Mayoral front-runner Zohran Mamdani and his lefty comrades are standing by state Attorney General Letitia James amid her indictment woes.
The Queens socialist fiercely defended James against the Trump administration during a love-filled news conference in Manhattan Friday, arguing the mortgage fraud case against her is politically motivated vengeance.
“This is a blatant miscarriage of justice. This is a shameless act of political retribution,” Mamdani seethed about the federal charges of bank fraud and making a false statement to a financial institution unveiled Thursday against James. “And instead of prosecuting Tish James for doing her job, Donald Trump should be doing his.”

Democrats sound like pull-string talkie dolls as they line up to tremble their lower lips and cry about what Awful Orange Man is doing to their beloved Attorney General Letitia James.
It only took about five minutes after the announcement of her federal mortgage-fraud indictment for Dems near and far to wring their handkerchiefs about the injustice of it all.
“No one should be surprised that Donald Trump is employing fascist tactics,” fretted mayoral wannabe Zohran Mamdani.
“Prosecuting his opponents, weaponizing the federal government, and attacking the very fabric of our democracy.”
“Keep your corrupt, grubby, abusive hands off Tish James, Donald Trump!” squeaked city Comptroller Brad Lander.

The truck driver caught in Oklahoma with a New York State commercial driver’s license without a first name was identified as an Indian migrant who illegally entered the country in 2023.
ICE agents arrested Anmol Anmol after he was stopped by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol during a routine inspection at a truck scale off I-40 last month, the Department of Homeland Security said Friday.
Anmol handed over his legitimate New York-issued driver’s license, which had the words “No Name Given” in place of his first and middle monikers.

The global economy is finally waking up to the risks from authoritarian economics.
As China imposes critical mineral and lithium battery export restrictions on the U.S. and the world, one must ask: Why did anyone ever trust a mercantilist dictatorship like the Chinese Communist Party to be the world’s main supplier of so many critical goods?
To make matters worse, as China limits its critical exports to weaken our defenses, it also floods the world with overproduced cars and heavily subsidized steel, shutting out market-oriented producers.
What a racket.
Of course, we are not alone.

The Israeli government published a list of the convicted Palestinian terrorists it agreed to release as part of the ceasefire-and-hostage deal that took effect Friday — and it includes murderers with shocking records. The list, published the morning after the cabinet approved the US-backed ceasefire deal, includes members of the Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the Popular Front terror groups, responsible for dozens of deadly terror attacks, but does not include some key terror chiefs Hamas has demanded, including popular Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti.

New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli announced through a campaign strategist on Thursday that he is intending to sue Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), his election rival, for defamation after she claimed on Wednesday that he had personally “killed tens of thousands of people.” Rep. Sherrill made the claim during their final election debate on Wednesday, referencing Ciattarelli’s medical publishing businesses. The Congresswoman claimed that, since Ciattarelli’s businesses published content from drug companies selling opioids, he was personally responsible for the deaths of everyone in New Jersey who consumed and became addicted to the drugs.

Former President Barack Obama on Thursday hailed the Gaza cease-fire deal brokered by President Trump – but failed to mention the commander in chief’s name.
The glaring omission of “Trump” in Obama’s social media post celebrating that the “end to the conflict is within sight” outraged administration officials, the president’s supporters and members of his family on X.
“After two years of unimaginable loss and suffering for Israeli families and the people of Gaza, we should all be encouraged and relieved that an end to the conflict is within sight; that those hostages still being held will be reunited with their families;

In yesterday’s Breitbart Business Digest, we examined a new working paper from Jared Bernstein and Daniel Posthumus that documented the decline of U.S. manufacturing employment, particularly the devastating 2000-2010 “China Shock” period when 5.7 million factory jobs disappeared.
While the authors called this period “destructive” and urged preventing future shocks, they insisted that “sweeping” tariffs were not the right policy. Their reasoning was undermined by a significant contradiction: they claim tariffs would disrupt American manufacturing because we’re too dependent on foreign inputs, yet they simultaneously advocate for subsidies for sectors vulnerable to foreign export controls.

The committee chose to focus on Venezuela in a year where U.S. President Donald Trump featured heavily in speculation as to the overall winner, given his unceasing efforts to bring peace to a variety of conflicts around the world.
Trump said previously it would be an “insult” to the United States if he did not win the Nobel Peace Prize and he has been backed in his quest by a host of other nations, as Breitbart News reported.
“She is receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela, and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy,”

It’s Banned Books Week, the celebration of blue-haired librarians cosplaying as champions of the First Amendment against evil conservatives who dare question the appropriateness of sexually explicit, pro-trans literature for five-year-olds. To summarize some of the silliness ably highlighted by NR’s Vahaken Mouradian on the subject: No “Banned Book” in America is actually banned; we still have an operative First Amendment, and every book on the American Library Association’s list of the top ten “Challenged Books” of 2024 is readily available on Amazon or at thousands of libraries and bookstores throughout the country.

European Union Ambassador to the United States Jovita Neliupšienė told Breitbart News exclusively in a lengthy interview last week that relations between Europe and the United States are going the “right direction” under the leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump and E.U. Commission President Ursula Von der Leyen. I think that they are going the very right direction because we had a meeting of Commission President Von der Leyen and President Trump in Scotland, in D.C., and on the margins of the NATO summit as well,” Neliupšienė said in the interview at the headquarters of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States in downtown Washington last week.

California has long been known for its counter-culture, its zaniness, its "otherness." But in recent decades, that reputation has grown sinister; it’s no longer about The Beach Boys, surfing culture, “Beverly Hills Cop,” or even The Eagles. For the last 15 years or so, give or take, it’s become more about hard-core left-wing politics, societal decline, socialism, and during the COVID years, even totalitarianism as the power structure in the Golden State enacted the most freedom-stripping measures of virtually any state. Now, unsurprisingly, the state’s brain trust seems to be in some sort of schizophrenic blender,
