A California woman illegally registered her dog to vote and cast two ballots under the canine’s name, according to officials. Laura Lee Yourex, 62, of Costa Mesa, faces five felony charges, including perjury, procuring or offering a false or forged document to be filed, casting a ballot when not entitled to vote and registering a non-existent person to vote, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Yourex submitted mail-in ballots under her dog’s name, Maya Jean Yourex, during the 2021 gubernatorial recall election and the 2022 primary, the District Attorney’s Office said. The recall ballot was counted, but the primary ballot was rejected.

Comments:

Absolutely criminal to allow your dog to vote TWICE.

One, it shows intent and willfulness to do it twice. Once could be a "joke" but I also doubt this is an isolated case. Keep in mind, Orange County refused to provide the Feds their voter registration information. Yet, they want people to think they can certify an election they don't have any idea their records are accurate or up to date. Over the past 5 years, in particular, millions have left California. I'll bet a lot of the voter registrations have not been removed. A thorough review should be conducted to help ensure people know they aren't being disenfranchised.

As we know, mail in voting, motor voter registration, no ID, and even absentee ballots are rife for fraud. That is why the dims love 'em. I'd wager nursing home and assisted living residents vote overwhelmingly dim. I could have voted for my elderly parents and they would have not known, but, t I let them mark their ballots.Being that they were nonagenarian with failing memory, poor eyesight, hearing impaired and easily distracted, I cannot not even be certain they voted as they wished. Sorry, but voting should be done in person with proper ID.

California lawmakers bear the largest part of the responsibility for this since they allow unverified registration of voters, mail in ballots, and no voter ID. This results in corruption.

GoFundMe has yanked sickening online fundraisers for the maniac accused of murdering a Ukrainian refugee on a North Carolina train after the legal defense funds sparked widespread outrage. The fundraising pages suggested Decarlos Brown Jr. — a career criminal with no fewer than 14 arrests — is just as much a victim as Iryna Zarutska, the woman seen being knifed dozens of times in a random attack. Helping the 35-year-old homeless suspect would also support the “fight against the racism and bias against our people,” one fundraiser reckoned.

Rep. Yassamin Ansari, D-Ariz., sparked a social media firestorm on Thursday for saying she does not "give a sh--" whether people in her district can vote for her in a rebuke of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. During a press conference on Capitol Hill on Thursday, Ansari was asked about her use of the term "constituents" while criticizing the Trump administration’s mass deportation efforts. "So, I didn’t realize this was such a controversy until the right-wing media started attacking me for using the word, so I Googled the word constituent. The definition of constituent is somebody who is part of a community, doesn’t matter what their legal status is," Ansari said.

Was floating a ban on trans people owning guns just some basement-level idiot’s idea for “owning the libs”? In the wake of Robin Westman’s deadly Minneapolis rampage, some troll in the bowels of the Trump Justice Department reportedly proposed blocking trans people from buying firearms by declaring them all “mentally ill.” This, of course, is absurd as a simple matter of law: No rule that strips a (dubiously-defined) group of their Second Amendment rights has any chance of holding up in court. And if it did somehow survive, that’s an open invitation for future progs to create their own “mentally ill by definition” categories — deployable to limit lots of other rights.

The Joe Biden autopen fiasco isn’t over, and it never went away. It just went dormant for a bit, but we knew something was going to drop, and it has. President Joe Biden signed a trove of clemency petitions before he shuffled out of the White House. There are concerns that he wasn’t cogent or even aware of what he was signing. That issue presented itself with executive orders, as told by Speaker Mike Johnson. The mountain of clemency petitions was navigated by a shoddy chain of command among top Biden staffers, and again, it presented issues about whether Joe Biden was aware of what was going on

The next step is asking the right questions. The story in Politico Nightly about a reporter’s odyssey in obtaining a Real ID from his native Illinois raises the question of whether local Democrats are discouraging their residents from getting this new form of identification because they don’t want to make things harder for the state's illegal alien population.
