Texas state Rep. James Talarico secured a victory over Rep. Jasmine Crockett in the Democrat primary for U.S. Senate on Tuesday, overturning weeks of polling that had shown the Dallas congresswoman with a significant advantage in the race to determine the party’s nominee in the 2026 contest for the seat currently held by Republican Sen. John Cornyn.
Recent polling ahead of the March 3 primary showed Crockett leading. A University of Texas at Tyler poll conducted Feb. 13–22 surveyed 1,117 registered voters and 959 likely voters and found Crockett with 55 percent support compared to Talarico’s 37 percent, outside the poll’s 3.2-point margin of error

US Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) told supporters she was going to leave her own watch party after votes in Dallas County were delayed.
“We need to see the Dallas County votes to see where they are,” she said, per NOTUS, accusing the GOP of having “specifically targeted” Democratic voters.
[snip] Crockett seized on the chaos and suggested “cheating” was already taking place, fueled by Republicans.
“Unfortunately, this is what Republicans like to do, and so they specifically targeted Dallas County, and I think we all know why,” she told her supporters at the Dallas watch party.

A prominent Shiite organization in Dearborn, Michigan, held a memorial for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei over the weekend, honoring him for his "martyrdom" while accusing Americans of being led by Satan.
"We're gathered here today to commemorate the martyrdom of the great leader of our time, Sayyid Ali Hussein Khamenei," said Hassan Salamey, one of the speakers at the memorial held at the Hadi Institute on Sunday, a day after U.S. and Israeli forces executed Khamenei and other top Iranian officials in Operation Epic Fury.
Footage of the service went viral after being shared by the nonprofit Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) on X.

An American submarine sank an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed Wednesday, the first US sinking of an enemy ship by torpedo since World War II.
The attack left at least 101 people missing, one dead and 78 injured, sources in Sri Lanka’s navy and defense ministry told Reuters.
The IRIS Dena frigate was armed with heavy guns, surface-to-air missiles, anti-ship missiles and torpedoes and could carry a helicopter.
The 180-crew frigate had issued a distress call at dawn.
“An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo,”

Texas Republican congressional candidate and state Rep. Steve Toth defeated Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) in the primary election for Texas’s 2nd Congressional District.
In a press release, Toth expressed that “voters want a representative” in Washington, DC, “who will stand firm in his convictions” and “fight for his constituents,” according to the Texas Tribune.
“Congressional District 2 voters want a representative in D.C. who will stand firm in his convictions, fight for his constituents, and follow through on his promises,” Toth said. “I won’t let them down.”

Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) has been a lightning rod for criticism due to her outlandish statements, ever-changing accents, and generally reprehensible behavior. Yet somehow, she thought she was ready for the United States Senate.
The voters are weighing in, and their answer so far is: yeah, maybe not so much.
Although the official vote count has not been made final, Crockett trails at this hour to her competitor, TX state representative James Talarico. There’s already some legal back and forth, and courts are involved, so the final outcome may not be confirmed for days. Already, though, Crockett is blaming her poor performance on… election fraud.
Wait, I thought it was a danger

Jasmine Crockett didn’t simply lose her Senate primary. She staged a slow-motion meltdown on the way out the door, complete with preemptive claims of cheating and “disenfranchisement,” long before the votes were even done being counted.
Early Tuesday evening, while ballots were still being tallied across 254 Texas counties, Crockett started laying the groundwork for an excuse. She told supporters there had been “a lot of confusion” in Dallas County. She insisted that “people have been disenfranchised,” blaming Republicans for supposedly targeting Dallas and hinting darkly at votes that might not count. Then she left her own watch party early and told the crowd not to expect results that night,

Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem testified that the Biden administration funneled cash to sponsors who trafficked and abused unaccompanied migrant children. Federal dollars poured through the Department of Health and Human Services right into the pockets of adults escaping screening, meaning many of those people ended up as outright predators.
The Office of Refugee Resettlement dumped kids into homes without solid background checks, skipped consistent DNA testing, and ignored follow-ups that could've kept them safe. Nearly 450,000 kids cycled through the system, many of whom disappeared after sloppy placements.
If Noem slams down documented proof linking this mess straight to federal blunders,

As my RedState colleague Brad Slager documented, many mainstream media outlets rushed to report on how Shajarah Tayyebeh, a girls' elementary school in southern Iran, had been hit on Saturday, with unverified claims from Iranian officials that it was "bombed in broad daylight, when packed with young pupils" after the start of Operation Epic Fury.
Brad noted in his write-up that the suggestion/insinuation from these same Iranian regime officials that it was a deliberate "strike" on the school by the U.S. and Israel was not initially met with the appropriate amount of media skepticism from U.S.-based outlets that such claims warranted.

Jack Schlossberg, the only grandson of former president John F. Kennedy who is running in the Democratic primary for New York's 12th Congressional District, received no "earned income" in 2025 but holds millions of dollars worth of assets in four trust funds, a Washington Free Beacon review of his financial disclosures found.
The total value of Schlossberg’s disclosed assets ranges from $10.5 million to $31.9 million, according to the disclosures, which cover the period between January 2025 and February 2026. His assets include lucrative investment portfolios parked in four trust funds worth between $4.1 million and $11.7 million, the 25-page document shows.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) told Angel Families who were present in the audience that he was “sorry,” but that Americans are more likely to be murdered by fellow Americans than illegal aliens. “For the folks that are here and your families, I’m sorry. It’s terrible what happened to your children and family members, but they are more likely, American citizens are more likely to be attacked by United States citizens who are not undocumented who came here and who were born here,” Cohen told Angel Families. “[Americans] are more likely to commit these crimes.”

TMZ posted a Sunday interview on their site featuring an alleged military spouse named Kendall Brown just one day after Operation Epic Fury was launched. As expected, the interview has gone viral for a number of reasons. In it, Brown claims that she, her service member husband, and many military families are distraught and unhappy over having to fight a war with Iran. Brown complained that the Operation Epic Fury campaign is a "distraction" to hide the Trump administration's failures.
TMZ writes:
Kendall talks in-depth about how her husband is deeply unhappy with the situation,
