Star Tribune Washington reporter Sydney Kashiwagi reported in the paper’s March 17 Morning Hot Dish newsletter: Zeroing in on Omar once again. Trump especially fixated on Omar during his announcement [of a fraud task force], elevating the unproven claim that she married her brother and committed immigration fraud and is thus “here illegally and she’s a congresswoman.” Trump urged Vance and members of the task force to look into the allegations. Omar clapped back at Trump’s remarks. She said on X that “the most disturbing part of his unhinged comments is how comfortable he is in telling the world how stupid he and his followers are.”

I read somewhere that her family was worried about bro's being in the UK due to homosexuality and so she marrid him to get him here. My takeaway was that he was gay and that they were worried about his being in "the life" in the UK.

Yet another member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Ali Mohammad Naeini, was reportedly killed in an airstrike overnight. He's just the latest high-ranking Iranian official to be dispatched to the afterlife thanks to the U.S.-Israel airstrikes that have decimated Iran for the past three weeks. (X) Naeini was one of several Iranian leaders who were reportedly killed in the most recent airstrikes. Intelligence has played a vital role in this war, with information often leading to strikes so precise they target individual apartments in Iran. Shortly before his demise, Naeini insisted Iran was still building missiles and that the war would continue. That last part may be true,

Three weeks into a military engagement in Iran, a war Republicans will not call a war, the American and Israeli militaries have all but wiped out Iran's capacity to make war. We have killed their leadership, the replacement leaders, and militia members on the ground. We have destroyed their missile launchers and the factories in which they made the missiles. But Iran still has one of the most powerful weapons in the world on its side, and it is ruthlessly deploying it – the American press corps. "Families mourn as dead are laid to rest in Tehran," blared the front page, above the fold headline in the Athens Banner-Herald

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese learned a valuable lesson about pandering to Islamists during a recent visit to a mosque in Sydney, with what was supposed to be a box-checking affair quickly getting out of hand. Following Albanese's denunciations of the Iranian regime, the left-winger must have felt the need to make amends. To do so, he showed up at a mosque to sit on the floor in his socks and parrot Muslim prayers. The Islamists in the crowd weren't as eager to accept his olive branch, though. Multiple videos showed the moment chaos erupted. At least one person tried to rush the prime minister, with the assumed

Celebrations for what would have been civil rights activist Cesar Chavez's 99th birthday are being canceled ahead of what's being described as "deeply troubling allegations" against the historic figure. Across the country, several local organizations began canceling their upcoming celebrations in anticipation of an upcoming story that is expected to share concerning reports about the former labor union advocate. As cancellations grew, the United Farm Workers (UFW), an organization co-founded by Chavez, released a statement on Tuesday confirming allegations were being made, including ones involving abuse of young women or minors. In response, the UFW announced it would no longer take part in any Cesar Chavez Day activities.

Authorities found 2.1 pounds of marijuana in Alabama star Aden Holloway's apartment when he was arrested on a felony drug possession charge Monday morning, according to charging documents obtained by ESPN on Tuesday. The amount discovered in the arrest is significant because any amount of marijuana above 2.2 pounds -- or a kilogram -- in the state of Alabama can result in a drug trafficking charge. Holloway, who was "removed from campus" and is not with the team days before the NCAA tournament because of the arrest, told police he wanted to exercise his Miranda rights and remain silent during the search of his apartment but then told police "he only smokes."

Arkansas GOP Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Thursday that she was asked to leave a restaurant in Little Rock last week because her presence made employees and customers feel "threatened." Sanders previously served as White House press secretary during President Donald Trump's first term and has since been a supporter of the president's immigration policies. The governor said she was dining with two other moms at the restaurant, which has been identified as The Croissanterie, when the owner allegedly told members of her security detail that Sanders must leave because her "presence made their employees feel threatened." As more and more people flee blue states and their high-tax, soft-on-crime, expensive cost-of-living environments, Democrats are going to become more desperate to stop the population hemorrhaging. Some places, like California, have tried exit taxes. New York Governor Kathy Hochul begged wealthy New Yorkers to return to fund her fraudulent, expensive welfare programs. In Washington, they're now forcing people to prove their houses have an acceptable "home energy score" before they're allowed to sell.

Useful idiots in California want to bend the knee to Islam, removing all doubt that this state can be saved. KTXL reported on Sunday that Democratic State Assemblyman Matt Haney has introduced a bill that would officially recognize two Muslim holidays — Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha — as state holidays. Eid al-Fitr, as the BBC noted, means “festival of the breaking of the fast,” marking the end of Ramadan. Muslim community leaders commended the bill as a “historic step” in efforts to combat Islamophobia, per KTXL.

Given Iran’s half century of cruel barbarism in the Middle East, it’s hard to understand why the Democrats seem to be rooting for them in the current war. I have two theories. One is the obvious one. The Dems are not so much rooting for Iran, as rooting against Iran’s enemy. Bad as Iran is, its enemy is even worse in the eyes of the Dems. Iran’s enemy, you see – or at least the Dems see – has a history of its own cruel barbarism going back to at least 1619. Iran’s enemy has engaged in genocide against native people. Iran’s enemy has wrongly oppressed workers of the world

In 2022, California Gov. Gavin Newsom broke ground on the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing (WAWC), a project featuring an overpass for animals atop ten lanes of the 101 Freeway in Southern California. At the ceremony, Newsom boasted that the state had committed $54 million. He promised to “complete the job within another $10 million,” before seeming to hedge on whether that final sum would do the trick. Officials projected a 2025 completion date for the overpass, and estimated that the entire project — which includes the bridge and other ancillary developments — would cost $92 million, some of it coming from private philanthropists.

California lawmakers said Thursday they planned to change the name of “César Chavez Day” to “Farmworkers Day” after sexual abuse allegations against the late civil rights leader arose earlier this week. The New York Times reported Wednesday that Chavez had groomed and sexually abused young girls within the labor rights movement while he served as leader of the United Farm Workers Union. One of those women was Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the union with Chavez in 1962. Huerta came forward this week with allegations that she was victimized by Chavez in her 30s.
