President Donald Trump and his team are reportedly preparing to sell shares of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which are government-backed companies that support the housing market by making home loans more stable and affordable.[snip] Trump and his economic team are now looking to sell off some of the government’s shares in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a process often called “privatization” or “stock sale.” The move is considered historic because it would mark a significant step toward returning these mortgage giants to private ownership after years under federal control.

The Trump administration is weighing the sale of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shares in an offering that could begin as early as this year. Plans under discussion call for selling between 5% and 15% of their stock, with the two government-controlled mortgage giants valued at more than $500 billion. The transaction could raise around $30 billion, potentially making it the largest IPO in history. In recent weeks, the CEOs of Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America met with President Trump in Washington to discuss the proposal. Trump confirmed that he is “working on” taking Fannie and Freddie public

In the charred aftermath of Malibu’s January wildfires, one buyer has been moving in silence. While much of La Costa Beach remains a barren stretch of sand, a foreign investor has quietly acquired nine oceanfront lots — spending more than $65 million to secure some of the most coveted parcels along the Pacific Coast Highway, according to Realtor.com. Working through luxury agents Weston Littlefield and Alex Howe of the Weston James Group, the buyer is targeting properties with at least 40 feet of frontage, betting that once the coastline is rebuilt, demand from wealthy buyers will return in force.

A whistleblower doctor and his wife took to X recently to slam a man who is angling to become President Trump’s chief prosecutor in the Southern District of Texas. Dr. Eithan Haim, a surgeon who blew the whistle on illegal child sex change surgeries at Texas Children’s Hospital, and his wife, Andrea, contend that Pearson did nothing to oppose or block their persecution at the hands of the Biden-appointed US Attorney and AUSA Tina Ansari, who later had to recuse herself from the case due to her family’s close ties to the hospital. WASHINGTON — President Trump appointed one of his top economic advisers to serve on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors Thursday — after months of pressuring Fed Chairman Jerome Powell to resign or demanding the board stage a coup to lower interest rates. [snip] Miran will replace Adriana Kugler, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, on the seven-member panel headed by Powell. Trump, 79, has excoriated Powell, whose term ends in May, for refusing to lower interest rates this year, despite inflation remaining below 3% — near the central bank’s 2% target.

Confederate Gen. Albert Pike, a self-educated lawyer from Arkansas, will return to the place he once occupied in Washington, D.C. A National Park Service news release said on Monday that the statue “which was toppled and vandalized during riots in June 2020” will be back in place sometime in October. Sitework to repair the damaged plinth will begin soon.
“The restoration aligns with federal responsibilities under historic preservation law as well as recent executive orders to beautify the nation’s capital and re-instate pre-existing statues,” the release said.

Conservative commentator Mark Levin explained on Fox News Tuesday how errors by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020 unfairly tilted the political landscape, costing Republicans critical congressional seats.
The U.S. Census Bureau admitted in 2022 that it significantly miscounted the population in over a quarter of U.S. states during the 2020 census, affecting the allocation of House seats and Electoral College votes.[snip] Levin said states like Florida, which should have gained two seats, and Texas, which was denied one, were unfairly affected, while states like Rhode Island retained seats due to the Census Bureau’s mistakes.

Marsha Blackburn formally announced her campaign for governor of Tennessee Wednesday morning in a campaign video, one year before the 2026 gubernatorial primary. While Blackburn has been rumored to be running since the beginning of the year, the video serves as her official announcement, and launches a race to the right between her and Rep. John Rose, two Tennessee lawmakers closely aligned with President Donald Trump seeking to replace outgoing Gov. Bill Lee.
In the video, Blackburn kicks off her campaign by doubling down on her familiar campaign strategies: aligning herself with Trump and staking her claim as the conservative choice.

Project Veritas on Tuesday released a bombshell story from a whistleblower alleging former US Attorney General Bill Barr along with media figure Armstrong Williams is running an illegal immigration visa fraud scheme for elites and billionaires. Patrícia Lélis, whistleblower, former Brazilian journalist at Howard Stirk Holdings, who is in hiding abroad, told Project Veritas that she was prosecuted after reporting Bill Barr and Armstrong William to the FBI. “It is way more easy to defraud the immigration system and the government more than people think. And I have proof of that because that’s what Armstrong [Williams] and [Former Attorney General] Bill Barr does,” she said.

Three civil service lawyers in the Department of Justice have been hit with misconduct complaints for representing the Trump administration in court. A nonprofit funded mainly by Pierre Omidyar's Democracy Fund, the Orwellian-named "Legal Accountability Center" has filed ethics complaints with the "grievance committees" of cities where the three lawyers have either lived or practiced.[Snip] This case has nothing to do with the fate of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. What you are witnessing is an application of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”
