Hegseth: We've Only Just Begun to Win

Original Article

Will we get tired of the winning before we get tired of the fighting? That political question hangs over all the successes of Operation Epic Fury, even after just four days of hostilities. The news on that question may be better than some believe. We'll get to that in a moment. First, though, let's review all of the winning. The joint US-Israel war on Iran continues to expand without any effective defense from the regime's forces. The IRGC continues to launch ballistic missiles at Israel and every US partner in the region, barrages that have done mild damage to structures and taken the lives of six American soldiers

Be nice to know where they store their missiles. Once they are depleted, Iran is pretty helpless.

This will be a war of steps. SUCCESS The leadership has been decapitated. The Navy has been sunk/destroyed. The control of the airspace has been achieved. Global loss of support for Iran has been achieved through US actions and Iran's attacking other countries PARTIAL SUCCESS Missiles have been significantly degraded through destruction of launchers and use without significant damages. Some army/IRGC resources and personnel have been destroyed. ONGOING WAR GOALS All missile launchers & missiles need to be discovered and destroyed. More army/IRGC resources and personnel need to be eliminated. Remaining leadership responsible for bad activities need to be caught or eliminated. Cessation of ALL Iranian missile, military force, and general hostile activity. Leadership needs to be effectively confronted to a surrender or eliminated. Location and DESTRUCTION of all nuclear weapon materials, research, and facilities. Identification and control of personnel involved. Support for Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, and any other terrorists needs to be completely stopped and repudiated. Control of cash used for payment for military and terrorist activities. Establishment of monitoring capabilities to prevent rebuilding of nuclear and terrorist activities. UPCOMING POSSIBILITIES BEYOND WAR Non Islamic leadership needs to step up and and commit to a change of posture against Israel, the US, and the world. Iranian connections to China, Russia, and other bad actors need to be severed or reduced. There may be some others but this is a good start. I would guess most the search and destroy actions would be complete in a couple more weeks. Then there is the nuclear facilities. Then getting a surrender and control of the terrorist support and use of cash to project power ... That could take another month or more. The last bits are TBD and largely up to the Iranian people.

So far we aren't doing all that much fighting. More like a normal range day for us civilians.

Mexico’s Navy Provided Weapons
to Terrorist Cartel Jalisco New Generation

Unknown individuals within Mexico’s Navy provided restricted weapons, tactical gear, and body armor to members of the terrorist organization Cartel Jalisco New Generation. The revelation comes from a former cartel hitman who revealed to authorities in April 2025 that he personally went to pick up stashed weapons for the criminal organization. The information is based on the written statements made by El Elegante, a code name given to a protected witness by Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office. Mexico’s Reforma first published some of El Elegante’s statements this week, revealing that the weapons and gear that cartel gunmen used would often come straight from Mexican Navy warehouses.

One of the many idiotic stunts Democrats pulled during the State of the Union address in late February was to proudly announce they were inviting illegal immigrants to President Trump's speech. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) called out three of them on X shortly before the event started: Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. John Hickenlooper (D-CO), and Rep. Seth Moulton (MA-06). Regarding Moulton's "guest," DHS wrote that "@RepMoulton plans to bring illegal alien Marcelo Gomes DaSilva. Gomes DaSilva is an illegal alien who has no right to be in our nation. We are committed to enforcing the law and

Foreign Policy magazine is a mouthpiece of the foreign policy establishment that has been wrong about nearly everything for many years. It emails its content daily; today’s featured article is “The Iran War Is Jeopardizing the Entire Global Economy.” Spoiler alert: the global economy is going to survive. So why does taking out the mullahs jeopardize the entire global economy? It is easy to see why it might help the global economy; freeing Iran’s 92 million people and allowing them to join the modern world would unquestionably give the global economy a shot in the arm. So why say that the world’s economy is threatened with destruction?

The New York Times sulkily refuses to give President Trump any credit for eliminating the power structure of an authoritarian, murderous Islamic regime working hard to build a nuclear weapon, one that’s bedeviled America, Israel, and the Western world by supporting terror attacks for over 40 years. The latest example of the paper’s petulance ran on Wednesday’s front page, a “news analysis” by Tyler Pager: “Initiating War Is Legacy Risk For President.” Pager got off to a dismal start, with a dense parade of Iran negatives. Imagine all of this sturm und drang over someone who may not even be vertical and respiratory. Ever since the death of Ali Khamenei in the opening seconds of the joint US-Israeli military action, Iran has technically been without a head of state. The Supreme Leader in Iran controls all policy and action, as well as commanding all of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. Ali Larijani and Masoud Pezeshkian can issue orders while hiding in hospital offices, but they do not have the perceived divine and theological authority that the top mullah has in these systems, and that authority is everything. Like most dictatorships, any vacuum

Yesterday there was some kind of major fault at the largest power station on the island, putting at least two-thirds of the country into darkness. Today, reports indicate the power is still off for about half the island and the best indications are that it could be several more days before repairs are completed. A blackout left millions of people without power in Havana and the rest of western Cuba on Wednesday in the latest outage on an island struggling with dwindling oil reserves and a crumbling electric grid. President Trump announced Thursday that Senator Markwayne Mullin (R., Okla.) will replace Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary. The announcement comes after Noem struggled to stand up to a public grilling by members of the Senate Judiciary Committee who pressed the former South Dakota governor on Tuesday about a $220 million ad campaign contract that was subcontracted to one of her longtime allies. Trump was furious at Noem for insisting during the hearing that he had personally approved the contract and began floating Mullin’s name as a potential replacement, National Review first reported early Thursday.

You’ll be sorry. That was the warning from Iran to the U.S. on Thursday as it responded to the torpedoing of an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, with a Muslim leader adding a call for “Trump’s blood.” As Breitbart News reported, the U.S. Navy sank the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena Tuesday night in the Indian Ocean which Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has since decried as “an atrocity at sea.” A U.S. nuclear-powered submarine delivered the fatal blow in international waters off Sri Lanka as part of Operation Epic Fury.

In the Twelve Day War, the Israelis understood that Iran's missile production had allowed the mullahs to conduct nearly unlimited ballistic warfare against them. Launchers were Tehran's vulnerability at that time – at least the one that the IDF could exploit with its own resources. Israel destroyed enough of them in June to slow down the massive barrages, although toward the end, more of the missiles leaked through their defenses. This time, however, Israel has an ally with much more firepower. Launchers became a point of vulnerability again, with the US and Israel focusing on the mobile launchers in the first waves of attack.

At times, you could be forgiven for having thought that Kristi Noem wanted to be a uniformed Department of Homeland Security officer rather than the secretary of the department. Now, the cabinet member most inclined to glamour shots out in the field is going to have to go back to wearing civilian clothes. For all his trademark firings during “The Apprentice” and the rapid turnover of his first term, President Trump has been loath to oust top officials this time around. Does being an European "ally" of America even mean anything anymore? That's a valid question after several NATO nations not only initially denied the use of their military bases during Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing attack on Iran, but also offered tacit support for the Islamic regime. Perhaps the most public betrayal came from Spain, whose left-wing prime minister claimed the United States was violating "international law."Given Spain's history over the last century or so, it wasn't exactly surprising that they'd take the side of Islamic fascists over the country that pays for their defense.
