At the ripe old age of 103, Ken Hartle had lost count of how many times he’d cheated death. Hartle was fond of retelling many of these tales; he could recount surviving rattlesnake bites and scorpion stings, sailing accidents, car crashes, multiple broken bones, colon and prostate cancer, and sextuple cardiac bypass surgery.
There was, however, one memory he avoided sharing—his harrowing diving missions to retrieve the bodies of the fallen sailors at Pearl Harbor.

COTONOU - Benin President Patrice Talon said on Sunday that the West African nation's government and armed forces had thwarted a coup attempt by a group of soldiers and vowed to punish them.
Talon's announcement on Sunday evening came about 12 hours after gunfire first rang out in several neighbourhoods of Cotonou, the country's biggest city and commercial hub, and soldiers went on state television to say they had removed Talon from power. Forces loyal to Talon "stood firm, recaptured our positions, and cleared the last pockets of resistance held by the mutineers," Talon said in his own televised statement.

One propagandist tactic used by the left after mass shootings, particularly when the shooter is not part of a protected class, is to focus on “gun violence” while advocating for gun control and confiscation. The left uses the exact same tactic after every major weather event. It blames a destructive hurricane or the flood on “climate change,” and just like it does with gun control, it lobbies to take away more of your freedoms.
The one thing the left never does is amplify good news about issues like “climate change” when it exists, because doing so would undermine their real campaign: taking away your human and Constitutional rights.

The Department of Health and Human Services has altered the name on the official portrait of Rachel Levine.
Levine, who served for years as Joe Biden’s assistant secretary for health, is a transgender woman who has long been the subject of mockery for his somewhat unconvincing gender transition.
The 68-year-old, who is a biological male, has had his portrait displayed in the hallway since he was confirmed to the position in 2021.
The portrait remains in situ, although NPR is now reporting that its name has been altered to Richard Levine.
The change was reportedly confirmed by a spokesperson for the agency. Adrian Shanker, who worked as a former deputy assistant secretary

Here is a question you can ask the Google AI: "Can the Associated Press editorialize?" And here is the answer you will get: "No, the Associated Press (AP) strives for factual nonpartisan reporting and prohibits its journalists from editorializing or expressing personal opinions in their news coverage; their core mission is to provide objective news, but they face scrutiny and debate over potential biases, requiring consumers and member editors to remain vigilant for bias and clearly identify third party contributions." That's some remarkably unintelligent artificial intelligence.

Via White House – “On December 7, 1941, a peaceful Sunday morning on the Hawaiian island of Oahu was shattered by an unprovoked attack by the naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan on the United States Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor and the aircraft and hangars at Kaneohe, Ford Island, Barbers Point, and Hickam Field. The surprise offensive claimed the lives of 2,403 American service members and civilians and propelled our Nation into the Second World War.
The Japanese mission was designed to cripple our military assets and obliterate the American spirit, but instead, the fatal attacks rallied our shattered citizenry and fueled our resolve. Young men

The pampered class is whining hysterically about Trump calling Ilhan Omar and her 80,000 Somalis in Minnesota “garbage.” Remember when Joe Biden called Trump and his supporters “garbage?” Well, that was different, of course, because … reasons. Hitler. Fascist. Russia collusion. January 6. Argh!
Given the extraordinary accomplishments of Trump in the first 10 months of his second term, I find it remarkable that the anti-Trump hysteria has not ended. If anything, the volume has been notched up to 11. But here’s a prediction for the time capsule. In the fullness of time, which I reckon will be sometime in J.D. Vance’s first term,

Nuts to that.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom was roasted online for his bizarre AI-created reaction to being called out by The Post for sitting in a testicle-crushing pose during an interview.
Newsom’s press office took to X Friday to try and deflect from the many masculinity-mocking pol-watchers with a doctored image of the governor in an even more compromising yoga-style pose on stage at The New York Times Dealbook Summit.
“Democracy requires flexibility,” the tone-deaf Governor Newsom Press Office wrote in a caption to the post. The strange attempt at humor fell flat with X-users who were aghast at the extra eyeful of Gavin.

In a post on X, Dr. Oz claimed more than $1 billion had been stolen through a massive Medicaid fraud scheme carried out by "bad actors" within Minnesota’s Somali community, alleging some of the funds "may have even made its way to the Somalian terrorist group (al-Shabab)."

