Appeals Court Lifts Judge’s Order Blocking
Trump From Mobilizing Oregon National
Guard Troops

A federal appeals court on Wednesday lifted a judge’s order blocking President Trump from federalizing Oregon National Guard Troops. On Saturday, Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, blocked President Trump’s National Guard deployment to Portland. Judge Immergut issued a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and blasted President Trump’s decision to deploy troops. The TRO will expire on October 18. The judge warned that Trump’s justification to deploy troops to Portland may send the country into a constitutional crisis. On Sunday, President Trump called up hundreds of California National Guard Troops to Portland to circumvent the judge’s order blocking Oregon National Guard Troop deployment.

One by one, Trump is doing what we voted for, and violence on our streets is unacceptable. He puts his pieces on the board, waits for move, makes another move to block the king, then will checkmate. It’s a dance the Left hasn’t quite mastered.

You have to remember the the District Judges who have issued so-called restraining orders against President Trump and his policy decisions, live and hobnob with the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat politicians who run those leftist Democrat run sanctuary cities and states where those District Courts are based. Those Judges are not about to issue orders contrary to the wants of those leftist Democrat politicians and miss out on being invited to future local dinner parties where they hobnob with those politicians. That’s why their politically inspired and improper court orders are being overturned by the higher courts.

Democrats shut down the government partly to force Republicans to extend COVID-era boosts in Obamacare subsidies that Dems once called “temporary” but now say are needed to keep the program viable. This reveals what a true disaster Obamacare has been, as its critics warned even as Dems were ramming it into law with not a single Republican vote in 2010. Blindly tossing fresh trillions down that hole is nuts: Time to fix it — or scrap it altogether. The 10-year cost of Dems’ current demand totals almost a half-trillion dollars, to benefit primarily insurers and wealthier Americans. Under the expiration that Democrats wrote into law, 1.6 million Americans (just 0.5% of the population)

In hindsight, it was clear all along that President Trump didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Yet in being snubbed, he nonetheless proved something extremely important. His rejection reveals that the official claim of the award is false when it says the prize goes to “the person who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.” That standard describes exactly the peace Trump has achieved this year by settling conflicts around the world, most recently and dramatically in Gaza.

A trio of Trump diplomats celebrated the historic Gaza peace deal alongside a massive crowd in Tel Aviv’s Hostage Square on Saturday night — while nervously anticipating the release of the remaining Israeli hostages. US envoy Middle East Steve Witkoff, first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner — who recently emerged as a key player in the long-shot peace negotiations — addressed a gathering of tens of thousands, who waved American and Israeli flags and held placards with images of Hamas-held hostages. “God-willing we’ve accomplished the first phase. It’s been rocky. One day we’ll tell you the story, it’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry.

The global economy is finally waking up to the risks from authoritarian economics. As China imposes critical mineral and lithium battery export restrictions on the U.S. and the world, one must ask: Why did anyone ever trust a mercantilist dictatorship like the Chinese Communist Party to be the world’s main supplier of so many critical goods? To make matters worse, as China limits its critical exports to weaken our defenses, it also floods the world with overproduced cars and heavily subsidized steel, shutting out market-oriented producers. What a racket. Of course, we are not alone.

In yesterday’s Breitbart Business Digest, we examined a new working paper from Jared Bernstein and Daniel Posthumus that documented the decline of U.S. manufacturing employment, particularly the devastating 2000-2010 “China Shock” period when 5.7 million factory jobs disappeared. While the authors called this period “destructive” and urged preventing future shocks, they insisted that “sweeping” tariffs were not the right policy. Their reasoning was undermined by a significant contradiction: they claim tariffs would disrupt American manufacturing because we’re too dependent on foreign inputs, yet they simultaneously advocate for subsidies for sectors vulnerable to foreign export controls.
