For those of you wondering, since the doofus author didn't mention it - I had to look it up to be sure, the mayor of Charlotte is a black, female, democrat.

I don't doubt that color was a motivating factor in this crime, and it's sad that media will use (hide) that to demean the visceral reaction to this murder. Worst of all is the mayor's classic, liberal response. The reporter here, Bill Glahn, cites a radio report (WFAE) that's worth reading. The mayor's response is almost a creepy parody of virtue signaling. "We will never arrest our way out of issues such as homelessness and mental health," she says. Yeah, my gag reflex was triggered, too.

The real problem is electing black, female,Democrats in the first place and secondly, electing female Democrats. I guess men don’t run because they have families to support and you get bored women, supported by these men looking for something to do. We get these people who are totally unqualified, who run for any office from dog catcher to president who think the job is easy. They get elected because it becomes a popularity contest and sometimes it is— see John Kennedy and Obongo.

This murderous thug was homeless. He was already a diagnosed schizophrenic. I have a world of regret for once having tried to help a person suffering from schizophrenia. They can turn on a dime and become irrationally hateful and ruthlessly violent. The standard treatment we may expect from the Charlotte authorities is to: (1) lock up this perp, (2) have him examined and further diagnosed, (3) move him to a secure treatment facility, (4) put him on a treatment plan with anti-schizophrenia medications, (5) declare him "recovered and no longer a threat to the public so long as he adheres to his medication regimen," (6) release him back into the public with housing assistance and periodic oversight, such as requiring him to show up weekly or more frequently to a public health clinic where he must take his pills and swallow them in front of a nurse-officer. Then, after a few months of this routine: (7) he will listen to the voices in his head telling him that his medications and their side effects are an attempt by the authorities to harm him, (8) he'll then go off his drugs, move away where he cannot be readily found, and (9) he will re-offend and/or commit suicide. Yes, he should be locked up for life and medicated (by force if necessary) and never released back into the public where he represents an imminent threat to the innocent who mistakenly believe that society protects them from dangerous, mentally ill felons.

Never let your guard down in such a situation. Mistakes Ms. Zarutska made that ended her life: 1) Wearing ear buds on public transportation, which nullified one of her five senses. 2) Focusing on her phone, which took away another (the number of women I've seen doing both on the NYC subway platforms is astounding). 3) Lack of situational awareness, evidenced by taking a seat in front of a restless-looking, dreadlocked, black guy in a hoodie rather than one against a window. I'm not blaming the victim, who sounds like she was a wonderful person with real goals here in America. Perhaps she hadn't yet learned that downtown Charlotte at 10 PM isn't as safe as was her pre-war hometown in Ukraine. But as a Wikipedia article states, she was "unaware as the suspect glance[d] at her, pull[ed] a pocketknife from his hoodie, and flipp[ed] it open." This was one of those situations when seconds counted - and she didn't have them.

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) There is a lot of darkness out there. I've been wrestling with what to say to kick this off; something deep and insightful. Really, all I want to do is punch something. The nightmarish video from Charlotte, N.C., of Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska being murdered by a psychopath who was roaming freely thanks to the Democrats' violent felon fetish is sickening and infuriating. Hence the desire to punch something. This is a story that is difficult to tell, but needs to be told. Guess who isn't telling it, though? And while his books used to inspire genuine fear, his political predictions are now nothing more than laughable, partisan nonsense. His latest declaration is so ridiculous, it proves just how consumed he’s become with Trump Derangement Syndrome. According to King, years from now, many Americans who voted for Donald Trump will deny ever having done so.

After announcing he won’t seek a third term, uber liberal Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers — the palest man in politics — looks like he’s preparing to burn the mother down. As the MacIver Institute reported this week, Evers is using his recently expanded power to erase mothers and motherhood via trans-agenda friendly language in state Department of Health Services programs. The Evers administration’s Clearinghouse Rule 25-004 redefines, among other gender-specific terms, “pregnant women” as “pregnant persons” in a forced new administrative rule. The language swap trades “Pregnant woman” for “pregnant member(s).” “This rule makes it crystal clear: in the Evers-Rodriguez administration,

Pauline was the wife of Sheriff Buford Pusser, a Tennessee legend known for carrying a stick as he cracked down on crime. More than likely, Davidson explained,

Late last week NBC ran a “news” story featuring a dozen disgruntled federal judges whose rulings against various Trump administration policies have been stayed or overturned by the Supreme Court. These lower court judges, none of whom had the courage to allow NBC to name them in the article, bewailed the failure of SCOTUS to provide sufficient justification for ruling against them. It’s blindingly obvious, however, that the real issue they are whining about is the Court’s refusal to countenance their usurpation of the President’s Article II powers and frustrate implementation of his agenda.
