Jesse Jackson's funeral was held Friday at the House of Hope on Chicago's South Side. Every major Democrat who still matters showed up: Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Jill Biden, California Gov. Gavin Newsom. That’s right: sitting with a bunch of other couples, Barack Obama once again went stag. The Obamas themselves issued a joint statement about Jackson's death that made Michelle's absence on Friday all the more glaring. "Michelle got her first glimpse of political organizing at the Jacksons' kitchen table when she was a teenager," the statement read. "And in his two historic runs for president, he laid the foundation for my own campaign

It’s hard for Micheal to pretend three things at once: that he’s a woman, he’s Obama’s wife, and he’s in love with him. (No one could love the “Light Bringer “ more than he loves himself!)

"What we're likely watching is the same arrangement the Clintons have run for years: a show marriage for the public to keep their legacies intact, while the actual relationship is a dumpster fire behind the scenes." The problem is, Michelle isn't smart enough and doesn't have control of her ego enough to pull it off like Hillary does. Everytime she appears somewhere she leaves a stink behind her because of her whiney words. She wants to 'Let me define what I want to do, apart from what I'm supposed to do.' but politics and public appearance is all about doing what sells, i.e. what you HAVE to do, to win your election, to sell your book, to make yourself likeable enough so that people want to see you at your appearances. Michelle walks around with a block of wood on her shoulder instead of a chip. Is it because she is Black? Because she is a woman? Because she gets second billing after BO? Whatever the cause, it's apparent and off-putting and makes her unlikeable.

The Clintons make a better show of marital harmony, probably because they actually had some sort of attachment in their early days, if only because of their mutual ambition. On the other hand, the Obamas are a made-up couple put together by Jeremiah Wright's "Down Low Club" in a marriage of convenience for both. Barry O is better at hiding his contempt. Mooch has always been an angry, bitter shrew, and now she isn't even trying to hide it.

What a phony. Barry should know, since Michelle was there with Jesse at the kitchen table, that Donald Trump funded Jesse's two presidential runs in '83 and '84. Trump has actually credibility in the "Black Community" for promoting minority entrepreneurship. Obama, crickets. Omama? Barry and his (ahem) "spouse" have espoused thier racially divisive beliefs since day one. Japanese automaker Honda just cancelled the production of three planned made-in-the-U.S.A. electric cars, including the 0-Series SUV, the 0-Series Saloon, and the Acura RSX — and the company says it will write off massive losses as a result. Still, better than building EVs nobody wants to buy. The company said the EVs had to go to avoid future losses, complaining about the “current business environment where the demand for EVs is declining significantly.” I follow these things, and I'd somehow never even heard of Honda's 0-Series vehicles — assuredly for "zero emissions" — introduced at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and were

The first six days of war in Iran cost U.S. taxpayers at least $11.3 billion in munitions alone, according to Pentagon estimates reviewed by lawmakers, and experts say the final cost will only increase. That total does not include the cost of operating and maintaining the military force engaged in the war or battle damage sustained from Iran’s attacks. The military used about $5.6 billion in munitions in the first two days of the conflict, according to a person with knowledge of the estimate. The munitions cost was first reported by The Washington Post. The money spent on munitions, and the added expense of any damage done to U.S. military infrastructure

Shortly before 10:49 a.m., a gunman in Constant Hall opened fire and injured two people, according to university spokesperson Jonah Grinkewitz. Campus police, the Norfolk Police Department and emergency personnel responded and the gunman is now dead, Grinkewitz said. The injured have been transported to a local hospital. The Norfolk Police Department confirmed they were on scene responding to the "active incident" at the school on social media. "As of 11:43 a.m., there is no longer a threat at Old Dominion University,"

For years, the British £5 note has carried the face of Winston Churchill. The wartime prime minister who rallied Britain during its darkest hour has stared out from wallets and cash registers across the country, a constant reminder of the man who helped lead Britain through World War II. Now the Bank of England is considering scrapping that tradition. And what might replace one of Britain’s most consequential leaders says quite a lot about where parts of the country’s cultural establishment think Britain should be headed. Animals. Plants. Landscapes. Not the people who shaped the nation’s history. Wildlife. The idea surfaced after the Bank of England asked the public what themes they

Every new military technology, every new weapon, sooner or later, was countered by some other new weapon or technology. Armor was rendered obsolete by the musket. Castle walls were rendered obsolete by cannons. Battleships were rendered obsolete by aircraft carriers. Today, drones are one piece of new tech that military forces around the world are still learning how to employ, and how to defend against. And now, there's a new counter: A rifle-mounted drone-killer device. A new chapter in counter-drone defense begins as Nuburu’s Lyocon subsidiary completes initial trials of a next-gen, portable non-kinetic laser system

Schrödinger's Cat is both (or is it neither?) alive and/or dead, but exists in an undetermined state inside a closed box along with a single radioactive atom, a Geiger counter, a hammer, and a vial of poison gas, because there's nothing weirder than a bored physicist. The point of Erwin Schrödinger's Gedankenexperiment (thought experiment) was to highlight the absurdity of quantum superposition, where subatomic particles can exist in multiple states at once until measured by conscious human beings. The radioactive element might (or might not) decay at any given moment, activating the Geiger counter that's rigged to a hammer that smashes the vial filled with cyanide gas.

On Monday night, Scott Jennings asked a simple question to a CNN panel, and it got me thinking. And what I thought about was quite disturbing. The Department of Homeland Security has been shut down since Presidents' Day weekend. Democrats triggered it, and they've kept it going as a pressure campaign against the Trump administration's deportation agenda, specifically to hamstring Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and use that as a cudgel to force policy changes in enforcement, most of which are absurd. The Senate voted three separate times on DHS funding bills, and each time, Democrats blocked them — every single one, with the lone exception of Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.).

Back in February, the U.K. said dogs were an obstacle to its latest diversity scheme, namely turning the "too white" English countryside into a more "diverse" (read: Islamic) place to live. Not long after, a Muslim in New York said she was glad the city was "coming to Islam" when it came to dogs. Islam believes dogs are filthy and they're haram in many places, of course. But people in the West love their dogs, and the pet industry in the U.K. makes over £10 billion. In the U.S., that figure is $157 billion for 2025. Most of that is driven by dog ownership, so of course the politicians can't come

Political commentator Meghan McCain has built a career that began with a powerful advantage: her last name. The daughter of late Sen. Meghan McCain never hid that connection, and she's defended her father's record with fierce loyalty since he died in 2018. Despite my thoughts about Meghan, her loyalty deserves respect; a daughter defending her father is hardly controversial, while she protects what she believes was an honorable legacy tied to her father's military service and Senate career. McCain, however, found his political decisions drifted away from conservative principles