The left beclowns itself again and again
It is actually rather sad … the Democrats keep trying out new narratives every couple of days.
This week, it is the blowing up of narcoterrorist boats.
This is a bad thing, they say.
Cocaine from Venezuela has killed tens of thousands of Americans, but the Democrats are mad that our fabulous military is taking them off the map.
Never mind that Venezuela has been shipping drugs to the U.S. and rigging elections around the world for decades. A few weeks ago, the Dems' hair was on fire over the Jeffrey Epstein documents they were demanding be released.

For years, Americans were spoon-fed a very specific Netflix-style fictional story about January 6. The villains were already cast. White Trump supporters! The conclusion was already written. Insurrection! And anyone who noticed parts of the story didn’t add up was called a terrorist and a traitor and totally dismissed. (snip)Back in March 2021, Revolver took a hard look at that detail. The pipe bomber was allegedly some disgruntled MAGA extremist, yet he was rocking rare Nike Air Max Speed Turfs that cost hundreds of dollars and are deeply tied to sneaker culture, basketball culture, and urban street culture.

MacArthur Park has erupted into LA’s fentanyl ground zero — a collapsing, chaos-soaked war zone where overdoses hit by the hour, people die daily, crime crews corner the market — and what used to be a neighborhood park now teeters on the brink of total collapse.
The park, the largest green space in the district, now hosts an unknown number of unhoused people, though on most days it’s fair to estimate the population in the hundreds.
MacArthur’s unofficial “residents” are made comfortable by groups handing out food and even free crack pipes as part of “safe smoking” kits — with tens of millions of dollars coming from the city

Chicago Public Schools allows students to receive excused absences if they or their family members are concerned about Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids in the city.
The government school district has a document, entitled “Attendance Coding for Safety Concerns Related to Federal Representative Activity,” that says parents can convey a fear of federal immigration authorities in order to mark their children “excused.”
The document was obtained by Defending Education, according to a report from Fox News. “If a parent/guardian reports an absence and attributes it to fear of federal representative-related procedures, schools CAN excuse the absence under ‘concern for student health and safety,'” the policy reads,

Texas law enforcement officers working through Gov. Greg Abbott’s border security mission, Operation Lone Star, continue to apprehend illegal border crossers, tracking them through brush, rugged terrain and on barren ranchland.
Integral to their efforts are four-legged team members with paws and hooves who graduated from new classes or celebrated a new year of service this November.
Texas Department of Public Safety has long used K9 teams, considered essential for narcotics and explosive detection and tracking fugitives. But they’ve also been integral to border security operations working with DPS brush teams and federal and local law enforcement, DPS says.
In November, DPS graduated nine new K-9 teams and four certified K9 Tech

The Boston Archdiocese has condemned a Church’s controversial nativity display featuring an “ICE was here” sign in a Christmas manger scene that had Jesus, Mary and Joseph missing. The anti-ICE nativity scene was placed outside the St. Susanna Catholic church in Dedham, Mass., a suburb outside Boston. The display also had a sign with the contact number for a group that monitors immigration operations. The Archdiocese of Boston blasted the display as “divisive political messaging” and called for it to be removed, saying it violated Catholic doctrine.

Race hustling weasels such as Al Sharpton have long suggested that white people don't want to have a talk about race, because we crayolas are all racist and whatnot. Good news, Al, I'm ready for that talk now!
The globalists — and their hate-spewing myrmidons, such as Sharpton, Joy Reid, and Joe Biden, have spent decades convincing YT people of two things:
That there is nothing worse than racism;
Leftists will decide who and what is "racist."
Let's start with "racist" voter ID!
FACT-O-RAMA! One of the best ways to conquer a nation without violence is to hijack elections. This becomes easy when voter ID laws are deemed "racist."

Old Joe Biden put down his ice cream cone and rejoined the fray on Friday, delivering a major speech at the International LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. The first question that leaps to mind is connection with this is: What on earth were the gays thinking? Whose bright idea was it to have Old Joe Biden, of all people, headline their conference? Didn’t they know that the man can barely string a coherent sentence together even when he is simply reading it off a teleprompter? In any case, the queer gathering got exactly what you’d expect.

