WASHINGTON — President Trump appointed one of his top economic advisers to serve on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors Thursday — after months of pressuring Fed Chairman Jerome Powell to resign or demanding the board stage a coup to lower interest rates. [snip] Miran will replace Adriana Kugler, an appointee of former President Joe Biden, on the seven-member panel headed by Powell. Trump, 79, has excoriated Powell, whose term ends in May, for refusing to lower interest rates this year, despite inflation remaining below 3% — near the central bank’s 2% target.

Confederate Gen. Albert Pike, a self-educated lawyer from Arkansas, will return to the place he once occupied in Washington, D.C. A National Park Service news release said on Monday that the statue “which was toppled and vandalized during riots in June 2020” will be back in place sometime in October. Sitework to repair the damaged plinth will begin soon.
“The restoration aligns with federal responsibilities under historic preservation law as well as recent executive orders to beautify the nation’s capital and re-instate pre-existing statues,” the release said.

Conservative commentator Mark Levin explained on Fox News Tuesday how errors by the U.S. Census Bureau in 2020 unfairly tilted the political landscape, costing Republicans critical congressional seats.
The U.S. Census Bureau admitted in 2022 that it significantly miscounted the population in over a quarter of U.S. states during the 2020 census, affecting the allocation of House seats and Electoral College votes.[snip] Levin said states like Florida, which should have gained two seats, and Texas, which was denied one, were unfairly affected, while states like Rhode Island retained seats due to the Census Bureau’s mistakes.

Marsha Blackburn formally announced her campaign for governor of Tennessee Wednesday morning in a campaign video, one year before the 2026 gubernatorial primary. While Blackburn has been rumored to be running since the beginning of the year, the video serves as her official announcement, and launches a race to the right between her and Rep. John Rose, two Tennessee lawmakers closely aligned with President Donald Trump seeking to replace outgoing Gov. Bill Lee.
In the video, Blackburn kicks off her campaign by doubling down on her familiar campaign strategies: aligning herself with Trump and staking her claim as the conservative choice.

Project Veritas on Tuesday released a bombshell story from a whistleblower alleging former US Attorney General Bill Barr along with media figure Armstrong Williams is running an illegal immigration visa fraud scheme for elites and billionaires. Patrícia Lélis, whistleblower, former Brazilian journalist at Howard Stirk Holdings, who is in hiding abroad, told Project Veritas that she was prosecuted after reporting Bill Barr and Armstrong William to the FBI. “It is way more easy to defraud the immigration system and the government more than people think. And I have proof of that because that’s what Armstrong [Williams] and [Former Attorney General] Bill Barr does,” she said.

Three civil service lawyers in the Department of Justice have been hit with misconduct complaints for representing the Trump administration in court. A nonprofit funded mainly by Pierre Omidyar's Democracy Fund, the Orwellian-named "Legal Accountability Center" has filed ethics complaints with the "grievance committees" of cities where the three lawyers have either lived or practiced.[Snip] This case has nothing to do with the fate of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. What you are witnessing is an application of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals: "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Earlier on Saturday, it was revealed that Senate Republicans and Democrats were trying to formulate a deal to push through some of President Donald Trump's nominees. That came after Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) gave a speech on the Senate floor threatening to use the Harry Reid precedent to remove hurdles like two-hour debates and cloture votes.[snip] As to the deal in question, it was heavily slanted toward Democrats, approving only a "small tranche" of the around 150 nominees waiting in exchange for billions in spending for left-wing priorities and empty promises.

New York is known for a lot of things: The Big Apple, Niagara Falls, and Buffalo wings. The Empire State also lays claim to some of the worst voter rolls in the country, according to a new report from an election-integrity watchdog. According to the Public Interest Legal Foundation, nearly 50,000 registrants on New York’s voter list are registered in at least one other state. About half of those — 24,873 registrants — are also registered in Florida. Another 6,247 have duplicate registrations in North Carolina, and another 5,724 are also on New Jersey’s voting rolls.
PILF’s review stated 6,788 cases of duplicate or triplicate registrations were found

In Florida, where I live, there were reports from Communist China saying that, for weeks on end, the entire population was forcibly locked down. Anyone outside his home on unauthorized business was arrested. What some of our neighbors did not know is that the exact same thing was occurring in some American states. It was on the news, but some media downplayed it, and if people in the free states did not watch other media, they might not know the extent of what really happened. People were literally confined to their homes. Anyone outside his home on unauthorized business was arrested. Could this be true? This, after all, is the United States.

Friday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) discussed his recent proposal to ban students from nations with an adversarial relationship with the United States. The Alabama Republican specifically mentioned China and Iran as two nations placed under the ban.[snip]we’re funding our own demise in this country, Charlie. I went to a graduation in a small university this past few weeks, and I looked in their program. Now, this is small southern university, they had 40 graduates from China.[snip]we’re giving them visas, and that’s blocking our kids, our American kids, from having opportunities to take some of these slots.”

The July jobs report was a disaster for the American worker, the U.S. economy, the Federal Reserve, and Jerome Powell. But it was also a vindication for Donald Trump, for dissenting Fed Governors Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, and for a private sector economist named Neil Dutta. With payrolls rising by just 73,000 and prior months revised down by a stunning 258,000 jobs, the data confirmed what critics have warned for months: the Fed’s overly tight policy has weakened the labor market. It’s hard to imagine a sharper rebuke to Jerome Powell’s complacent view of the labor market.

It’s been buried due to a host of stories, not least being the Russian collusion hoax finally imploding and being revealed as a massive cover-up operation to sweep the fiasco involving Hillary Clinton’s email server under the rug. That’s at least a significant reason why Barack Obama and Clinton hatched this plot to frame Trump. Still, there’s another scandal that’s yet to be fleshed out, and that’s the cabal that hoarded the Biden autopen and whether the former president, who was mentally shot, was competent to sign off on the mountain of pardons and clemency petitions that came across his desk.
