Who Cares If Democrats Boycott Trump’s SOTU?

A few days ago, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) gave America some very welcome news. During a press conference he said that his Democratic members had two choices with regard to President Trump‘s upcoming State of the Union address: “The two options that are in front of us, in our house, is either attend with silent defiance, or to not attend.” This will definitely be a win-win for everyone who tunes in Tuesday evening to hear what the President has to say about his first-year accomplishments and future plans for the country.

So it's a GOOD thing the Dems, and their usually flock of guests have chosen to give up their seats, When everyone else will be basking in the warmth of "Victory" they will be gathered out on the streets...in a blizzard. https://www.facebook.com/reel/930188072921995

"Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), made much of his choice of Spanberger last week: “She knows Americans want lower costs, safer communities, and a stronger democracy — not chaos and corruption. Gov. Spanberger will lay out a clear path forward: lower everyday costs, protect healthcare, and defend the freedoms that define who we are as a nation.”" Chuckie put together a reasonable list of the wants of Americans. The problem for the dems is that they and their policies deliver NONE of it. Instead, THEY deliver the "chaos and corruption". After Trump was reelected, I was curious as to how the dems would respond to their shattering loss. They have presented themselves as evil clowns. The hard Leftists jumped ugly and the Leftists as a whole beclowned themselves with pink outfits, ping pong paddles, failure after failure of attack memes, and exposure of gross corruption going back decades. "Who cares?" what they do is a good measure at this point. Unfortunately, we need to spend some time responding to their idiocy just to keep them penned in but it has become annoying to have to deal with the idiots at all. I am left asking myself how such of group of incompetent buffoons managed to hold power and make such a mess of the country? The answer is that the "Mike Pence" Republican party that existed before Trump wasn't a lot better. With MAGA, Trump created a NEW party and borrowed the Republican label while he transformed it from the inside out. The results have been amazing and the hatred of the dems at the sweeping away of their mess and corruption is proof that we are on the right path.

Trump needs to point out the empty seats in the Congress during his speech. He needs to remind everyone that those are Democrat seats that are empty. They are empty because Democrats don't really care about the state of the union. They are more concerned with regaining and maintaining power to control and manipulate the American people. They want things their way or no way as demonstrated by multiple government shutdowns over petty issues. Democrats care about Democrats. Not you!

Here is my advice... but I do not expect this to actually happen... Make this SOTU 100% about the nation and 0% about Trump. That way, the cleverly concealed message will be that democrats boycotted the nation... NOT Trump. It will not go down that way because, despite his business prowess and ability to get things done, Trump is motivated mostly by being a success - a PERSONAL success. But this would be my wish.

He should have a note card that indicates which Rep invited X persons so if one of those persons decides to disrupt the SOTU address, he can call them out directly as the person who invited X person. He should also point out that Sen. Schiff decided to not attend presumably as he's trying to find that overwhelming evidence he claimed to have - maybe he's like OJ who said he was looking for the killer. I would hope he is simple, concise and to the point - "Listen, I just simply want to actually fix the thing so many have been complaining about for decades". People have talked about XY and Z, but never intend to fix the problem, they simply end up creating a bigger government program which needs more of your tax dollars without anything getting better. Government needs to be accountable, produce results, needs to remove redundancies and improve efficiencies.

More disclosure of their juvenile antics might help to push more to move to the Republican side. The evening of April 21 there were a lot of smiles to be seen on the faces of Virginia Democrats. The voters of the Old Dominion had gone to the polls and approved an amendment to the Commonwealth’s constitution allowing a radically redistricted congressional map. No one was happier than Virginia’s new Democrat Governor, Abigail Spanberger, who had reversed her position on partisan gerrymandering to dramatically increase her party’s power in Congress. Like her Democrat accomplices (snip) she assumed that the challenges to the amendment under consideration by Virginia’s Supreme Court (SCOVA) would immediately collapse once “the people had spoken.”

If the title of this column seems to exaggerate the potential impact of last week’s Supreme Court ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, it’s probably because most political pundits have focused on its effect below the Mason-Dixon Line. But the majority-minority congressional districts that will need to be altered pursuant to the Court’s ruling are far more pervasive than most realize. Ballotpedia, using data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2024 American Community Survey, estimates that these racially gerrymandered districts account for 148 seats in the House of Representatives. This is about one third of the House’s 435 districts.

During a press conference held shortly after an armed gunman ran through a security barrier at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with the obvious intention of shooting President Trump and other members of his administration, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked this question: “Respectfully, why do you think this keeps happening to you?” Trump answered, “The people who do the most, the people who have the biggest impact, they’re the ones that they go after.” And by “they,” Trump meant Democrats. He has, for obvious reasons, studied presidential assassinations and knows that all but one of the victims were Republicans.

A great deal of national news coverage concerning Virginia has focused on the attempt by its new Democratic governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her confederates in the General Assembly to circumvent the commonwealth’s constitution in order to radically gerrymander the state’s congressional district map. This maneuver has, however, overshadowed another of their equally dubious legislative actions. A bill proposing that Virginia join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) passed both houses of the General Assembly in February, and Gov. Spanberger signed it into law on April 13.

Virginia’s redistricting referendum is not going as well as the Democrats evidently expected. The official date of the special election is April 21 but early voting began on March 6, and the number of ballots cast in heavily Republican areas of the state has been far higher than in their Democratic counterparts. The Old Dominion doesn’t register voters by party, but the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) publishes early vote totals by congressional district. (snip) Thus far, of the 676,502 Virginians who have voted, 55 percent cast their ballots in the five districts held by Republicans.

It’s becoming increasingly obvious that, despite a 53-47 Republican majority, the U.S. Senate is a graveyard for President Trump’s agenda. This is largely the fault of Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-S.D.), who has never been a strong supporter of the President. Despite this, most Republicans hoped that Thune would work to advance Trump’s priorities, particularly after his decisive 2024 victory provided the momentum for the GOP to retake the Senate. But Thune’s refusal to get the SAVE America Act passed and his surrender to the Democrats on DHS funding — without additional money for ICE or CPB — dashed any hope.

It’s blindingly obvious that Senate Majority Leader John Thune would much rather have Sen. But Cornyn’s failure to capture anywhere near 50 percent of last week’s primary vote, plus the prospect of an ugly and expensive runoff, doesn’t bode well for his future. Despite the far left and genuinely weird Democrat nominee, James Talarico, Cornyn’s unpopularity may reduce GOP turnout in the general election enough to cause his Senate seat to flip blue.

It was hardly necessary to consult Nostradamus to predict that the Democrats, who profess to abhor oppressive authoritarian theocracies, would denounce President Trump’s decision to topple the government of Iran — the very definition of such a regime. Nor was it a surprise that they downplay or simply ignore the obvious elation with which the Iranians themselves greeted the long overdue demise of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
