Contrary to an illegal informed and perpetually wrong Chuck Schumer, Jimmy Kimmel wasn't canceled due to government pressure. It was Nexstar Media Group, owner of over 200 television stations, that decided to remove Kimmel's show. ABC followed. While Kimmel may have his first amendment right of free speech, he is not immune from the consequences of the content of his speech. With rights come responsibilities to use those rights correctly.
A few weeks ago Kimmel told his ex lover, Sarah Silverman, that he has dual citizenship with Italy. Your show is done now Jimmy. There's no reason for you to stay in the country you hate. Move to Italy so we can be rid of you. Ciao, Jimmy!
A foreign liberal newspaper introduced its readers to the Kimmel suspension by saying that it was for comments he made " on the death Charly Kirk, a political activist and Trump ally". On the death of?? it was cold blooded murder for political purposes. The same politics which Kimmel espoused nightly from his perch. He was fired for mocking that death and celebrating murder. One of the most precious resources we have is public bandwidth. Every celebrity who gets in front of the camera is a custodian of that public resource. Kimmel betrayed that trust. Democrats seem confused about what free speech actually means. If Kimmel wants to stand on a street corner and mumble about Kirk’s assassin being MAGA he can do that all day long. Kimmel was an employee of ABC. The corporate board has final editorial control over speech on their network, not Kimmel. They didn’t drop him over threats from the FCC or potential litigation. There’s no way the FCC could have successfully pulled their license. They dropped him because the affiliate owner groups dropped him. Money talks. Kimmel has zero entitlement to be employed by ABC.

Social Security Commissioner Frank Bisignano on Friday walked back his remark made earlier in the day that raising the retirement age was among the entitlement reforms being considered by the Trump administration.
In an interview with Fox Business, host Maria Bartiromo asked Bisignano if he’d consider increasing the age for full federal retirement benefits, which currently stands at 67.I think everything’s being considered and will be considered,” he said.
