The House of Representatives burst into chaos as Speaker Mike Johnson attempted to lead a prayer for Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated in Utah on Wednesday. Father-of-two Kirk, 31, the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization that regularly holds events on college campuses nationwide, was shot in the neck at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem and died about two and half hours later. His assassination not only devastated many members of Congress who knew the activist personally, but unleashed sadness, confusion and anger among lawmakers in the Capitol on both sides of the political spectrum.

Political analyst Matthew Dowd has been fired from MSNBC after his comments about the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to a network source.
During MSNBC’s coverage of Kirk’s shooting, anchor Katy Tur asked Dowd about “the environment in which a shooting like this happens.” Dowd responded with the following about Kirk: “He’s been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions. And I think

“In retrospect,” Kamala Harris writes of letting Joe and Jill Biden decide on their own whether the then-president should have tried to run for re-election, “I think it was recklessness.” (Snip) “‘It’s Joe and Jill’s decision.’ We all said that, like a mantra, as if we’d all been hypnotized,” Harris writes in the first excerpt of “107 Days” published Wednesday morning by The Atlantic. “The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition. It should have been more than a personal decision.” Part of the problem, Harris

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot Wednesday during a Q&A session at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Video from the event shows Kirk was struck near the neck. While details about his condition remain unclear, reports suggest he’s been hospitalized.
Unfornately, the mainstream media’s reaction to the shooting has been as disgusting as you could have predicted.
Over at CNN, Kristen Holmes dubbed Kirk “a controversial figure at times,” adding: “He goes into these various college campuses, uh, pushes conservative issues, gets into back and f—heated back and forth often with these students on these college campuses. But of course, uh, none of that is violent.”

Ammunition cartridges recovered along with the bolt-action rifle used in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk were scrawled with transgender and anti-fascist messages, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The rifle was recovered Wednesday night in a wooded area where the FBI believes the killer fled after the shooting.
It was wrapped in a towel and had three unused ammo cartridges still in the chamber. Each was “engraved with expressions of transgender and antifascist ideology,” the Journal reported…

WASHINGTON – Read the opinions for yourself. That’s the message Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor had Sept. 10 for viewers of the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” the day after her blistering response to her conservative colleagues’ latest ruling siding with the Trump administration. The majority said the administration can for now resume the indiscriminate immigration-related stops in southern California that sparked protests and charges of racial profiling. In her dissent for the court’s three liberals, Sotomayor said the majority’s decision “is yet another grave misuse of our emergency docket.” “We should not have to live in a country where

WARNING - President Trump's latest crackdown on prescription drug advertisements may cause Big Pharma executives to experience insomnia, tension headaches, a feeling of loss of control, and an upset stomach.
Trump signed an executive memorandum on Tuesday, directing the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to enhance transparency in direct-to-consumer prescription drug advertising. It calls for mandating more detailed disclosures of side effects.
This initiative, spearheaded by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., will address violations in drug ads without imposing an outright ban on those ads.

Charlie Kirk, the powerful rightwing activist, Trump ally and executive director of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was shot on Wednesday while hosting an event in Utah and is in critical condition at a hospital. In video posts circulating on social media, Kirk can be seen getting struck while speaking and sitting beneath a tent in the Utah Valley University courtyard. Kirk was there as part of The American Comeback Tour, which is hosted by the TPUSA chapter at Utah Valley. There is also video footage of students on campus running away from the sound of gunshots.

WASHINGTON — Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination, President Donald Trump may be uniquely positioned to tamp down the anger that suffuses American politics and lead a movement to bind up a bitterly divided country if he chooses.
But, political strategists and officials from both parties told NBC News, that’s not the path Trump appears to be taking.
Trump has been both a target of assassination attempts and a fount of vitriolic rhetoric. He knows firsthand the passions that drive American voters and, were he to renounce partisan attacks and call on others in both parties to do the same, that gesture could potentially send a healing message.

Charlie Kirk was shot and killed by an assassin while on stage during a stop at Utah Valley University kicking off his American Comeback Tour Wednesday, just as he answered a question from an audience member about mass shootings committed by transgender people.
The shooter remains on the loose, sources told The Post, despite conflicting reports that an arrest was made. Video was circulating on social media showing an older man being hauled away by police.
Asked if Kirk was in the hospital, President Trump told The Post somberly, “He’s not doing well…yes, it looks very bad,” adding that he was feeling “not good” about the shooting.
