There were two interconnected stories concerning Condé Nast publishing this week, and many of the problems with our contemporary media are at the center of it all. It was another case of an outlet facing constriction, and it led to another example of the new class of journalists infecting the industry with activist, near anti-social mindsets in the workplace.
To start, if you missed the melodrama, the announcement was made earlier this week that the hyper-leftist source Teen Vogue was being diluted, with much of its editorial team being let go, and any lingering staff and content would be folded into the parent publication. Over the years,

The Trump Administration is unmasking Antifa.
While leaders of blue sanctuary states plot to pull the masks off ICE and Border Patrol agents, even as death threats against them have gone up by 8,000%, the Trump Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is imposing new rules on Antifa and other violent protesters. The net effect would rip off Antifa's masks and Teletubby costumes on or near federal property.
The violent protesters who have been amassing outside the ICE headquarters in Portland since June were reportedly notified of the nationwide rules that forbid them from hiding their identities while on or near federal facilities like the ICE property.

Who would have thunk it? Marjorie Taylor Greene, Morning Joe's favorite Republican member of Congress! But with her recent moves to distance herself from President Trump and the GOP at large, MTG is winning Morning Joe hearts and minds. The latest came today. After the show aired Trump's pointed criticism of Nancy Pelosi in reaction to her announcement that she would not be seeking re-election, and Speaker Mike Johnson's less critical but not flattering comments, the show aired MTG saying: "I will praise Nancy Pelosi. She had an incredible career for her party. I served under her speakership in my first term

Well, that was a depressing election day, wasn’t it?
The big three (plus two) 2025 elections have all been tabulated, and the Democrats won bigly.
New Jersey Governor
In New Jersey, the Democrats won a yuge race for governor. Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), despite being a terrible candidate according to normal candidate metrics, beat Republican Jack Ciattarelli 56.3 percent to 43.2 percent.
My prediction was totally off here, as I assumed that the Republican nominee would win a narrow majority or plurality. In this race, Democrats broke a historical trend going back to 1961,

Something strange happened in New Jersey on election night, and the numbers just don't add up. Republican Jack Ciattarelli lost the gubernatorial race to Democratic Representative Mikie Sherrill by a stunning 56% to 43% margin, a blowout that left pollsters scratching their heads and conservatives asking hard questions about what really went down in the Garden State.
This was supposed to be a competitive race. Trump only lost the state by six points a year prior, and, if you were following this race, you know that Ciattarelli had momentum heading into Election Day, picking up endorsements from local Democrats and labor unions along the way.
This was the only gubernatorial contest

Zohran Mamdani, a lunatic-fringe leftist, won election as mayor of New York by addressing the cost of living and making Hugo Chavez-like promises of free goodies for all.
The latter will be a disaster, but the fact that the Trump administration officials are now focusing on the cost of living, too, suggests that all may not be a "golden age" as the administration has been promoting.
Get a load of J.D. Vance:
I think it's idiotic to overreact to a couple of elections in blue states, but a few thoughts:
1) Scot Pressler, TPUSA, and a bunch of others have been working hard to register voters. I said it in 2022

President Donald Trump celebrated the news of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) upcoming retirement, calling the nearing end to her long political career a “great thing for America.”
Pelosi, 85, announced that she will not run for re-election at the end of her twentieth congressional term in January 2027 on Thursday morning, saying, “I look forward to my final year of service as your proud representative as we go forward.”
“The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America,” Trump told Fox News’s Peter Doocy after the news broke: “She was evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country.

Democrats have had a pretty satisfying week, and for good reason. Republicans lost across the board on Tuesday, and didn't just lose but got thumped. While these losses all took place in blue states -- except some local races in Pennsylvania and Georgia, which are still concerning -- it's the scope of the losses that looks grim for the GOP. My pal Cam Edwards pushed back passionately in our VIP Gold chat yesterday at Republicans offering excuses for losses in Virginia especially, where a dozen state legislative seats flipped to Democrats, and warns that the GOP

Congratulations, Democrats, on your 2025 rebranding into the Marxist Palestinian Party. Five stars. No notes.
Just minutes after election results confirmed Zohran Mamdani would become New York City's next mayor, vandals tagged the Magen David Yeshiva in Brooklyn with swastikas. The school is part of Sephardic Jewish community that overwhelmingly voted for Andrew Cuomo, JTA notes, along with Mamdani's reaction:
“This is a disgusting and heartbreaking act of antisemitism, and it has no place in our beautiful city,” wrote Mamdani in a post on X. “As Mayor, I will always stand steadfast with our Jewish neighbors

The Second Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stunning decision on Thursday, vacating a lower court's ruling that denied President Donald Trump's efforts to remove the New York criminal case against him from state court to federal court.
Buckle up because I'm about to run through the procedural history here: As we all know, Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in New York state court in May of 2024. This was the case brought by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg, alleging that Trump orchestrated an illegal scheme to influence the 2016 presidential election by directing his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to pay $130,000 to Stormy Daniels,

DETROIT — Ford Motor
is reportedly considering ending production of its all-electric F-150 Lightning pickup truck amid mounting losses and more challenging market conditions for EVs.
The Wall Street Journal first reported the talks Thursday, adding they are ongoing and nothing has been finalized. A source familiar with Ford’s product strategy confirmed to CNBC that the company has been evaluating its future EVs amid the company’s losses and changing market conditions.
“What I can say is that F-150 Lightning is the best-selling electric pickup truck in the U.S. — despite new competition from CyberTruck, Chevy, GMC, Hummer and Rivian — and delivered record sales

Two U.S. Air Force heavy bombers have been tracked Thursday flying near the Venezuelan coast in what appeared to be a show of force linked to President Donald Trump’s latest regional pressure campaign.
Both aircraft are conventionally armed Boeing B‑52H Stratofortress models, according to publicly available flight data on the website Flightradar24. The planes were flying under the call signs TITO41 and TITO42.
The sorties are the latest in what the Air Force is calling "bomber attack demonstrations" in the Caribbean region. Last month, three groups of B-52H and B-1B Lancers flew similar publicly visible missions to within tens of miles of Venezuela's coast.
