It's time to scrap tariffs

Zohran Mamdani, a lunatic-fringe leftist, won election as mayor of New York by addressing the cost of living and making Hugo Chavez-like promises of free goodies for all. The latter will be a disaster, but the fact that the Trump administration officials are now focusing on the cost of living, too, suggests that all may not be a "golden age" as the administration has been promoting. Get a load of J.D. Vance: I think it's idiotic to overreact to a couple of elections in blue states, but a few thoughts: 1) Scot Pressler, TPUSA, and a bunch of others have been working hard to register voters. I said it in 2022

Yep! That's the answer! We need to get rid of tariffs so what is left of industry can be moved overseas and take the food supply with it. Other countries should be allowed to place tariffs on our exports to save fuel for ships returning to their countries to stuff our stores with more of their cheap junk. After all, we're rich. Gold is lying on the ground everywhere, our industries had no roll in producing anything for us. Pretty soon we will have no credit left, (we are very close now), and someone else will run the world.

I thought scrapping tariffs is Trump's goal, and placing reciprocal tariffs on foreign imports might motivate those countries to drop their punitive tariffs on our exports to them. Promote the bilateral scrapping of tariffs, and we're getting somewhere. Scrapping our tariffs while continuing their tariffs on us should no longer be tolerated.

Hasn't Trump already said that where there are zero tariffs on us we will drop them too? Did i dream that? So let's leave it that way. And as for the fentanyl tariffs i am one thousand percent for them. Stop mailing us poison.

so--- cheap Chinses CRAP instead of American jobs. THAT is the bottom line of "scrap tariffs". It's just that simple. Either you protect your industries, and your jobs, or you sell out to Cheap Chinese Crap.

No, it isn't. We ARE getting ripped off. Countries are charging us tariffs on products we buy from them (we pay extra). We can, and have, made those products here. Trump is bringing those companies back here so we don't have to pay those tariffs. And those companies that come back will provide good jobs for Americans. These tariffs we charge now is a temporary situation.

I tust Trump and his team more than I trust Gasparino via Showalter. Gasparino has long been kust a knowitall windbag, bragging about his insider connections. I buy almost all my groceries from Walmart because I must have them delivered. Prices on grocderies have come down. Beef has been out of sight for more than a few years. And both Walmart and Target deal largely in Chinese imported stuff. American-made toys (the always mention toys) have always been pricey - and better. Cheap Chiese gear has dundoubtedely gone up with tariffs. Most of the anti-tariff advocates try to say it iis responsible for high prices. Then why were all prides so high in Biden's term? I believe that this rubbish is just more anti=Trumping.

She said she's not a Never Trumper... I wonder. I think Canada's 400% tariff on American dairy farmers in Wisconsin is something we might want to renegotiate with a few tariffs of our own...and so many similar circumstances.

Monica is usually smarter than this. As #2 states, the tariff solution is a two-part process. First, match the competing country's tariff, then reduce it to something smaller or down to zero, both ways. It doesn't happen overnight, like many dimwits expected the price of eggs and gasoline to do. Any inflation is due to Biden waste and fraud, which is being identified and removed, as the incompetent judges are being pushed out of the way.

The Supreme Court issued a ruling blocking an order from a federal judge that required the Trump administration to pay full Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for November. The decision from the Supreme Court came after the Trump administration requested that U.S. District Judge John McConnell’s order that the administration dish out full SNAP benefits by Friday be blocked, according to the Associated Press. Per the outlet: A judge had given the Republican administration until Friday to make the payments through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. But

There were two interconnected stories concerning Condé Nast publishing this week, and many of the problems with our contemporary media are at the center of it all. It was another case of an outlet facing constriction, and it led to another example of the new class of journalists infecting the industry with activist, near anti-social mindsets in the workplace. To start, if you missed the melodrama, the announcement was made earlier this week that the hyper-leftist source Teen Vogue was being diluted, with much of its editorial team being let go, and any lingering staff and content would be folded into the parent publication. Over the years,

The Trump Administration is unmasking Antifa. While leaders of blue sanctuary states plot to pull the masks off ICE and Border Patrol agents, even as death threats against them have gone up by 8,000%, the Trump Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is imposing new rules on Antifa and other violent protesters. The net effect would rip off Antifa's masks and Teletubby costumes on or near federal property. The violent protesters who have been amassing outside the ICE headquarters in Portland since June were reportedly notified of the nationwide rules that forbid them from hiding their identities while on or near federal facilities like the ICE property.

Well, that was a depressing election day, wasn’t it? The big three (plus two) 2025 elections have all been tabulated, and the Democrats won bigly. New Jersey Governor In New Jersey, the Democrats won a yuge race for governor. Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), despite being a terrible candidate according to normal candidate metrics, beat Republican Jack Ciattarelli 56.3 percent to 43.2 percent. My prediction was totally off here, as I assumed that the Republican nominee would win a narrow majority or plurality. In this race, Democrats broke a historical trend going back to 1961,

Something strange happened in New Jersey on election night, and the numbers just don't add up. Republican Jack Ciattarelli lost the gubernatorial race to Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill by a stunning 56% to 43% margin, a blowout that left pollsters scratching their heads and conservatives asking hard questions about what really went down in the Garden State. This was supposed to be a competitive race. Trump only lost the state by six points a year prior, and, if you were following this race, you know that Ciattarelli had momentum heading into Election Day, picking up endorsements from local Democrats and labor unions along the way. This was the only gubernatorial contest

Democrats have had a pretty satisfying week, and for good reason. Republicans lost across the board on Tuesday, and didn't just lose but got thumped. While these losses all took place in blue states -- except some local races in Pennsylvania and Georgia, which are still concerning -- it's the scope of the losses that looks grim for the GOP. My pal Cam Edwards pushed back passionately in our VIP Gold chat yesterday at Republicans offering excuses for losses in Virginia especially, where a dozen state legislative seats flipped to Democrats, and warns that the GOP

Germany's grand “Muslim Miracle” was supposed to save the country’s future. Instead, it broke it into a million pieces. About ten years ago, German leaders sold their citizens on a utopian plan: import millions of young Muslims to flood the workforce, rescue a collapsing pension system, and secure the nation’s prosperity for generations. The theory sounded far-fetched and absurd, but Germans bought into it. However, the reality was a total disaster. Fast-forward to today, and Germany is now raising its retirement age to 70. The German people were lied to. The plan to rebuild the workforce through mass immigration didn’t just fail; it cratered. It didn’t revive the economy
