Last Sunday, as a massive blizzard hit New York City, Comrade Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani posted praise of municipal workers on X: “Grateful for the public workers who keep NYC running — especially in a blizzard. From 5am suhoor with @NYCSanitation to visits to @nycparks’ Randall’s Island garage, DSNY’s Flushing plow shed & @nycdot’s salting operation … it’s working people who show up for NYC.” Mamdani included four photos, including one of him praying with four Muslim workers from the Department of Sanitation; suhoor is the meal that Muslims eat before dawn during Ramadan, as the fasting period begins with the rising of the sun.

As my RedState colleague Brad Slager documented, many mainstream media outlets rushed to report on how Shajarah Tayyebeh, a girls' elementary school in southern Iran, had been hit on Saturday, with unverified claims from Iranian officials that it was "bombed in broad daylight, when packed with young pupils" after the start of Operation Epic Fury.
Brad noted in his write-up that the suggestion/insinuation from these same Iranian regime officials that it was a deliberate "strike" on the school by the U.S. and Israel was not initially met with the appropriate amount of media skepticism from U.S.-based outlets that such claims warranted.

An Iranian-linked mosque in Manassas, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C., held a memorial service Sunday evening honoring Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, calling him "our leader" and sending "glad tidings on the martyrdom of His Eminence." A now-deleted post on Manassas Mosque's Instagram page detailed the Sunday evening service to honor the now-obliterated strongman they saw as their leader, noting a "potluck" meal would be take place before the commemoration. (X) Although the mosque has nuked that post after receiving some blowback in conservative media, their Telegram channel is still showing the above image, along with this message:

In one article, readers are warned that Colorado ski resorts face an uncertain future due to climate change, with “less reliable powder days” threatening the industry. Resorts must invest in snowmaking, diversify revenue streams, and brace for a warming planet.
Right beside it? A forecast of more than two feet of snow for Colorado’s mountain peaks.
Two feet. Apparently, the climate crisis is now capable of producing both the imminent demise of snow and an old-fashioned Rocky Mountain blizzard. Sometimes on the same page.
This is not satire. It’s modern climate journalism.

Wth brilliant intelligence and close U.S. and Israeli cooperation and coordination, Operation Epic fury is systematically dismantling the terrorist regime of Iran’s ayatollahs. And as if in a game of chess, the war has reshaped the Middle East, (a consistent source of hostilities), into a more peaceful and orderly part of the world. It has also demolished fears of Russian and Chinese intervention on behalf of the regime. (Russia’s too broke and China’s grasp is less than its reach.) Indeed China, which depended on Iran and Venezuelan oil, is unlikely to make good for a while if ever on its threats to occupy Taiwan.

I was raised to believe that democracy came with duties as well as rights. You voted. You accepted the outcome.
