The U.S. is a war addict. Throughout its over 240-year history, it has been at war for all but 16 years,” said a Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman at a press conference in Beijing in remarks spread by social media accounts linked to the Chinese government. The U.S. has 800 overseas military bases in over 80 countries and regions. The U.S. is the main cause of international disorder, global turbulence, and regional instability,” the spokesman said.
The state-controlled China Daily wrote an editorial on Saturday saying that American and Israeli action against Iran “ignores international law” and “follows a pattern of increasing belligerence.”

We’re overjoyed to see Scouting America, long known as the Boy Scouts of America, ditch the DEI policies it adopted amid the country’s post-2020 racial fever, as well as unwinding the dubious “pro-trans” approach it also felt obliged to undertake.
Kudos to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon for prompting the review, which we hope settles the matter permanently.
The left painted a bulls-eye on the Scouts years ago, aiming to browbeat a mainstay of wholesome American traditions into culture-war submission.
As at many another institution, the folks in charge tried to compromise, betting that enough goodwill would allow the group to continue its core mission.
They did not give ground on the oath:

Russia is responsible for the largest “systematic child abduction operation” since World War II, according to European Union Ambassador to the U.S. Jovita Neliupšiene.
“This is actually a civilization erasure, when you actually try to destroy the future of your neighboring country,” Neliupšiene says.
More than 20,000 children are estimated to have been abducted from Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion four years ago, according to the ambassador. Some of the older children who were taken are now being trained to fight for the Russian army, she explains on this week’s edition of “Problematic Women.”

The head of the National Institutes of Health is now at the helm of a sub-agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Jay Bhattacharya says President Trump personally asked him to take the CDC job temporarily until a permanent director can be named.
“It's hard to say ‘no’ to the president. What it means is that I will still be the director of the NIH. That's my main day job,” Bhattacharya told "Full Measure" in a recent interview at NIH headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.

Rodríguez used the words in the context of President Trump similarly referring to socialist Venezuela as a “new friend” of America’s following Maduro’s capture. Trump has repeatedly referred positively to Rodríguez, a hardline socialist who was among Maduro’s closest confidantes, as someone Washington could work with. He has also implied that Rodríguez is not actually in charge of the country, but carrying out orders from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, whom polling shows is the most popular politician in Venezuela.

The second Trump administration is very different from the first. As 45th president, Donald Trump was saddled with disloyal officials who constantly undermined his agenda. The Ukraine impeachment scandal, among other events, was the result of this internal subversion.
But the second term sets a new standard for loyalty. The administration will no longer tolerate rogue officials making their own policy. This was made clear last week when the administration pushed out Gail Slater, the Justice Department’s antitrust chief. Slater made a name for herself by going against administration policy and insisting on her personal priorities. While some misguided conservatives praised Slater as a “MAGA patriot,”

In an unsurprising reversal of its own stated principles, the United Nations elevated the Islamic Republic of Iran, the serial human-rights-abusing regime, by appointing it vice-chair to a body charged with overseeing the UN Charter.
The European Union failed to block the appointment, despite having previously acted to prevent Russia from holding certain international positions after it invaded Ukraine. European governments possess diplomatic leverage and experience in stopping controversial candidates, yet in this instance they chose silence.

The congresswoman at the center of Thursday’s wild closed-door testimony involving Crooked Hillary Clinton is not backing down from her Democratic haters, who are flipping out.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Hillary Clinton’s lawyers abruptly halted the Epstein deposition on Thursday after a photo of Hillary was leaked to conservative podcast host Benny Johnson.
The photo of Johnson was provided by Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO).
Clinton left the room over the leaked photo, and when she returned, she sparred with Chairman James Comer (R-KY).

Citizenship is not a technicality. It is not a loophole. It is not a prize slipped across a hospital bassinet because geography happened to cooperate. Citizenship is the highest legal bond between an individual and a sovereign nation.
If that bond means anything, it must mean allegiance. That is the principle at the center of President Donald J. Trump’s Executive Order 14160, signed on Jan. 20, 2025, titled Protecting the Meaning and Value of American Citizenship.
The order directs federal agencies not to recognize automatic citizenship for certain children born in the United States after Feb. 19, 2025. When the mother was unlawfully present, or present only temporarily,

Gavin Newsom, California’s golden-boy governor and likely 2028 White House hopeful, recently decided to “bond” with a black audience in Georgia.
Newsom proclaimed, “I’m not trying to impress you. I’m just trying to impress upon you, I’m like you. I’m no better than you. You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy. And I’m not trying to offend anyone, trying to act all there if you got 940. But literally, a 960 SAT guy. I cannot — you’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech. Maybe the wrong business to be in.”

The O’Keefe Media Group went undercover at CattleCon in Nashville, Tennessee, and exposed how Tyson, JBS, Cargill and National Beef secretly control America’s beef market.
In November, President Trump said cattle prices were falling while beef prices kept rising and launched an investigation into price manipulation.
Trump directed the DOJ to investigate the meat packing companies who are driving up the prices through illicit collusion, price fixing and price manipulation. The O’Keefe Media Group went undercover at CattleCon and ranchers spilled the beans on how the “Big Four” control the beef industry.

Los Angeles City Council members are poised to vote Tuesday on roughly $177 million in fast-tracked contracts, funneling taxpayer cash to a tight circle of powerful tenant-advocacy nonprofits — including groups that have repeatedly sued the city.
The package, championed by lefty mayoral hopeful Councilmember Nithya Raman, would lock in three-year deals financed largely by Measure ULA’s mansion-tax revenue. The money will primarily be used to run tenant eviction defense and homelessness-prevention programs.
