Washington — President Trump said Sunday that he is willing to speak with the new leadership in Iran following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the country's longtime leader, who was killed in Israeli airstrikes on Saturday. "They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them. They should have done it sooner. They should have given what was very practical and easy to do sooner. They waited too long," Mr. Trump told The Atlantic in a phone call on Sunday morning. A senior White House official said later in the day that the president will speak with the Iranians "eventually,"

Three US service members have been killed in action as part of US military operations against Iran, the US Central Command said in a statement on Sunday. These are the first confirmed deaths since the US began launching strikes against Iran on Saturday. Five additional personnel have been reported seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury, the US military said. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the three soldiers who were killed. While announcing the military action targeting Iran, Donald Trump cautioned that “the lives of American heroes may be lost, and we may have casualties. That often happens in war”. On Sunday, Israel and the US carried out another round

The artificial intelligence startup OpenAI announced Friday night that it has reached an agreement to deploy its technology at the Pentagon — while imposing the same kinds of ethical guardrails that have triggered the Trump administration to sever ties with the company’s archrival Anthropic. “Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network,” OpenAI CEO Sam Altman wrote on X, adding that the Defense Department “displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome.” Two of the most crucial safety principles for OpenAI are “prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use

Someone's lying. And in this case, I'd bet it's not the lawyer. Yesterday, Reuters reported that hidden files within the FBI revealed communications surveillance on now-FBI Director Kash Patel and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles in 2022-23. The "toll records" surveillance supposedly came as part of the Department of Justice probes into Donald Trump's alleged mishandling of classified material at Mar-a-Lago and the January 6 riot. Neither Patel nor Wiles played a role in either, however, although both had begun working for Trump's nascent presidential campaign during that same period. This alone raises significant questions about the nature of Merrick Garland's DoJ and Jack Smith's actions

President Donald Trump suggested on Friday a possible “friendly takeover” of Cuba, adding that the country is in a “big deal of trouble” economically. “They have no money. They have no anything right now,” Trump told reporters outside the White House. “Maybe we’ll have a friendly takeover of Cuba.” Trump’s remarks hinted at a softening of the U.S. approach to Cuba. Instead of harsh forecasts about regime change, top Trump aides have lately emphasized first having economic reforms in Cuba. This comes as Secretary of State Marco Rubio has engaged in conversations with Cuban representatives about the future of the island country.

The Loudoun County School Board has reached a settlement with two male students who were suspended after they expressed discomfort with the presence of a girl in their locker room. In March, a female student at Stone Bridge High School recorded a group of boys in the men’s locker room asking why a girl was allowed to use the boys’ locker room. The female student identifies as a boy. Although recording in locker rooms is against district policy, the district opened a Title IX investigation into the three boys and accused them of sexual harassment and sex-based discrimination.

That is what is to be inferred from Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon’s comments in the video clip below: “It’s a truism of immigration law that if you commit fraud in the course of obtaining your citizenship…if you lie about your marriage status on which your citizenship depends or you’re familial status or what have you, if you fake any of those documents or you lie that’s a grounds for denaturalization and so I think it’s been credibly alleged that there are serious questions about the circumstances

On Wednesday, FBI Director Kash Patel made the bombshell revelation that the Federal Bureau of Investigation spied on both him and now-White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles in 2022 and 2023. Former President Joe Biden occupied the Oval Office at the time, and Patel and Wiles were both private citizens. It was all part of the mission by Biden, his crusading Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Garland’s attack dog, former Special Counsel Jack Smith, to “get” Trump at any cost. Ten agents were reportedly fired in the aftermath of the discovery, and more could soon be on their way out as well.

The latest statewide survey, conducted Feb. 2 through Feb. 16 among likely Democrat primary voters, shows the Dallas congresswoman expanding her edge over state Rep. James Talarico. Early voting began Feb. 17 and runs through Feb. 27 ahead of the March primary, which means this shift is happening while ballots are being cast. “Crockett leads Talarico 56 percent to 44 percent among likely Democratic primary voters statewide.”

President Trump's decision to launch a war against Iran without congressional signoff has splintered lawmakers, largely along party lines, and supercharged the debate over war powers authority. While most Republicans largely rallied around Trump’s decision to carry out the massive joint attack with Israel, Democrats quickly denounced the attack as an illegal “war of choice” and demanded Congress come back to Washington to take a vote on whether to authorize another Middle East invasion. Democratic leaders have vowed to forge ahead with their plans to force a vote on a war powers resolution next week in the House that would block Trump from carrying out additional strikes.

Security Council on Saturday that everything must be done to prevent further escalation. “The alternative,” he warned, “is a potential wider conflict with grave consequences for civilians and regional stability.” Guterres said the U.S. and Israeli airstrikes violated international law, including the U.N. Americans woke up Saturday to something big. The United States and Israel launched a massive joint offensive against Iran’s regime, known as Operation Epic Fury. According to reports, targets included Iran’s supreme leader and president. Major combat operations are now underway, and the implications are global. Predictably, Democrats in Washington and even some Republicans are questioning the strikes. But let’s be honest — this moment was long overdue. Iran’s reign of terror didn’t start yesterday. In fact, this confrontation is the direct result of the Obama administration’s disastrous decision a decade ago to appease, enrich, and embolden Tehran. Iran then launched missiles towards Israel in a retaliatory attack as officials claimed the response would be “crushing.”
