is being made in the rescue operation, including the presence of

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) may have dropped off the radar a little bit after things settled down in Minneapolis, but a flurry of arrests just outside Pittsburgh suggests that ICE is as active as ever and addressing a problem that’s been a long time coming.
ICE arrested a reported 13 people at a driver’s license center in a quiet, rural location 40 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh on April 3.
According to WPXI-TV, the local East Franklin Police Department placed calls to ICE “after concerned citizens reported an abnormally large amount of individuals outside the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) driver licensing center in Kittanning, Pennsylvania.”

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger (D.) and other local authorities are under fire over a recent string of very high profile and preventable crimes committed by illegal aliens in the sanctuary state.
One of Spanberger’s first actions as governor was to sign an executive order barring state and local authorities from cooperating with federal authorities for federal immigration enforcement.

Barack Obama loves lecturing us about ‘democracy’ and ‘voter suppression’ — except when it’s his own ugly library handing out grand-opening tickets. Then suddenly, citizenship matters.
What is the attribute that stands out most to you when it comes to Barack? Narcissist? Sure. A generally pompous jackwagon? Definitely. Dork? Quite often.
But somewhere on anybody's list, the word "hypocrite" is sure to show up. Whether it's top 5 or top 10 for his most obvious traits is the only question.
So, imagine my surprise when I took a gander at the requirements for a contest to win two tickets to the Obama Presidential Center Grand Opening Ceremony this coming June, and discovered that

Ever notice how sometimes you stumble across a story where, about one paragraph in, you already know how it will end? Well, here's another; it turns out that building a huge solar panel farm in tornado country, sooner or later, is going to produce perfectly predictable results.
Case in point: A billion-dollar solar farm in Indiana has been wrecked by an EF-1 tornado - not a big one, as tornadoes go, but big enough.
An article from the German climate science critical Report24 reports on a major disaster involving a solar farm in Indiana that was destroyed by a tornado, underlying the fragility of PV systems as a source of energy.

It was a busy week! The Democrats conducted one of their periodic “no kings” self-owns, while the Noem family experienced an unexpected bump in the road. April Fools Day came and went, and Tiger Woods’ vehicle once again let him down. The conflict in Iran continued, but memesters didn’t seem to notice. The Supreme Court heard a big birthright citizenship case, and if some of this week’s memes puzzle you, google “KitKat.”
I selected queens as this week’s theme:

If you think Gavin Newsom is obnoxious, get a load of his wife. She took her children on a tour of red states so they could witness racism, misogyny and bullying first-hand. Because those things don’t exist in California but are pervasive in Red America: (X) And isn’t that the hideous Jen Psaki, former White House Press Secretary, nodding along?
The arrogance of these people is of course appalling, but to me, the stupidity is even worse. People of all races are fleeing blue states like California and flocking to red states like Texas and Florida. It isn’t because they love racism and sexism, it is because life is better

CBS News is the Titanic of broadcast news organizations. It's a century old, spans the globe, airs something like a dozen programs, and employs more than 10,000 — the most powerful all cut from the same ideological mold.
Steering that hulk away from the iceberg is no easy feat, but it's the assignment given to new editor-in-chief Bari Weiss by parent-company Paramount CEO David Ellison.
Weiss has been at the helm for less than a year, so I've been more than willing to cut her plenty of slack as she tries to steer the massive ship more toward the center. Results so far are mixed — and she was never going

That is the title of a City Journal article by Chris Rufo and others. Exposure of industrial-scale fraud in Minnesota has led to heightened awareness of theft of taxpayer funds in other states, with California at the top of the list. The City Journal article is long and detailed; here are just a few highlights:
California is a cash machine. The state collects some of the country’s highest income, business, and fuel taxes, and now spends more than $300 billion per year. And yet, everywhere you look, California seems to be falling apart.
$300 billion a year is an astonishing amount, but, as the authors write, California’s infrastructure (highways, bridges, etc.)

Coral Springs Vice Mayor Nancy Metayer Bowen was found dead in her home Wednesday morning, and her husband was taken into custody in a case police say is being investigated as domestic violence.
Officers arrived around 10 a.m. for a welfare check at her Broward County residence, and after gaining entrance to her house, they found her body. Authorities then arrested her husband, Stephen Bowen. Police have not released the cause of death or confirmed what charges, if any, have been filed.
Police have not said what triggered the welfare check or how long she had been dead before officers arrived. Authorities have also not said whether anyone else
