Dear former President Barack Obama,
During former Vice President Kamala Harris' 2024 presidential campaign, you chastised "the brothers" for what you perceived as their reluctance to vote for a black female. You said: "We have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all corners of our neighborhoods and communities as we saw when I was running. Now, I also want to say that that seems to be more pronounced with the brothers."
Did you tell "the brothers" who, for the sake of racial solidarity, you tried to shame into voting for Harris that you only believe in left-wing racial solidarity?

And this is why I laugh when Democrats, the media, and other lefty commentators say that Pam Bondi, Kash Patel, and President Trump have weaponized the Department of Justice. No, that’s you people. It will always be you people, and it’s not far off to say that those on the Left are enemies of the state. Arctic Frost was revealed to be a widespread Biden DOJ spy operation that sought to surveil the activities of a host of conservative organizations. No, scratch that—it was a mass surveillance operation into the conservative movement writ large. The late Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA was spied on, part of former Special Counsel

Former President Barack Obama's presidential legacy is crumbling before our eyes. While he works to perform the roles of former president and titular head of the Democrat Party, running interference for the flailing campaigns of Democrat gubernatorial candidates Abigail Spanberger (VA) and Mikie Sherrill (NJ), and propping up CA Gov. Gavin Newsom and his unconstitutional gerrymandering scheme, he has the looming threat of the government for whom he used to be the head, precipitating his legacy's increasing demise. In July, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard dropped evidence that exposed how then-President Obama and his intelligence apparatus created fraudulent documents

Ronald Reagan was known for a typically cogent observation about government: "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." As is so often the case, he was right. He likely didn't foresee the onset of electric vehicles and the climate scolds' touting of them to prevent the planet from catching on fire; those were subsidized before they ever moved in the first place.
But those subsidies are gone now, and so a bunch of people who worked on vehicles and batteries are finding themselves out of work.

Congressional candidate Kat Abughazaleh took part in a protest last month at the Broadview ICE facility just outside of Chicago, where she was physically removed after trying to interfere with operations.
Now, she's facing a pretty serious federal indictment.
Abughazaleh, a 26-year-old social media influencer running to represent the 9th Congressional District in Illinois, has been charged with two counts: conspiracy to impede or injure an Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer, and assaulting or impeding that officer while engaged in his official duties.
The conspiracy count, according to an MSNBC report, carries the potential for a six-year prison sentence

A friend DM'd this to me today, with the question: Why is this man still talking?
The short answer is that in the US, we let people say what they want, short of imminent threats of violence or incitement thereof. You can be the biggest ignorant fool in the world, and you can still speak your mind.
Too bad Barack Obama doesn't want to reciprocate. Speaking this week at a policy forum, the former president and ultimate author of the Russia-collusion hoax wagged his finger about those who might say incorrect things while on social-media platforms. Obama's in favor of the First Amendment on opinions, he emphasized,

... Politico? Yes, as surprising as that may be. However, they're only talking about it because their usual sources in the Democrat establishment can't stop discussing Karine Jean-Pierre's meltdown. And as David noted yesterday, KJP's performance speaks volumes about the nature of DEI policies and identity politics.
If the insider whispers have reached the pitch that Politico suggests, Democrats must be horrified:
Some former West Wing staffers are privately texting one another wondering why she can’t answer questions about her own book with greater clarity or coherence. Others are bristling at her emphasis on identity politics.
Most just hope that she will be ignored,

The American people, and others around the world, have been sold a bill of goods on wind and solar energy. These electricity sources are intermittent, unreliable, and ridiculously expensive. Those defects supposedly were outweighed by their environmental benefits. But are there, in fact, any environmental benefits?
The reality is that both wind and solar energy are terrible for the environment. This is because they are absurdly low-power energy sources, so they require vast quantities of materials (mining, manufacturing, transportation and construction) and land to produce minimal amounts of electricity.
This video tells the story. It is deliberately moderate in tone to be accessible to a broad audience that probably

Wikipedia has long been a liberal bastion. It is useful for basic facts–in what year did Charles V die?–but on any politically controversial topic, its editors skew content to the left, and sometimes propagate outright misinformation.
Now Wikipedia has a competitor, Grokipedia. Grokipedia is a Grok product, and therefore part of the Elon Musk empire. I believe it is still in a beta version, but some are saying that it is already better than Wikipedia, and less biased. It would be great if it could put Wikipedia out of business.
My wife pointed out that there is a remarkably long article about Power Line on Grokipedia. From a quick look,

We see it all the time, the vitriol against President Trump. Rage, outrage, digital and physical tantrums… it’s all part of the “We Hate Trump” show. It does cause a sane person to reflect, is there something to this hate? In reality, the truth, like so many truths, is simple. To get there, you have to understand all that came to pass.
For years, the Left has been waging political and social war with America, specifically against conservatives. It first became evident with the forcing of Obamacare down the country’s throat. There was no bipartisanship, no compromise. It was clear from that moment on that members of the Democrat Party

In one of America’s most popular novels, seven-year-old Scout has been reading “ever since she was born.” She and her father read the newspapers together every evening. Late in the summer, she realized she would be starting school in a week. “I never looked forward more to anything in my life. Hours of wintertime had found me in the treehouse, looking over at the schoolyard, spying on the children there. ... I longed to join them.”
But everything changed by lunchtime! Scout’s older brother Jem asked how she was getting along on her first day of school. “I told him.

The problem with deals made with terrorist groups is that they are generally pathological liars and oftentimes aren’t interested in “peace” at all; they just want a chance to regroup.
Under the Trump-brokered deal, Hamas was supposed to return all the Israeli hostages, yet they have not fully complied. Now Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused the group of violating the ceasefire by shooting at Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troops in Gaza, and he’s vowing retribution:
"Following the security consultations, Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the military echelon to carry out immediate and powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip," Netanyahu's office said Tuesday.
