Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that President Donald Trump has gone too far with mass immigration raids.”
Kelly said, “I don’t think this is what the American people wanted. Margaret, the the border security issue under President Biden was not working, and I pushed the administration on that. But we have now swung drastically in another direction. And I don’t think this is what the American people want either.”
Host Margaret Brennan said, “Well, to your point, though. President Trump won your state by almost six points in November. And, you know, immigration was one of his top promises to go ahead with this crackdown.”

In yet another unhinged outburst that highlights the radical state of the modern Democratic Party, failed Senate and presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D-TX) launched into a profane tirade this week, branding Republicans as "fascists" and openly calling on Democrat-led states to gerrymander their districts, regardless of the law. “F*** the rules, we are going to win whatever it takes,” O’Rourke shouted.
The explicit rant has drawn sharp criticism and renewed concerns over the extreme rhetoric and tactics being embraced by prominent figures on the Left.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that there was “no factual basis” for the Trump administration’s investigations into high-profile Democrats.
Host Kristen Welker said, “President Trump has launched investigations into many of his perceived political foes, including former President Barack Obama and New York Attorney General Letitia James, Democratic Senator Adam Schiff. I’m naming just a few of the people you have described this as the, quote, weaponization of the Justice Department, which is, by the way, the same criticism President Trump has made about the DOJ under former President Biden. So let me ask you about that.

Once upon a time, George Will was a conservative.
I'm not sure what he is anymore after his TDS drove him to vote for Joe Biden. Even if he didn't want to vote for Donald Trump, voting for Biden seems like a denial of everything he was before. It's certainly not a conservative position.
But what he said on Friday on HBO's "Real Time" with Bill Maher was in some ways even more surprising than that.
Maher and Will were talking about Democrat NYC mayoral race nominee, Zohran Mamdani. Maher went hard against Mamdani, saying he says "the things that communists say.

Since the day that Israeli Jews were attacked, tortured, murdered, raped and burned to death on October 7, 2023, the entire world, save for a tiny minority, has vilified, excoriated, and blamed — ta-da! — the Jews! The victims!
Why? It’s really not that hard to figure out.
We live in a world of eight billion people, the vast majority of whom have never seen or spoken to or met a Jew...a Jew whose numbers constitute a microscopic 16 million, only half of that number in Israel, another approximate seven million in America, and about another million throughout the world.

Cracker Barrel has found itself in hot water as the cherished food chain flaunts its new look - and loyal customers bemoan the lack of classic rustic charm. Locations of the Southern-themed restaurant and gift shop have been ditching their nostalgic and eclectic interiors for more modern decor since last year. A video shared by Cracker Barrel last August captioned 'New look, same Cracker Barrel!! We can't wait for you to visit' shows a Mount Juliet, Tennessee location - one of the first to undergo drastic renovations. 'We might have refreshed some things and updated a little bit, but don't worry, we're still Cracker Barrel!'

Thomas Kolbe has written about the collapse of the German economy, something pretty shocking to those of us who remember when the German economy seemed unstoppable. What’s slammed the brakes on that juggernaut is central planning that revolves around the whole Green New Deal theory. Other European countries are doing the same. Spain and Portugal had a catastrophic power outage thanks to their green energy policies, and, in England, people are getting cold and dirty in a very 19th-century way because of the UK’s drive for “Net Zero.”
Had Kamala been elected last year, America would almost certainly have gone down that path, too.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is planning to temporarily raise the prices of some of its mail services for the upcoming holiday season, the agency said in an Aug. 8 statement.
“The planned peak-season pricing, which was approved by the governors of the Postal Service on Aug. 7, would affect prices on the following retail and commercial domestic competitive parcels: Priority Mail Express (PME), Priority Mail (PM), USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select,” USPS said.
“No other products or services would be affected,” it added.

The US military is preparing to activate hundreds of National Guard troops to Washington, DC as a part of President Trump’s sweeping federal crackdown on crime in the nation’s capital, according to authorities.
Trump has yet to make a final decision about the activation of federal troops, but the National Guard is currently readying to deploy them, two US officials with knowledge of the operation confirmed to Reuters.
The preparation comes as 120 FBI agents from across the country have already begun patrolling DC streets overnight and backing up area cops at carjacking hot spots, despite many lacking local patrol work training, The Washington Post reported.

President Donald Trump is weighing whether to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug, according to a report. [Snip] This comes after cannabis companies have committed millions of dollars to the president's political groups, according to the report. [Snip] The potential move to remove marijuana from the list of Schedule I controlled substances and make it a Schedule III drug would make it significantly easier to buy and sell cannabis and make the industry more profitable.

Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, owns a small company called Financial Leasing Services, Inc. (estimated annual revenue $434,284) that bills itself as a real estate and venture capital investment and consulting firm. Nancy Pelosi herself has spent the last 38 years as a federal employee. Her current salary is $174,000 per year. Nevertheless, Paul and Nancy Pelosi are estimated to be worth around $413 million, up from a “mere” $370 million just two years ago.
This power couple’s wealth is almost magical. They are the living embodiment of the fact that, while Republicans get rich and then go into politics, Democrats go into politics and then get rich.

Zohran Mamdani promises to be President Donald Trump’s “worst nightmare” if he becomes mayor, but the actual victims of any such faceoff will be the people of New York City.
For starters, no mere mayor, even of America’s greatest city, has the juice to pick a fight with the federal government and hope to come out on top.
In fact, it’s a joke to think a Mayor Mamdani could even step in the ring.
Look: The city depends heavily on federal cash to help the people Mamdani claims to care the most about, namely the poor.
