Trump and Rubio Confirm: NATO Is Cooked

Original Article

The divide between the United States and the other major NATO members continues to widen. Despite not being asked to directly participate in the conflict against Iran, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Spain, among others, have put up roadblocks, repeatedly shifting on something as simple as base usage, and even denying the use of airspace for cargo transit. As I said in my previous write-up on the matter, there is no point in being in such a one-sided, self-serving alliance. France, the United Kingdom, and Germany have been asked to do very little in support of this mission.

Once those NATO countries figure out that the USA is no longer there, and the Russians start making rumbling noises, watch for those NATO countries to change their tune big time!

Those ingrates are utterly undeserving of a single drop of our blood or a cent of our money. As for Congressional approval, simply stop spending the NATO contribution and get the troops home. Let the membership remain on paper pending Democrats/RINO approval. Without US funds NATO will grind to a halt in a few hours.

One of my uncles died a few years ago, at the age of 94. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany in the early 1950’s. We’ve been babysitting them THAT LONG. Twice in the last century, my family sent their sons, armed, to France - to pull the Germans from their throats. Enough is enough. Bring everybody home. Leave the Euroweenies to figure it out for themselves.

We will need to improve our technology and capabilities so that we will not be impacted by the non support of Europe. We can divert the 65% of NATO's budget to our own use. While we are at it, let's dump the UN and kick their headquarters out of the US. Let's stop pretending that such "diplomacy" as practiced in the UN has any value to the US. It's just a platform to treat us as a punching bag. Let's grab back the land and the buildings and send them packing. Overall, we should focus on our own needs and let the rest of the world fend for themselves. We can have specific agreements with other countries to mutual benefit but large groups of arrogant and snotty people have no value to us.

Interesting. I'm retired military living near a large US air base in N. Italy. It's technically an "Italian Base" and we are visitors/tenants. The locals every so often have protests over our presence, be darned the economic impact if we were to take our ball and go home. Amazingly stupid IMO. I like that President Trump is rocking that apple cart. The affect on me wold be minimal as my part time job is just that and used to occupy my mind till the end of the year. I'll remain here as I'll be fully retired and like it here. Cris in Italy

What galls me is how the Europeans look down their noses at us and consider us uncouth savages, but they sure like being supported by us.

We saved Europe's arses BEFORE NATO, and if needs arise, we are likely to do so again. Our military bases serve little but arms manufacturers and the countries where we dump hundreds of millions in every year. Maybe it IS time to walk away from NATO, because I do not believe it has accomplished much since WW2 except our frustration.

WASHINGTON — The record-breaking 46-day partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security could end soon. House Republicans appear to have caved and backed the Senate plan to fund all of DHS except parts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as US Customs and Border Protection. “We are going forward to fund our incredible ICE Agents and Border Patrol through a process that doesn’t need Radical Left Democrat votes, and bypasses the Senate Filibuster (which should be repealed, IMMEDIATELY!),” President Trump announced on Truth Social.

President Donald Trump says he is reconsidering America’s membership of NATO after not a single member heeded his call for aid in securing the Middle East from Iranian threats, he told a British newspaper. It was “actually hard to believe” the hard refusals of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO’s) European members, that the instinct to rally to the flag of a fellow member when called wasn’t reflexive, U.S. President Donald Trump has told The Daily Telegraph.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Tuesday that Iran no longer poses an existential threat to Israel after what he described as a month of joint U.S.-Israeli operations that crippled Tehran’s nuclear and missile capabilities, while President Donald Trump said the war is nearing its end and “won’t last much longer.” In a recorded statement released ahead of Passover, which begins Wednesday night, Netanyahu said Israel has “achieved immense, enormous accomplishments” in its campaign against Iran and its regional terror proxies

As discussed earlier today, Democrats may be facing problems in a few years thanks to all of the people choosing to leave blue states and move to red states instead. Over time, that reduces the number of electoral votes in those blue states as well as the number of people representing the state in the House. There can be many reasons people decide to leave blue states but one of the ones often pointed to is taxation and another is affordability. It's not a coincidence that some of our largest blue cities also have some of the highest home and rental prices. So does fleeing these cities really benefit

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is willing to join the US-Iran war and is preparing to help the United States and other allies reopen the Strait of Hormuz by force, according to a new report that cited Arab officials. This comes as Iran continues its attacks on the UAE and other Gulf states in response to US-Israeli attacks on its territory. Such a move would make the UAE the first Persian Gulf country to join the conflict directly. This also comes after US President Donald Trump lashed out at allies on Tuesday for not doing more to support the US war effort against Iran,

At least 1,411 people have been killed by illegal migrants, nearly all of whom have been killed during the last 25 years, according to a list assembled by a grassroots group that opposes mass migration. “The reason we put the list out is that a lot of people don’t realize how large the scale actually is — they usually just hear a blurb about the latest [victim],” Bill Gheen, founder of the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) grassroots group, told Breitbart News. The list of 1,411 deaths “is a very conservative number because there are a lot of statistics that police officers

The recent massive U.S. strike near Iran’s central city of Isfahan likely sought to render Tehran’s remaining highly enriched uranium stockpile inaccessible by burying it deep underground — a strategy that would negate the need for a prolonged and risky U.S. ground operation to extract the material, according to an Israeli military analyst writing Tuesday. Writing in Ynet on Tuesday, Israeli military analyst Ron Ben-Yishai — a veteran Yediot Ahronot correspondent and Israel Prize recipient — assessed that the strike reflects a deliberate U.S. effort to neutralize Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile by entombing it beneath rock, soil, and collapsed tunnel infrastructure rather than attempting to remove it by force.

Any RedState reader already knows this, but apparently it’s news to the Left. Why, leftists seemingly ask, don’t our subjects like the rising crime, homelessness, high taxes, and insane housing costs we bring them? They should know what’s good for them. Dimon said, yeah, not so much: Jamie Dimon sounded off on high taxes and poor quality of life being major factors in the exodus of people and businesses from blue states.

Hollywood also did this to itself. The movie industry made a very deliberate choice to stop entertaining people and start lecturing them. When Trump came down that escalator, Hollywood went bonkers. Among the pub-table strategists and commentators in Europe talking about Iran you often hear the phrase, “This is not our war.” That’s a view as wrong as it is strategically unwise. Of course it is our war. It is far more our war than America’s. The infiltration of European societies by Islamist networks is further advanced and more acute here than in America. (And solidarity with Israel, whose very existence is under threat, ought to be far stronger in Germany than in the United States.) But even if one believed it was not our war, or even if one were disappointed
