Seattle's new socialist mayor pledged to 'stand with Somali health childcare providers' as she took a shot at Donald Trump during her inauguration.
Katie Wilson, 43, has drawn scrutiny for openly taking money from her parents to fund her life, and for her so-called 'communist' plans to remake the Emerald City.
In her first major speech in office, she acknowledged Trump's criticism of her campaign.
'I've been noticed by the president of the United States, who called me a "very, very liberal/communist mayor." It's nice to feel seen,' she said to laughs from the crowd.
Wilson has also taken shots at Trump and the Republican Party for going after

Two Space Force officers lost their home and their family cat in what appears to be a targeted attack just days after Christmas.
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller, Major Jason “Red” Mills detailed how his house had been burglarized and lit on fire, and his had been vandalized. While he, his wife and his ten-month-old daughter were celebrating Christmas in Florida, Mills awoke to a 5 a.m. phone call on Dec. 28 from the D.C. police notifying him that his house had been set on fire. He later learned that his car had also been ransacked and vandalized with messages reading:

The discovery might have been uniforms, but the theories about it are all over the map.
New York City police are investigating just how a box full of NYPD blues showed up abandoned this week near a cemetery in Brooklyn, according to the New York Daily News.
The fact that it occurred only days before the infamously anti-police Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani was sworn in only added fuel to the fire. According to the newspaper, the box was reported by a 911 caller about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Video posted to social media showed police officers combing through the clothing, which was eventually moved to the 66th Precinct station for safety,

Somali operators of daycare centers and other social services receiving tax dollars, many fraudulently, are also donating shares of their looted funds to the Democratic Party, say citizen journalists, and others.
The New York Post, for instance, found that Minnesota Democrats were the happy recipients of $50,000 in campaign donations from many of the now convicted felons who ran the Somalian Feeding Our Future organization that stole some $250 million in Minnesota welfare funding.
For another example, X user Cam Higby looked at some of the numbers in Washington State and found that 80 percent of all donations made by people listing “childcare” as their occupation had donated to Somali Port of

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin is hitting the brakes on $2.3 billion left in spending from the Biden administration’s electric school bus program — following backlash over New York Gov. Kathy Hochul’s mandate and as the vehicles have been breaking down in the cold and failing to be produced in a timely manner to districts.
Zeldin made the decision to review the taxpayer-funded program after $2.7 billion was already “frivolously wasted” under former President Joe Biden on thousands of electric buses, according to an agency spokesperson, working out to a price tag of roughly $318,452.45 per vehicle to produce. In New York City, for example, more than $61 million

While Ohio taxpayers are being told to accept daycare fraud as merely “the cost of doing business,” a stunning new report has surfaced that raises serious questions about who has been operating inside the state’s taxpayer-funded welfare ecosystem and how far those connections now extend onto the global stage.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, RINO Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s office has brushed off mounting concerns over potential large-scale fraud in taxpayer-funded daycare centers—particularly in Columbus, home to the second-largest Somali population in the United States—as merely “the cost of doing business,” even after two independent journalists uncovered disturbing evidence of potential ghost daycare operations in Columbus, Ohio.

Thursday on CNN’s “The Lead,” network medical analyst Jonathan Reiner said he was very concerned the public is not being told “anything meaningful” about President Donald Trump’s health issues.
Host Phil Mattingly said, “Just last month, you said you were seriously concerned about the president’s health. What’s your level of concern after hearing from the president? He says he’s in perfect health.”
Reiner said, “Well, I’m mostly concerned that the public really hasn’t been told essentially anything meaningful about the president’s health here. So let’s turn the clock back and look what’s gone on over the last nine months. The president had a physical exam, a comprehensive physical exam

When Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer announced his run for U.S. Congress, it was not met with excitement across the city he governs. For many residents, Singer’s entry into national politics feels less like an elevation and more like an escape – an attempt to rebrand a local record that has left South Florida voters deeply frustrated and scornful.
While Singer labels himself an “America First” Republican, his actions tell a very different story, including endorsing Jeb Bush for President over Donald Trump for the 2016 Presidential Primary, saying Bush was not “running on anger.” In Boca Raton, Singer has earned a reputation not as a conservative leader, but as

A top Democrat lawmaker's wife appeared unable to hide her disdain as New York City swore in its new socialist mayor, who has vowed to enact hardline policies. Iris Weinshall, 72, seemed to scowl while Zohran Mamdani was inaugurated in Bryant Park on Thursday afternoon - although she may also have been suffering the effects of the freezing January weather. Weinshall, the wife of New York Senator Chuck Schumer, was sitting next to Eric Adams, who served as NYC's mayor until yesterday. Weinshall, Schumer and Adams all share the same political party as Mamdani, but Schumer and Adams have been outspoken on the new man's views on Israel.

The U.S. Postal Service has updated its rules to clarify that postmarks may not match the date mail was deposited, a shift stemming from network overhauls that could complicate deadlines for tax filings, ballots, and legal documents.
The change, which became effective on December 24, adds a new section to the Domestic Mail Manual stating that “… while the presence of a postmark on a mailpiece confirms that the Postal Service was in possession of the mailpiece on the date of the postmark’s inscription, the postmark date does not inherently or necessarily align with the date on which the Postal Service first accepted possession of the mailpiece.”

Democratic Virginia Governor-elect Abigail Spanberger has appointed a chief diversity officer who previously appeared to agree with comments about parts of the U.S. Constitution needing to be dismantled.
Spanberger announced the appointment of Dr. Sesha Joi Moon to serve as the Commonwealth of Virginia’s chief diversity officer and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) on Tuesday, saying in a statement that Moon’s “experience across government, education, and the nonprofit sectors gives her firsthand insight into the ways in which we can build a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Virginia for every family.” However, during part of an August 2024 appearance on Raben’s “The Ask” podcast, Moon appeared to agree

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is still fighting Jan. 6 as if it’s happening in real time, and in doing so he’s advertising how little Democrats have to say about the country as it exists today.
Nearly five years after the Capitol incursion — after arrests, prosecutions, convictions, congressional investigations, and nonstop media saturation — Jeffries’ answer to inflation, crime, housing costs, and national decline is yet another bit of planned theatrics about a settled historical event. When “leaders” have no solutions, they’re forced to recycle outrage, and that’s exactly what Jeffries’ latest stunt is.
Jeffries’ “Dear Colleague” letter isn’t a roadmap for governing; it’s a political security blanket.
