Taking the Bleak Pill and the Path That Follows

Today I’m going to give you a pill. It’s not the red one or the blue one. It may look like the black one, but it’s not saying ‘give up’. Welcome to the Bleak Pill. The Bleak Pill tells you that things are very, very bad and that despite Trump being President, despite the UN being in financial trouble, and despite some notable successes we are still losing. Most particularly, we are losing in the sense that the capacity of the other side to commit crimes and encourage evil, but worse their capacity to make more and more people support evil, isn’t reducing. It’s increasing.

Comments:

He's right. Trump has been spectacularly successful in some things, but he is not paying enough attention to the real chance of civil war (and several other things), as the left gains power. He doesn't seem in control of either foreign policy or domestic policy.

Pretty much sums it up for me, especially the last sentence, because that's what it's going to take. Start in the streets. The left assumes that it owns them, and the violence option, because historically it has. We've allowed it. When that changes, and it's going to....

Come on, man. PDJT 2.0 is only working 20 hours a day. I don’t know how many irons he had in the fire. We have to do our part, too. Not just posting and commenting on articles like these. Also, he’s fighting the agitprop media who amplify leftist propaganda; theirs as well other DemoRoids’. There was rising rhetoric on both sides before the American Civil War but it didn’t start until Southern DemoRoids fired on Ft. Sumpter. I don’t think PDJT wants to start the Civil War that the left wants. We’ll have the high ground if they fire the (figurative, I hope) first shot.

The criminal activity of the left is increasing --- because the DOJ and the GOP Congress has not lifted a finger to stop it. Trump works 365/24/7 and has had no help. The DOJ can't seem to get anything done. The GOP Congress apparently has 6 months PTO each year, and is unwilling to take any steps to get anything done, allowing the Democrats to run the Congress from the minority position.

Oh, I don't know so much about this. The liberals are getting louder, the woke are getting crazier, the media is getting more and more irate and telling bigger and bigger lies, the protesters are getting more violent - sounds to me like Trump is doing a great job. Otherwise we wouldn't know these freaks even exist. He's one man and can only do so much and he has done a lot so far. Til further notice, I trust him and what he's doing. Good job, Mr. President.

If Trump can't get a decent replacement for Swamp Rat Bondi, the limits of MAGA success will be small and short-lived. Our "loyal opposition" is neither loyal or simply opposing us. They are in a full out, gloves off, blood-letting war footing against America.

When your enemy is down, that's a really good time to kick him in the head. And right now, the Iranian mullahs are down. Israel took out their air and cyber defense systems. We took out their nuke program. Their economy is collapsing thanks to President Trump's sanctions; there are no more pallets of cash coming with a nice note from Ben Rhodes. Absurdistan is avoiding the CCP/Marxist-planned and led, plutocrat-funded revolution on the streets of America this week, to celebrate the entire freaking planet dodging the biggest bullet ever headed towards humanity since The Flood. The bullet launched against us over the past two decades was a murderous, genocidal, economic catastrophe based on crap science which anyone, given an ounce of integrity, could refute. They- and by they, I mean the WEFers - launched a world-wide suppression of innovation, of creativity, of production and growth, of health-giving, family forming child-birthing activity. Then they tried to cull us. Like we were cattle.

Ami Horowitz, who is a documentary filmaker and conservative activist, recently went undercover in Minnesota to conduct a social experiment on whether leftists would contribute money to buy weapons to kill law enforcement officers. He came up with this: (video) It's shocking. But people are starting to take notice of what is happening in this country and around the world. There is a growing conflict between the pro-liberty individualism of the right and the anti-liberty collectivism of the left, with their red/green alliance with Islamists. Between good and evil.

A Somali lawmaker described to the Daily Caller how his government functions as a “fraud pipeline,” siphoning U.S. tax dollars from foreign aid, health care and day care into one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the world. Dr. Abdillahi Hashi Abib, a sitting member of the Somali Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of the People, told the Caller the corruption surfacing in Minnesota and across the United States did not emerge spontaneously, but is a downstream consequence of Somalia’s deeply entrenched system of corruption. (Snip) Abib asserted that despite repeated efforts to share the data with U.S. agencies, he has been ignored as the problem

Australia’s new social media age-limit law, which set the minimum age for opening or maintaining a social media account to 16. The second-biggest news? As Australia’s law went into effect, there was a global chorus of parents, journalists, and political leaders who stood up, applauded the bold move, and asked, “Can we do that, too?” Bloomberg, in an article titled “TikTok, Instagram Ban for Australian Kids Heralds Global Curbs,” provides a list of countries in which legislation has been, or soon will be, introduced:(Snip) The idea is spreading, and each nation considering such a policy should ask two important questions:

"Can a man who’s warm understand one who’s freezing?" — Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn If you want to see the true meaning behind Zohran Mamdani’s phrase “the warmth of collectivism,” take a look at that photo above, taken at one of the Soviet gulag work camps. The cold was unbearable, but the zeks — the inmates — bore it, until it killed some of them. Someone said on X yesterday that “the warmth of collectivism” was inscribed on a sign over the entrance to the gulag at Kolyma, in the Russian far north, but I can’t find any evidence that that is true. It might as well

In The Mandalorian series, which was pretty good when Gina Carano was in it and the only Star Wars spin off I managed to really get into (it helped that Pedro Pascal was just a suit of armour) The Mandalorian has a repeated catch phrase that sums up the ethos of his people: This is the Way. It means there’s a right way of doing things, an honourable way of doing things, a right and competent way of doing things. The measure of a people is found in the degree to which they apply a code and the strength they show in holding to it.

A history professor who has taught at Harvard for 40 years is publicly calling out the Ivy League school over race-based hiring and admissions policies, a “shocking indifference” to antisemitism, and for its eroding commitment to teaching students about Western history. James Hankins wrote in a Compact Magazine essay titled “Why I’m Leaving Harvard” that his decision was largely influenced by the school’s abandonment of merit in favor of diversity quotas, which he said entirely changed “the way we conducted our affairs,” leaving extraordinary candidates behind if they did not have Harvard’s desired skin color or gender.

The Benicia refinery began shutting down on Saturday, four months earlier than planned, a former Valero manager told the California Globe Tuesday. Thermal imaging showed the facility went cold as the Crimson Pipeline – which transports crude oil from Southern to Northern California – was also taken offline. “We are in an unprecedented oil crisis,” oil expert Mike Ariza told the publication. Valero Energy Corp. announced its plans last spring to pull the plug on its 145,000-barrel-per-day refinery by April,

Traditionally, New York City mayors are supposed to visit injured police officers in the hospital, but Mamdani being such a historical figure is instead visiting a man who tried to stab a police officer in the hospital. Mamdani visited the attempted stabber in the hospital using him as the poster stabber for his police defunding campaign. “This situation underscores just how urgently we need a different and more effective mental health response system,” Mamdani argued. “Jabez needs mental health treatment, not criminal prosecution by a district attorney.”
