COTONOU - Benin President Patrice Talon said on Sunday that the West African nation's government and armed forces had thwarted a coup attempt by a group of soldiers and vowed to punish them. Talon's announcement on Sunday evening came about 12 hours after gunfire first rang out in several neighbourhoods of Cotonou, the country's biggest city and commercial hub, and soldiers went on state television to say they had removed Talon from power. Forces loyal to Talon "stood firm, recaptured our positions, and cleared the last pockets of resistance held by the mutineers," Talon said in his own televised statement.

After what they put Trump through, it seems we also had some attempted coups. Maybe some on the left think we live in a third world s******e like Benin and can topple anyone that they don't like.

In a video that began gaining wide circulation on Thursday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) issued a call to action to her unhinged leftist following, and every patriot should be aware of what she said: “As much as Trump and his cronies want to act like we have no power to respond, the truth is we are more powerful than we think we are.” And clearly, she wants her leftist minions to use that power. Betraying her imperfect command of the English language, Omar continued: “And I want to underscore the importance of using every single leverage that we have at our — at, at our arsenal,

Left-led UK government follows up attacking Magna Carta and frequent social media arrests by announcing it is yet again postponing elections and moving to introduce a nationwide facial camera recognition system. Brexit leader Nigel Farage eviscerated the left-wing British government for piling depredations upon depredations on the British people, as they announced yet another postponement of local elections without good reason, on the same day they moved to roll out China-style facial recognition cameras. Speaking at a Reform Party press conference, Mr Farage said of these “monstrous” changes: …today’s the day we learn that there will be surveillance cameras not just in our big cities, but literally in every single village.

The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear the case over President Donald Trump's executive order directing federal agencies to interpret the 14th Amendment as excluding birthright citizenship to the children of illegal aliens and tourists, CBS News reported. Trump imposed the order as a means of combating the practice of birth tourism and the creation of "anchor babies", intended to present an obstacle to deportations. Thus far, the Department of Justice has struggled to defend the order in the lower courts and it remains unclear whether the conservative friendly justices will be more receptive to their arguments.

A former aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), who has been accused of being a covert Chinese agent, boasted in text messages that her boss was "much more obedient" than her predecessor, Andrew Cuomo. The comments, part of the evidence presented at Linda Sun's corruption trial, were made during a discussion aimed at convincing Cuomo, the governor at the time, to film a speech commemorating the Lunar New Year. Sun indicated to a Chinese official that she could get the then-Lt. Gov. to do it instead. “She (Hochul) is much more obedient

The arrest of Brian Cole Jr. on Thursday in connection with the J6 pipe bombing incident is a huge story. But make no mistake, this story is about to be memory-holed by the mainstream media… and fast. Federal authorities arrested 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. of Virginia for allegedly planting pipe bombs outside the RNC and DNC headquarters on the night of January 5, 2021. For four years, Biden’s FBI failed to break the case while the pipe bombs were used as political ammunition against Trump supporters. As PJ Media previously reported, Cole’s arrest did not result from new tips or a brave new witness suddenly emerging from the shadows; it was because

Hell has frozen over, and take cover; pigs are flying. The New York Times has told the truth, and in so doing, defended Donald Trump and SecWar Pete Hegesth. The stakes are high: Polls show trust in the media at an all-time low with less than 20 percent of citizens trusting television or print media. Yet, reporters and academics continue to destroy the core principles that sustain journalism and ultimately the role of a free press in our society. Notably, writers who have been repeatedly charged with false or misleading columns are some of the greatest advocates for dropping objectivity in journalism. The Times’ sudden embrace

There's good news for Republicans on the congressional redistricting front Thursday evening, as the Supreme Court has now granted Texas' application to stay a divided three-judge district court panel ruling that enjoined the use of the newly drawn map. Following the panel decision in mid-November, Texas appealed directly to the Supreme Court (as is permitted in redistricting cases), and the court swiftly issued an administrative (temporary) stay of the lower court decision. On Thursday, in a 6-3 ruling, the court formally stayed the panel decision pending its appeal on the merits. The practical effect of this

Hoo boy. Sometimes, you might do something so embarrassing, so humiliating, that you want to hide in the closet. The prestigious science journal Nature may be thinking about doing that right about now, because on Wednesday, they officially retracted an influential 2024 climate report that predicted gloom and doom, death and misery, and impending economic catastrophe. As is the case with so much of the leftist climate narrative, their wild claims were quite simply unproven: In April 2024, the prestigious journal Nature released a study finding that climate change would cause far more economic damage by the end of the century than previous estimates had suggested.

The arrest of the alleged J6 pipe bomber just lumps mystery on top of mystery. What we know from court documents and media reports since his arrest Thursday is that suspect Brian Cole Jr., is a black, 30-year-old loner who lives in his mom’s basement in the middle-class suburb of Woodbridge, Va., a 20-minute drive from Washington, DC. According to his family, he is borderline autistic, and incapable of such a crime. In interviews, Cole’s grandmother, Loretta Cole, has said he is “very naïve . . . He’s almost autistic-like because he doesn’t understand a lot of stuff. “He’s slow. He may be 30, but he’s got the mind of a 16-year-old.”

Standard 205 is distinct from the ABA’s standard 206, which requires law schools to commit to diversity ideology to get accredited.
