Trump Expands Tough ‘Travel Ban,’
Progressives Are Weirdly Quiet

President Donald Trump has expanded his regulatory curbs on migration to 39 countries, and the new rules could slash the inflow of Islamic migrants by 40 percent, according to the pro-migration Cato Institute. Yet pro-migration advocates have been almost silent about the dramatic new rules, even though they staged frenzied 2017 protests against a “Muslim travel ban” when Trump imposed softer curbs in his first year in office. For example, the National Immigration Law Center issued a mere three-sentence condemnation when the new rules were first announced. The progressive passivity is notable, said Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies. “No question, and [the 2026 rule] is much broader too,”

FTA: "Trump’s upgraded and expanded 2026 rule even blocks the spouses and kids of legalized migrants. The silence is dramatic and important because it shows how far Trump and his voters have successfully shifted the national debate over legal and illegal migration since he was first elected in 2016."

I'm with #2 and #4. "the new rules COULD slash the inflow of Islamic migrants by 40 percent" should read "the new rules WILL slash the inflow of Islamic migrants by 100 percent". Winston Churchill had it right, many years ago: "Islam in a man is like rabies in a dog."

Foreign ATM? Somali cash exodus from Minneapolis

The cash moved overseas in luggage by Somali couriers from the Minneapolis airport was 10 to 100 times larger than the total foreign exodus of money at other larger American airports the last two years, officials tell Just the News. Homeland Security Department officials said the statistics they have gathered in recent weeks show the movement of cash out of Minnesota was substantially abnormal and should have raised red flags during the Biden administration, long before the Trump administration began investigating it as part of a major fraud scheme that stole billions from taxpayers in the state.

Minnesota attorney general Keith Ellison (D.) is reportedly considering a run for governor following Tim Walz’s (D.) exit from the race amid a sprawling Somali welfare fraud scheme that happened under his watch. A person familiar with Ellison’s thinking told the Star Tribune that the left-wing prosecutor is weighing a gubernatorial bid. In the wake of Walz’s decision to end his campaign, Ellison called Walz a "remarkable leader" who left a "legacy to be damn proud of." Ellison’s interest in the race comes as he faces mounting scrutiny over his own handling of the Somali welfare fraud scandal.

House appropriators plan to strike Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s $1 million earmark for a Somali-led organization from the lower chamber’s funding package Wednesday, as the presence of the carveout threatened to tank the shutdown-preventing bill. Omar’s earmark was for Generation Hope’s “Justice Empowerment Initiative” in her district and was tucked into the Commerce, Science, and Justice minibus, which will provide funding for the Commerce, Energy, Interior, and Justice departments, in addition to other related agencies. Republican Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole, who chairs the Appropriations Committee, told reporters he cannot allow one member’s project to derail a carefully negotiated full-year funding bill with the Jan. 30 funding deadline fast approaching.

“Jeopardy!” host Ken Jennings appeared to take a swipe at President Donald Trump and his administration, saying he’d support a candidate who vows to prosecute the current “regime.” Jennings took to the liberal social media platform Bluesky Wednesday during a news cycle dominated by the ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis. “The ‘prosecute the former regime at every level’ candidate has my vote in 2028,” Jennings wrote. On Tuesday, he appeared to knock Trump’s policy on Venezuela, writing on Bluesky, “America is always like ‘ok but the NEXT regime change will work,’ like when I ‘cut out carbs’ briefly every January.”

The Somali-dominated Democratic political machine in Minnesota successfully silenced hundreds of government experts who tracked the huge flow of taxpayer funds through Somali-run businesses, a top Minnesota Republican told a House hearing on Wednesday. Up to 1,000 government auditors, accountants, and program managers were silenced by Democratic threats, Minnesota House Rep. Marion Rarick told a House hearing: The most severe ones was that they would be fired with cause so they couldn’t have unemployment insurance, that they would be blacklisted from all state agencies… [including] Hennepin County, Ramsey County. As you know, those are Democrat-run. Many government experts, non-government professionals, and Republicans detected many of the frauds, but their voices were muffled

Federal officials have begun investigating the long-ignored shipping of at least $700 million in U.S. cash by Somalis in air travel luggage out of Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport. Witnesses say that the cash was legally flown out to Somalia and other countries and that TSA routinely flagged the money to their superiors. The cash, in bundles of $1 million or more, were packed in passenger luggage and shown to airport security officials by migrants flying back to Somalia-area airports, as well as other African countries and places in the Middle East. Biden’s officials did not try to investigate any of these massive cash transfers during his term in office.

YouTuber Nick Shirley released a video Monday alleging that Minnesota’s medical transport system is riddled with fraud. In December, Shirley posted video showing several purported Somali-run daycare centers in Minnesota — including one that reportedly received $4 million in taxpayer funds — with no children present on site. In a video posted on his channel, Shirley said his yearlong review identified roughly 1,200 medical transportation outfits operating across the state. This was an investigation he conducted together with David, who he says played an important role in helping to expose large-scale fraud in Minnesota. Shirley says David contributed research, documentation, and firsthand insight. “And so to have that many non-emergency medical transportation

Dramatic video purportedly shows the moment an ICE agent opened fire and killed a 37-year-old woman who attempted to barrel her SUV into the officer’s path in Minneapolis Wednesday morning — as the mayor furiously demanded the agency “get the f–k out” of the city. In the footage being widely circulated on social media from varying angles, ICE officers approach a plum-colored Honda Pilot and order the driver out of the vehicle after she blocked the path of their truck. As one of the agents attempts to open the door, she quickly throws the car into reverse before trying to speed forward in the direction of another agent in her path.

In a private online support group leaked exclusively to the Daily Mail, one service member raged against the double standard, writing: 'You mean your guys can't focus on the mission without trying to stick it in... not my problem.'

President Donald Trump on Wednesday signed a presidential memorandum directing the U.S. to withdraw from 66 international organizations, ordering executive departments and agencies to cease participation in and funding of entities the administration says no longer serve U.S. interests. The memorandum follows a State Department review ordered earlier this year under Executive Order 14199 and applies to 35 non-United Nations organizations and 31 United Nations entities, according to the White House. In the memorandum, Trump said he reviewed Secretary Rubio's findings and determined it is "contrary to the interests of the U.S. to remain a member of, participate in, or otherwise provide support" to the listed organizations.