As economic and cultural suicide stalk Western Europe, it has initiated efforts to hobble America's technological advantage and diminish our freedoms. The first documented attacks on our open dialogue came from the UK and began in 2018 when Morgan McGreevy, Keir Starmer’s chief of staff (then Labour Together’s managing director), began and funded an outfit called Stop Funding Fake News (SFFN). Recognizing that the online news purveyors could best be silenced by depriving them of funds, it first targeted UK outfits, but moved on in an attempt to starve U.S. outfits like American Thinker, Breitbart, Zero Hedge, and the Federalist of advertising revenue, and astroturfing defamation of such sites.

And what do you know, the scandal just got significantly worse for Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Newly surfaced photographs show both Democrats smiling alongside Abdul Dahir Ibrahim,

A grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia indicted former FBI Director James Comey in September. He was indicted on two counts – false statements and obstruction of a congressional proceeding.

On September 13, 2001, I said:
It is recorded in our history books that when he looked down at the ship full of smiling, victorious faces… faces of his flyers, just having returned from Pearl Harbor, Japanese Fleet Admiral Yamamoto was quiet, pensive, even apprehensive.
He later wrote in his private diary:
It took the attack on Pearl Harbor to awaken Americans to the threat that the world faced 82 years ago today.
Today, the Western world faces a very different kind of threat.
The threat we face today is much larger than the one we faced 82 years ago—and, for that matter,

The Guardian reports that, in the next two or three years, 50 “higher education providers” — 24 of them within a year — could (just like the providers of other goods-and-services) close down or, as Sally Weale, its education correspondent puts it, “risk exiting the market”. Sally thinks — that is, takes it for granted — that this a bad and unhappy circumstance, to be spoken of as ‘collapse’, ‘threat’, ‘turmoil’, ‘worry’, ‘disorder’, ‘fear’. And no doubt, from the point of view of the providers themselves, that is just what it is. What provider of goods-and-services —

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has dismantled long-standing congressional barriers that shielded unaccountable bureaucrats from the people’s elected leader.
On Friday, a three-judge panel ruled 2-1 that President Donald J. Trump, and any future commander-in-chief, has the unfettered right to remove members of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) without cause. The decision, penned by Circuit Judge Neomi Rao Katsas and joined by Judge Justin Walker, both appointed by Trump, reverses lower court rulings that had propped up these “for cause” removal protections as relics of a bygone era.

When police in Texas pulled over a semi truck tractor on IH-35 last week, they discovered the vehicle’s human cargo in yet another example of the relentless efforts to traffic illegal aliens into America despite the Trump administration’s tough immigration policies.
Last Friday, a trooper for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) conducted a traffic stop in La Salle County as part of Operation Lone Star and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, discovered 23 illegals stuffed into the sleeping area of the Freightliner truck tractor’s cab.
After finding the illegals who were from a number of Latin American countries, the police arrested John Amaya, a 24-year-old man from Laredo

An illegal alien released into the United States by former President Joe Biden’s administration is accused of leaving a Maryland woman in critical condition and fleeing the scene following a head-on collision in the sanctuary jurisdiction of Prince George’s County, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested illegal alien Kevin Alexis Mendez-Ortiz of Honduras on November 25 while conducting a targeted raid in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
According to ICE officials, on November 9, Mendez-Ortiz was driving on a road in Prince George’s County when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle head-on.

U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-CA, called President Donald Trump a “killer” because he ordered the destruction of suspected drug trafficking boats.
She said that the air strikes outraged her.
"I am outraged... He doesn't know whom [sic] they are or whether they are innocent or whether they're guilty," Water said. "He should follow the laws. The law does not allow or intend for the president of the United States to kill anyone he wants to kill." [Tweet, video]
Democratic lawmakers have claimed that Trump has issued illegal orders to the military. Yet, those Democrats can't name a single illegal order, Townhall reported.

There has been another unprovoked stabbing on the Charlotte, North Carolina, commuter light rail system. We saw the tragic death of Iryna Zarutska last August in just such an event, but this latest incident is different in two ways: The victim is still alive, although in critical but stable condition, at least as of this writing, and the alleged attacker is an illegal alien, who has been deported at least once and entered the United States illegally again.
When will we have had enough of this? Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy weighed in on his official X account:
