Katie Porter threatens to walk out of
TV interview

Katie Porter threatened to walk out of an interview with a local CBS News affiliate after the reporter asked several follow-up questions about whether her support for Democrats’ congressional redistricting measure would alienate Republican voters. The on-camera sitdown with Porter, a frontrunner in the gubernatorial race, grew confrontational after the reporter, Julie Watts, asked: “What do you say to the 40 percent of California voters — who you’ll need in order to win — who voted for Trump?”

Comments:

She said she didn't want followup questions. She has had a charisma bypass. A Dem.

As a Democrat she is not used to a reporter from CBS pressing her on any issue. She probably thought she'd just be the recipient of multiple air kisses.

Like most Democrats, she isn't used to getting real questions and follow up questions to her non answers from reporters. I'm sure she was expecting some puff piece interview with warm fuzzy praises disguised as questions like she normally gets. Instead, the reporter dared to challenge her and the Hulk emerged, full of rage and anger.

I would not vote for any of the Dem contenders in that election, and the Rebooblican candidates are not much better. Porter is a typical female Dem.... unattractive, graceless and humorless. Hilton should have stayed at his TV job. The not-so-Golden State continues its slide.

A frontrunner but I have never heard of her? Loved it when she said when asked about (40%) the voters, “How would I need them in order to win, ma’am?” I agree it does not matter how the people vote, the winners are pre-determined.

What she was saying, we don't ever need to even talk to a Republican in the state of CA any longer as they don't have any position of elected power for nearly 20 years now. After all, we've set up a system that we control and are able to manipulate to ensure the top 2 vote getters during the primary are the 2 we want (CA has the jungle primary system) in the general election. Just look at how we manipulated the system to ensure Schiff had the candidate we wanted for him to run against and we were able to paint as out of touch with CA. We've figured out how to disenfranchise millions of voters and will do even more if the people are fooled enough to think they're "fighting Trump" and trying to protect "OUR" democracy. It's funny, because it's not the countries democracy but OUR very liberal and myopic version of what we consider democracy. People are fooled into thinking it's actual democracy when we have one-party rule.

The head case known as Katie Porter, who abusively turned her young daughter into an environmental activist, a Goron, and a miserable person, is not cut out either for motherhood or for any kind of political power. When she was at Harvard, she was taught by Lieawatha aka Liz Warren, faux American Indian. Doesn't the resultant idiocy now make sense? Loopy women. I feel sorry for my friends (and godson and his family) who live in California. Their statewide political leadership is about as bad as it could be, and it's not getting any better.

There is a video out on the internet of her yelling obscenities at a staffer who walked into the filming of one of her campaign ads. I hope that past staffers start coming out of the woodwork with stories of her abuse of the help. Her message to the people in CA who voted for Trump is "don't want you and don't need you". I am surprised that she did not refer to them as deplorables.

The U.S. Supreme Court seems poised to rule against Colorado’s law banning so-called conversion therapy for LGBT youth. During a hearing on Oct. 7, several justices appeared sympathetic to a therapist’s challenge to the ban on the grounds that it violates her First Amendment rights to free speech. Lower courts had ruled that the law regulates a therapist’s conduct, finding that any infringement on her speech was incidental. Colorado’s Prohibit Conversion Therapy for a Minor Law was enacted in 2019, and bans licensed therapists from trying to “change an individual’s sexual orientation, including efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attraction or feelings

Rinderknecht, of Florida, was charged with maliciously starting what eventually became the Palisades fire. No one should have been surprised. Because what Jones said is a widely shared belief among Democrats these days. There is a fundamental misconception about what is happening politically in this country, and it may be helpful to reconsider a particular assumption that is creating cognitive dissonance throughout American culture. That assumption is that Democrats are a political party. Consequently, every measure of their behavior seems unexplainable. The assumption is incorrect. They have accelerated their devolution as a political entity over the last decade and have now arrived at a stable, if not entirely American, end state. The leaders, elected officeholders, and members have now been completely subsumed into a Communist Death Cult. The recent past is only a prologue for what is to come.
